How to get blind cat to jump up onto furniture?
Is it possible to get a 2 or 3-year-old blind cat to be confident enough to jump up onto furniture instead of clawing her way up? I get why she does it, but it is quite destructive to said furniture. :) Thanks!
4 AnswersCats8 years agoI'm 24. Why do I suddenly have more acne than ever?
I never had much acne when I was a teenager. I'm 24 now, and for the last couple of months I've been breaking out a lot more than I ever did. Does anyone know what possible causes could be?
5 AnswersSkin Conditions8 years agoShould I be worried about the cat? What do I do?
My roommate got two cats two days ago, and went out of town for the weekend yesterday. The one cat is very friendly and social, but the other cat (a boy cat) seems terrified of the other cat and hides all the time. He's very friendly with people though and loves to be pet. He'll come climb in my lap if I sit near where he is hiding. But I can't find him anywhere today! It's been nearly 24 hours since I've seen him, and I searched everywhere I can think of. Even a lot of places that just seem ridiculous. He hasn't touched his food that I put out this morning.
Anyway, I don't know if I should be worried. And if I should be worried, what do I do?
Thanks!
3 AnswersCats9 years agoSay you have a parasite... (hypothetically) ...?
Do parasites (tapeworms, etc.) themselves suffer from illnesses? Could the parasite, for example, get cancer or some other illness and die? You'd be cured then, right! But what about the dead parasite? Could a dead one still make you sick? An what if it had a contagious disease? Could it pass it to you? Or you pass a contagious disease to it, and cause it to die? Hmm.. I'm hoping this stays hypothetical, but I've wondered about this for a while.
4 AnswersBiology9 years agoDoes this sentence make sense?
I am updating my Facebook profile to include my political view, but it is late at night here and I'm sleepy, and I don't want to write something that seems incoherent, or is just strangely worded. Does this sound correct?
"A government's purpose should be to protect its citizens from having their rights violated by others. A government's purpose should not be to compel its citizens to behave in accordance with their own good"
That sounds off to me, but I'm not sure why. It might be ok, but I just think it's wrong since I'm sleepy. I guess this is one time I'm actually asking to have my grammar criticized on the internet! :D
Thanks for your suggestions!
3 AnswersWords & Wordplay9 years agoWhat to do for bachelorette party between restaurant and coming to my house for games and gifts?
We're going to a restaurant at 6, then going to my house. But we were thinking we should do something in between the two. Any ideas? I don't have ANY. The bride does not drink, and it probably shouldn't be too crude. :) Thanks!
1 AnswerOther - Games & Recreation9 years agoWhere can I buy miniature (toy) generators?
I've seen them a couple years ago in a magazine, but I can't remember where. I think it sold a "bag of generators." Yes, I've tried googling, but nothing right turns up! What I'm looking for is just a miniature generator where you turn a shaft and it produces a tiny amount electricity. Size-wise, I think the ones I saw before weren't more that 2 inches long. Any ideas? Thanks!
Hobbies & Crafts10 years agoIf I take a five hour energy in the afternoon, will it keep me up tonight?
Does it have effects much after the five hours? I didn't sleep well at all last night, and need to be awake this afternoon (can't take a nap). But I also need to get enough sleep tonight. Thanks!
3 AnswersDiet & Fitness10 years agoHow long do croissants last?
I'm planning my friends bridal shower this Saturday, and about 60 people are coming. I'm trying to prepare as much as I can a few days ahead, and one of the things I'm making are chicken salad croissants. How far in advance can I buy the croissants to be sure they won't get stale? (Or moldy!) I already have a bunch of chicken boiled, cut-up, and frozen. Thanks!
2 AnswersOther - Food & Drink10 years agoWhat do you put in chicken salad?
I typically just put in chicken, mayonnaise, and celery. What else do people put in it? Thanks!
17 AnswersCooking & Recipes10 years agoI want to get plants in my tank, but am worried about snails. I want to keep the one snail.?
I had live plants in the fish tank last year, and loved them, but I ended up with dozens and dozens of mini snails. I kept the one that was biggest and emptied out the whole tanks to get rid of the rest. I want plants again because they are so pretty, but I don't want more snails. I don't want to use snail killer, because I want to keep my one nickle-sized snail named Cilantro. Any ideas? Thanks!
5 AnswersFish1 decade agoWhat do people think about Ohio? (Stereotypes)?
My brothers teacher was from somewhere in New England, and he said he had always thought of Ohio as being all farms and rural areas. Ohio has the 9th highest population density out of the 50 states, so I'm just curious if other people think this, and what other stereotypes (if any) people have when they think of Ohio! Thanks! :)
4 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups1 decade agoAre candles uncommon in China?
I have a friend from China. She came over to my house the other day to bake cookies, and my mom had one of those large candles in a jar lit on the counter. My friend asked me what the purpose of it was, and I told her it was because it smelled good. Before she left, she laughed and took a picture of it (she was also taking pictures of the cookies we made with her phone to show her other friends). Are candles just not used often at all in China? Or was it because it was the kind in the jar?
2 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoI have a jar of bamboo shoots in chili oil. What do I eat them with?
Are there any simple recipes that use it? I've considered eating them on a hot dog (like sauerkraut) or on rice, but I'm not sure if that'd be good or not. I have no idea what to do with bamboo shoots in chili oil (or any other kind of bamboo shoots), but I have a jar and want to try it. Thanks!

13 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoWhat should I put on my resume?
I was homeschooled from kindergarten until I graduated from high school and am graduating from college this year with a degree in mechanical engineering. The last two years of high school I technically/legally attended a small private school called "Trinity Christian Academy". Trinity Christian Academy was an "08" private school that was run by my parents, met at my home, and had one student (me!). We just did it this way so that I could take calculus (1-3) and a few other classes at my university during my last two years of high school. A lot of homeschooled high-schoolers in Ohio do it this way. Anyway, now that I'm graduating from college and want to get an engineering job, I'm not sure what to put on my resume. I kind of want to put that I was homeschooled, because I really was. I'm very glad I was homeschooled too. I'm really not sure how other people view homeschoolers though; I'm worried that a potential employer will view this as a negative thing, even though it isn't. Legally, I did graduate from "Trinity Christian Academy", but I'm not sure if putting this would be at all deceptive. I'd appreciate any thoughts! Thanks.

Say a person had some sort of parasite. Is it possible for the parasites to get cancer? If so, would the parasite problem just take care of itself unless the parasites got chemo?
2 AnswersOther - Health1 decade agoAt what temperature should sauerkraut be eaten?
I like sauerkraut, but I don't eat it that often. Tomorrow we are having sauerkraut on hot dogs and I don't know if I should refrigerate it, heat it, or keep it at room temperature before I put it out. What do you do? Thanks!
5 AnswersOther - Food & Drink1 decade agoWhat should I be doing?
I have absolutely nothing to do right now. I just got home from my class a half hour ago and don't have any homework or anything. Oddly, I really feel like doing something productive, but I'm not sure what. Any suggestions? It doesn't necessarily have to be productive, but I don't want to watch TV or read, and its raining, so outside isn't a good option. Thanks for any ideas!
