My daughter is starting clarinet lessons next semester at school and I am looking at buying v/s renting. What brands should I look for and which should I steer away from? She is musically inclined (plays piano and has played the violin) but I would like to start with a beginner model and then move up in the future if necessary.

Also, what price range should I be looking at? I think it will cost around $30-$40 a month to rent so figure buying will be better long term.

I am being offered a Victor Arms Shotgun 16ga. I have not seen it yet but the owner says it is in good shape and about 80 yrs old. What would be a descent price to pay? I know condition is critical so a table showing condition v/s price would be appreciated.

If it is in good condition, are these generally safe to shoot?

My father in law got a Mauser hunting rifle from his late father who actually bought it at the Mauser plant in Germany many years ago. He has a box of rounds and they are 8x68S. Does anyone know where I can find this round?

Just purchased my first Ishapore and I am new to Enfield’s all together. Can anyone point the way on how to insert the bolt in the rifle? I have gotten it past the trigger. Then it seems you need to twist the tip of the bolt towards the right to slip it in. At first it wouldn’t move right as it was hitting the receiver. I then realized that you can unscrew the tip a bit and after a few twists it moved right and snapped into place. The bolt will not move forward from this point.

It’s probably a piece of cake but I didn’t want to force anything and possibly breaking something. Can anyone explain how to get it in or send me a link as to where I can see a step by step?

Also, the black paint is flaking off so I’m thinking of taking it all off and refinishing it. Have anyone had any experience with this? What do you recommend?

I recently purchased a Chilean Mauser and wanted to know where I could find some "cheap" ammo in 7mm Mauser. I've read that the surplus ammo has pretty much dried out so any recomendation would be good. Any kind will do.

Found a modified Saiga in .223 for sale and wanted some help in trying to determine if the price they are asking is for is OK. The modifications include the pistol grip and the repositioning of the trigger in a more traditional AK setup. It has a 16"3/4 barrel and the standard 10 round mag. What would be a resonable price to pay?

Also, from what I have read, it seems that the Saiga is better in quality than the Romanian WASR. Does anyone know how it compares the Yugo that is currently for sale in the market?

Can anyone comment on experience with the .223 v/s the 7.62 model. Is there a significant difference as far as the reliability and performance of the rifle?

Worked OK for a while (slower but stable) and now it gives me an error report everytime I close an explorer window. If I am working on several explorer sessions at once and I close one, it generates an error report and shuts them all down.

Anyone know how to solve this?

My molds are getting old and I need to find a supplier that sells or can make big molds for me. I am looking for at least 18in high and a base of at least 5in in several shapes and sizes.

I have looked in every site I could find and all molds seem to be small. There are some tall ones but they are very narrow.

I am not looking for any miracle weight loss program because I know enough to know they dont exist. What I am looking for is motivation to stick with a program. I used to work out heavily while in my 30's but now that I am in my 40's I have lost the motivation to just work out, especially on my own. I play a lot of sports and for the most part eat right but I know that I need to work more on my cardio and on my core strength to avoid injuries (quiet common these days....). The infomercial seems motivating but was curious to hear real life cases before investing.

I need help. My computer started acting strangly so I wanted to re-install a fresh copy of Windows XP. I ran setup and asked for a full format of the disk thru set-up before the installation. For some reason I got different types of errors and cant get it to run (corrupt kernal, device driver support issues, etc). What I want is to format the disks (I have 2 and windows has run on both at some time) in order to make sure I am starting fresh. I tried the traditional DOS format through a diskette but because I changed to a NTSC file system it wont recognize it. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I am a right hander but kick left footed. Additionally, I play frisbee and drible a basketball with my left hand but do everything else with my right. Why is this? What does it mean (if anything)? Probably nothing but still it is curious to me since it does not seem to be too common....
