I am a (super) senior in college finishing my degree in music, specifically violin. I was homeschooled K-12 and love to talk to people about the joys of homeschooling. I teach private violin lessons to 28 amazing kids and hope to continue teaching full time once school is done. I was married in May to Prince Charming and I enjoy politics, reading, anything to do with fashion, playing Wii, and eating out.

  • What music theory book do you use with your students?

I am a private violin/viola/piano teacher and I am interested in starting group lessons with my students in which I will incorporate a theory segment. What theory books/curriculum do you recommend?

    Thanks!

  • Musical cancer fundraiser?

Hi there, I am finishing up my BA in music and I have to do a senior project. I was thinking of planning a fundraiser with my violin students to somehow raise money for the cancer ward at a local children's hospital. Anyone have ideas on how I could go about this?

  • Field trip for high school aged kids concerning...?

Slavery and indentured servants in the midwest?

Where could I take them and/or what could we do concerning the rise of slavery and the indentured servants in the Chesapeake Bay area during the middle 1700's? I already have an activity and now I need an outing/field trip?

  • I need detailed instructions for Blackberry/iTunes ringtones?

How can I make ringtones for my Blackberry pearl using music I already have on my iTunes and the USB cable that came with my phone?

The more detailed the instructions the better as I'm not very computer savvy! Thanks!

  • Why are the geese around my area flying north?

I live right off of I-70 which runs East and West. Lately there have been a lot of geese around the area (Missouri) and they are always flying north. I thought they flew south for the winter? Is Missouri considered 'south' to geese?

  • Guys, would this present be weird for Valentines Day...?

Would it be weird if I sent my husband a cookie or candy bouquet and had it delivered to his work? Or is that something that guys wouldn't like? Obviously we'll be having a nice dinner and doing other things that night.

  • Ok, so no to webs.com, the free version, but...?

I need a website that can play clips of multiple songs that I will be recording, maybe show a few pictures, and have a place that I can show what previous clients have said about my services as a violinist. What would something like that cost for a year? I have no computer 'wisdom' and I would not be able to design the website unless it had templates like blogger.com, that I can handle. :D

  • A question about 'webs.com'?

Has anyone used this free site before? If you don't want to purchase a domain name and you just want a free website, what would your address look like?

  • What do you think about this 'Enlightening Sex Fact'?

According to sex researcher Shere Hite, most men don’t marry the women they’re most passionately in love with. Instead, they like to remain in control of their feelings and choose their wives rationally. Furthermore, they’re quite proud of it.

  • I'm looking for a pen that folds out.....?

And I think it was sort of a triangle shape.... I know that's really vague, but my husband really wants one and claims he used to have one and it was his favorite pen ever. So I thought it would be a good stocking stuffer only I forgot the name! Any pen fanatics with ideas?

  • How many times has your McCain sign been stolen?

I have had three signs stolen in the past two weeks. My yard is huge, I put the sign right by the house, and it creeps me out that someone is trespassing on my property to steal my things. And they do it in broad daylight too! None of the Obama signs on my street have gone missing.

  • Is it already too cold for my mums?

I have two mum plants in a big pot on my porch. The last few nights it has been getting down into the forties and my mums are slowly dying. All summer long they were full green, very healthy. Yesterday I went out to water them and noticed some weeds had grown right in the middle (and sort of on top) of the plants. Sadly, I noticed this because the leaves are starting to die. I pulled the weeds but the roots were very thick and deep. I would really like to save these mums if possible because they were my moms last year and she gave them to me as a gift for moving into my first house.

  • Smelly (in a bad way) vacuum?

I have no idea what I could have sucked up my vacuum to make it smell bad (well, there was that cricket and the spider from the bathroom...) but it stinks! What can I do to make the smell go away?
