Atheists, does it bring a smile to your face...?
...when you are the person to give a stupid creationist answer a thumbs down that makes 5 more TDs than TUs and subsequently causes that answer to be hidden due to its low rating?
I love doing that.
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWhy do Christians say we don't have the mental capacity to understand God's motivations?
Do they have a parrot on their shoulder? Are they a conjoined twin? Who is this "we" they are referring to?
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoChristians: Is your god all-loving or does he deliver cruel & unusual punishment?
Punishing someone eternally for a thought crime of disbelief committed during a finite lifetime is excessive. If your god is all-loving, he would either punish non-believers in a more humane and constructive way or provide ample evidence of his existence.
18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoChristians: Is your god all-knowing or do we have free will?
If your god is all-knowing, then he knows what I will decide to do before I decide to do it and I really have not made a choice. I have simply done what I was predestined to do.
That being the case, how can I be punished for doing that which I was predestined to do?
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoWho does more to promote atheism?
Atheists who do good things in their community?
or
Fundamentalist Christians who actively preach the hatred, intolerance, and bigotry that is their religion?
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoWhy do Christians ask atheists to respect their religious beliefs...?
...when they clearly do not respect the fact that we do not believe because all available data refutes rather than supports their claim? Seems hypocritical, doesn't it?
*The plural of anecdote is not data.
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoChristians, can we at least agree on this...?
The Westboro Baptist Church has it all wrong... God doesn't hate fags, he hates FIGS!
KJV Matthew 21:18-22
Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered. And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.
And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away! Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoFellow atheists, do you think we could compromise with Christians if...?
...instead of eating healthy babbies, we only ate special needs babbies? When properly prepared, you can hardly tell the difference.
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoDid Judas hang himself or explode?
Matthew 27:3-5 KJV "Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that. And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself."
Acts 1:16-18 KJV "Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus. For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry. Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out."
I'm beginning to think this stuff is all made up...
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoWhy do anti-abortionists call themselves "pro-lifers" when a vast majority of them favor capital punishment?
They should call themselves what they really are, "anti-choice" rather than lying. Since many anti-abortionists are Christian, they directly violate one of the 10 Commandments, "Thou shalt not bear false witness against your neighbor" when they call themselves "pro-life".
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoIf God is all-loving, how could he allow eternal suffering to exist?
By the definition of "all-loving", there is no room for hatred or vengeance. Eternal punishment for thought crimes committed during a finite lifetime would be considered cruel and unusual and is hardly fitting of an all-loving being.
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoIf God is all-knowing, how can we have free will?
By the definition of "all-knowing", an all-knowing being would know what we would do before we could decide to do it. Free will would therefore be an illusion.
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoIf God is all-powerful, why does he require that we believe in him?
By the definition of "all-powerful", an all-powerful being would have no outside requirements of any kind.
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoChristians, how do you define your god?
As a former Catholic, I was always told that God was all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-loving and that he would punish non-believers with eternal torment in hell. This definition is inconsistent with itself since an all-powerful being would have no need for anything from us. It would also be sufficiently motivated, informed, and capable of doing whatever was necessary so that all would believe (even going so far as to make belief unnecessary for salvation). So since God cannot be all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-loving and send non-believers to hell, how can you define your god in a way that is consistent with reality?
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoDoes anyone understand this guy's analogy?
It seems like he's implying that by not believing in God, I spend my time getting drunk, sleeping around, and playing video games that transport me out of this world into a virtual one. Does he not understand that by deluding myself into thinking that some magical sky daddy is going to take care of me after I die is no different than transporting myself out of this world into a virtual one?
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AlZSY...
With no evidence, there is no reason to believe that any god or afterlife is anything more than a virtual (unreal/imaginary) world.
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoFrom a spiritual standpoint, so many girls in here where do I begin?
I see this one, I'm 'bout to go in
Then she said, "I'm here with my friends"
She got me thinkin' and that's when I said
Where them girls at, girls at?
Where them girls at, girls at?
Where them girls at, girls at?
So go get them, we can all be friends.
2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoIf God is not able to drive out an army equipped with iron chariots...?
do you think today's armies, with their tanks and jets and guns and bombs will have any trouble defeating God if he shows up one day? Since he is all-knowing, he should know better than to show his face around here. That jerk has a lot of explaining to do to a lot of amputees.

Judges 1:19
King James Version (KJV)
19 And the LORD was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.
