Christians, can we at least agree on this...?

The Westboro Baptist Church has it all wrong... God doesn't hate fags, he hates FIGS!

KJV Matthew 21:18-22

Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered. And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.

And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away! Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

This man here, he got it all figured out, here's a cookie, *gives cookie*

  • Well to tell you the truth, your wrong on both accounts. God loves the sinner, but hates the sin.

Also, the tree didn't have figs. Jesus was looking for figs. My must of liked 'em.

We can agree that God does not hate gays. God does not hate figs. He created them. He destroyed the fig tree in this situation because it did not produce fruit. We are also to produce fruit in our lives otherwise we are useless.

How sad it is, that poor old Fred Phelps misunderstood a fairly clear passage in the Bible, and, in what some believe is an attempt to deny his own homosexual tendencies, ended up behaving very badly.

And since he behaved so badly, in the Name of Jesus, he has done great harm to the Christian religion.

The saddest part is that Jesus is required to forgive Fred, since, like the people who behaved badly at the Crucifixion, Fred and his brainwashed culties "...know not what they do."

God seems to hate many things he created.
