What is unique about the genome of Borrelia burgdorferi? Anyone know off the top of their head to point me in the right direction?
I can't say I know much about the genomics of spirochetes and there are no papers that are spelling it out for me as to what exactly is unique about it, just looking for a point in the right direction to stop this endless trawl through the literature...
Thanks in advance

1 AnswerBiology6 years agoIf you have a graph absorbance (y) and time (x) and you calculate the gradient let's say 0.4/4=0.1 what does that represent?
It feels like a stupid question, does that represent absorbance per minute?

Would they simply be suspended at random? It is unclear to me whether the pull mechanism of the microtubules is that which aligns them along the equatorial plane.

My understanding is that it destroys the spindle apparatus causing mitosis to be arrested in metaphase.
So, my true questions are - does it break down the microtubles? Do they still begin to form in prophase? Is it possible to see cells in other stages of the cell cycle after colchine has been applied?

There's a blank on on of my university slides and I cannot work out the answer or how to find said answer beyond checking a textbook however I am not in town for my university library so I don't have access to the book.
The slides are on enzyme assays which I'm currently making notes on.

The hydrolase -glucosidase can be measured using artificial substrate.
p-nitrophenyl-(ALPHA)-D-glucose --> ?
Would the absorbance increase or decrease with time ?
Why?

I'm sure I could draw conclusions if I understood what was meant by "p-nitrophenyl-(ALPHA)-D-glucose --> ?" but I don't understand...
