So I bought a new laptop and bought a wireless mouse with it. I have another mouse that doesn't work anymore and I mixed up their USB hubs. So I tried inserting the old hub into the port, and while it did go in, I had to use some extra force that I thought was a bit unnatural for getting in a little USB hub. I eventually found the right USB hub and it slide in just fine. I'm guessing the older USB hub was another version, and while it did register, did not insert smoothly. So did I mess up my laptops port (it's working fine right now) or do I really have nothing to swear over?

I would like to learn more on the subject and read something that is relatively recent ( such as within the decade, preferably past 2012 if so). Something detailed, scientific yet hopefully not dry haha! But yeah, something thats reputable and doesnt mince things. The topic has started to greatly interest me!

I was cleaning when a drop of clorox got in my eye. It didnt really burn, but I rinsed the eye as best I could in the shower. Will I lose my vision or go blind? Can a drop cause that amount of damage or will my eye heal itself? It doesn't seem to hurt with the exception of some sorbess from the washing

Is it safe to clean my earbuds with the clorox wipes? Will it affect or hurt my hearing. Nothing seems to have been going bad, and I dry off the earbuds right after and it's usually an hour before I put them in my ear for music. But still, is it safe to use the wipes?

I'm usually very careful with it, but in this case i got butterfingers and dropped a deodorant spray can on it ( i have like a mini home theater shelf thing, and i keep deodorant, spray, etc on top shelf). The can was 2.8 oz and the height from which i dropped it was around 2-3 feet. There doesn't seem to be any damage and there are no dents. Will the ps4 be alright? Are they even sturdy? Thanks to anyone who can put my worrying to rest

I'm looking for a weekly or monthly magazine or news site that covers national, international, cultural, economic affairs etc that didn't have a completely one sided bias like democrat or republic. Something that true to stay true to the story, provides all the facts and everything, out at least gives different points of view. I'm just tired of having to watch fox or msnbc or abc news when i know they are citing things out or discussing things that should be discussed. Any suggestions will be helpful. Thanks

Will a quick glance at the sun damage my vision permanently or just temporarily? I do get those weird colors when I close my eyes after. Can someone help?

I want to get into a martial art, but I'm having a bit of difficulty in deciding which one to pick. I want to learn something that is practical and will let me defend myself in most situations. But I also would like to learn how to use weapons (swords, staffs, etc) which is why I'm interested in Bujinkan.

The only problem is, is that I keep hearing how Bujinkan is a load of **** or that it's like a cult

I just don't want to waste my money on something that is all flash and dazzle, but will teach me to defend/better myself

I'm a junior in highschool and have always wanted to study abroad. While my dream of going during my highschool years might've blew away with the wind, I thought I might try college. Anyway I looked into the global 30 japan program and it seems really good. But has anybody here gone through it? How is it, and is it expensive? I plan on going into anthropology or life sciences and I was debating on Meiji or tsukuba. language isnt a problem since I like learning it, but money might. I am not exactly the most financially blessed but would love to go. Also, what GPA should i have to be considered? Thank you :)

I'm a 16 year old male and I have a mother who has been diagnosed with severe depression, OCD and is bipolar. Over the last 8 years she has been going from a normal woman to what seems to be abroken old toy. I love her but I cannot take the emotional stress she has put on my family. She married my stepdad who was nothing but an *** hole to me and would tell her things like "he said he didn't love you" and crap like that. After their marriage I became so quiet and shy because they crippled my self esteem and I never brought friends over due to the fact they would always be fighting. The constant fighting, stepdad getting kicked out and then returning cycle nearing drove me insane! Ive been so sad for the last couple of years that I've tried to kill myself numerous times, yet never could do to the fact I wanted to grow up and leave it all behind.

This past months have been the worst of it all. During new years my mom kicked my stepdad out and was determined to divorce him once and for all. But during april she started breaking down and lost so much wait and didn't even look like she slept at all! She would always cry out of nowhere and just lash out for no reason. She then started seeing my stepdad again and dropped the divorce. Whenever me and my brother were somewhere else she would sneak him in and stay overnight. But last week she took a huge amount of pills and didn't tell anybody for the entire weekend. Then on Monday I came I skipped practice because I felt something was wrong and when I came home I saw police and an ambulance in front of my house! When I went to see what happened I saw her trying to kill herself and just screaming hysterically. She went to a psych ward in a hospital and when I would speak to her she sounded alright and said she was getting better. She came home this Monday and she has been on and off and I don't know what to do or how to feel. I don't want to live like this anymore. I want to move out but everybody else in my family can't afford to care for me financially. I feel like I'm just losing it living here and that I won't be able to function normally as an adult. What should I do? Should I call child services and explain my situation. Sorry for the enormous post :(

Hi, I want to know which one is the better game. I've always enjoyed the mystery dungeon games but conquest seems really cool.which one had the better story and content. Which did you enjoy Better? Which has more bang for the buck?

I have heard others say that western leans more towards personality traits and how they act or what the believe and Vedic is used for events, karma, reincarnation, things like how many children will I have or what my career would be and what not. Although I hear you can do both with each but one is more geared towards something else. idk, could someone explain the differences and the uses for each? Maybe useful links?

i bought some tea from teavana and some family came over and all wanted some I only got 2 oz. but used pretty much all of it. now I have no idea where to put it. I'm a sophomore high school student in America and I am thinking about moving to a country in Asia when I have enough funds. I want to major in humanities (sociology, Cultural anthropology) and want to know if there are any colleges ( mostly Japan, china, or India) that specialize in this. I'm not looking for an ultra prestigious school, as I would like some form of social life next to studying, but a good college none the less. My mom and stepdad have practically been destroying my life for as long as the were married. For the last 7 years I would have to come home from school just to hear my stepdad pick a fight over anything and everything he can find. What's worse is that they blame me for their marriage problems. They say if I was out of the house, or if I wasn't there the house would be a much better place. In elementary/middle school I was very quiet and shy and he would start yelling at me he called me a pussy for not standing up to him but when I would call bs on something he would say that he would mess me up if I tried to start anything ( he would think I wanted to start a fist fight ) but not only that, when my mom would come home to these arguments, he would lie to her by saying I hated them and I would rather live somewhere else( which was true but I never said it ). So after in 7th grade is when I started getting depressed and my grades dropped. This gave them more to pick on me, calling me a failure and how I wasn't going to make it in the world. My stepdad is always drinking and drunk, I started to not want to bring friends over to the house and so they picked on me for being a loner and how i was a bit solitary. During my freshman year I got back on track but he keeps persisting on starting **** and my mom doesn't care. So my grades started dropping again and I became depressed again. It's now my sophomore year and I have had enough. I'm tired of this endless fighting, and I'm tired of hearing them talk **** about my goals and dreams. I wanted to talk to a counselor to see if I could move to a different house, foster care, anything! But my brother says I'm overreacting, and I shouldn't be "dramatic" I feel like he feels the same way too, but doesn't want to go through any drastic change. But I've had it. I just want it to end. I'm not the perfect person, I can be messy and lazy but I wonder if I'm actually as lazy and messy as I catch myself sometimes, before they got married I used to be on top of things, kind of lazy and messy but I was organized. Idk, I just give up what should I do? I really don't want to die or get hurt. But I can't live like this anymore. Help!?

I'm looking for some accurate books that have stories/ descriptions of Celtic gods, goddesses, and heroes/important people. It doesn't have to be exclusively Irish, if it included Irish, welsh, Cornish etc. that would be even better! I don't have a problem with scholarly types of writing, but I would kinda prefer a story telling form. But it's all good :) also if there is a book on pronunciation Gaelic, Cornish etc, that would be great too! Thank u!

So I'm a 16 year old male who has recently become very interested in paganism and Wicca. In my early years I was raised as a Jehovah's witness, but for as long as I can remember I felt no connection to the Christiant god. Not when I prayed or begged for help. But now I've come across The Path and it just felt like I was at home. And I felt such a connection to the god and goddess too. If just felt right.I never felt so spiritual in my life! Now that I think about I've always been a nature boy and always into the unknown. But recently I've just hit this brick wall, just out of nowhere! And for whatever reason, the memories of my grandma condemning anything to do outside of her faith was evil. And it's not that I believe in her faith anymore, there is just no connection, but the memories and lectures about how everything is of the devil keeps popping up in my mind whenever I'm trying to research the subject or even sleep! I know that this is my path or atleast something close to this as I cannot see myself ever going back to Christianity, but what do I do? Is this normal when you leave a faith and are introduced to another? Do I just let this pass over or do I meditate? I don't have any altars or candles so is there anyway to get over this? Today there was a waxing or waning moon and I felt a connection but when I shifted my focus I was back to neutral again. I can't even meditate properly anymore either! I was able to sit down and just relax and do it but now I've become a bit more fidgety and it's become harder after these memories have come along.

Hi! I'm so I have become interested in these to religions through some teachings of these through my church( I attend a Unitarian universalist church) and I was hoping if you guys could give any good books on these subjects. Anything from primers to 101, encyclopedias, whatever! The high priestess of a coven who attends my church suggested "the inner temple of witchcraft" by christiphor penczak . I heard a lot of good things about the book and a lot of bad things so If you read it any opinion would be helpful.

Since I'm only 16 and too young to join a proper coven I was wondering of any pagan/ Wiccan books that go into depth of history have the who, what, where and why of subjects and have a classroom feel to it. Something that helps you train yourself with psychic ability and everything instead of just throwing rituals and spells at you right off the bat.

As for any eastern subjects like meditation techniques, chakras, reincarnation, mantras, history, 101s, and guides and the like would be wonderful too.

Sorry for the long list but I want to start off with a solid foundation and being 100% ready and confident rather than doing something by accident I might regret haha

Alright, here is the story.When my father was four years old, his mother (my grandmother) left him sito my grandpa for unknown reasons. I was told thatshe left to be some "free spirit" (it was the 60's) and was never heared from again. Even her entire side of the family just withdrew. When my mother bechamel pregnant with me, they tried to search for her, but no results. Now, 16 years later, i have possibly found her as the website has shown me the correct name and the age she would be now. But what I'm asking is, should I make an attempt to contact her? I don't know exactly what happened back then and don't want to open any healed wounds. On the other hand, i want to meet her and any possible aunts/uncles and cousins I have. Has anybody gone through this problem? any advice? I'm just scared that if it is her I'm going to start some family war. What should I do?
