  • need help with bicycle wheel size.?

a few weeks ago, I took a turn too sharply and bent my front wheel pretty badly. I tried to straighten it out with a spoke wrench but I think it is bent beyond repair. So, I figured I would just buy a new wheel. On the tire, it says 26" X 2.1 but when I look online I can only seem to find 26" X 1.75 size wheels. I assume this last number is the width, My question is: Is it possible to put a 26" X 1.75 on my bike or not? Is the 2.1 an unusual width?

  • has anyone else had similar problems with Casio Exilim cameras?

I have had two Casio Exilim cameras: a 6.0 MP ex-z60, which I have been having problems with the lens for about 8 10 months or so, the shutter closes to take a picture, then it will not open sometimes and I have to power on and off a couple times before it will open back up.

Because of this, I bought a 8.1 MP ex-s880, which for some reason now when I power on, the lens pops out, there are two quick buzzes, the lens closes and the camera shuts off. I have been told that either there possibly is sand in the lens.

I am now looking to get something new, as it would be too expensive to get them fixed. Other than these problems, I really love the Casio Exilim cameras. So, my question is: Is what has happened to my cameras common problems that happen with these Casios or have I just been unlucky and/or careless?

If you have had either of these cameras or a similar casio, help me out please

    Thanks

  • Machu Picchu question.?

I live in Chile and I am going to Machu Picchu in a few weeks. I want to spend one day wandering around the city. I have heard Sunday is a good day to go because all of the tour groups are at a market and it isn't as crowded. True?

Also, I wanted to climb and hike some of the surrounding hills and stuff around the actual city, such as Huayna Picchu and Machu Picchu Mountain and the Temple of the Moon. My question is, do I have to pay the park admission to climb these other paths and hills? Are they included in the park or not?

I don't like tour groups and would rather do all this without guides.

  • The display colors on my display are off? Hardware problem.?

A while back somebody kicked the back of my computer and ever since then the color on my display is off. what should be blue is more of a turquoise-green color and the red looks more pinkish.

The place where the monitor is plugged in on the back is somewhat loose. I have tried to wiggle it but that does no good or just makes it worse. I have tried multiple monitors and am positive it is a hardware issue with the computer

I have an HP Pavilion Slimline s3330f

What kind of damage could have possibly been done? What do I need to replace to get my color display correct once again?

    Thanks for helping.

  • What kind of adapter can I get for my HP Slimline?

I recently replaced the power supply on my HP Slimline, but lo and behold, the power supply I purchased off ebay works perfectly except the cord that goes to the DVD-ROM is not compatible. The power supply cord would work on an older CD Rom drive, but is there anything I can get to get my power supply properly connected to my DVD Drive?

  • What did I break and what do I need to replace on my computer?

I just moved to Chile a few days ago from the States. I brought my desktop which is an HP Slimline. I bought a surge protector that American plugs can plug into. However, being an idiot, I did not flip the switch on the back that would change the voltage, so when I plugged in my computer, it shorted out the power for my floor. Once we hit the circuit breaker, all of the power came back on but I screwed up my computer.

Is my computer fixable? I was thinking that I just blew the power supply out and if that is the case, I can find a new one on ebay and fix it. Will a new power supply fix my computer? I was using a surge protector, so hopefully that saved my hard drive and everything else.

    Please help, Thank you.

  • Life in Santiago?

I am considering moving to Santiago, Chile to teach English. What can I expect to pay for rent. I don't need anything fancy. What about internet access? I will be making about 350,000 pesos a month so I know I won't be living the high life, but is that enough to live semi-comfortably? Anything else I should know about Santiago would be helpful. Thanks.

  • Why does everybody think Thomas Jefferson was so great?

seriously, he wrote the Declaration, which was good but he basically did nothing during the Revolution except be a horrible gov. of Virginia. He was against the Constitution. He paid Thomas Calender and others to slander Pres. Washington and Pres. Adams when he was supposed to be part of their administrations. He refused to cross party lines and help Pres. Adams end hostilities with France. He was probalby one of the most cut throat politicians we have ever seen. As president the only things I think he did that were any good were promoting the separation of Church and State and the war with Tripoli, both good moves. but other than that what? We basically lucked into the Louisiana Purchase, its not like TJ did any great negotiating or anything. The Trade embargo was an absolute diasater and his VP turned out to be a murderer and a traitor. And I haven't even mentioned the whole slavery thing or Sally Hemings and the fact that he had slave kids who he didn't free. I don't understand it!!
