  • What are your thoughts on ComboFix?

Recently, I've been getting an error that says: "The program can't start because WININET.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

This error shows up whenever I start up my computer and open certain webpages. This DLL file isn't missing at all. I found a notepad file with a bunch of "%systemroot%.xml" codes, but I don't know if that's the culprit. Basically this error disabled my Flash player, anti-virus program and other programs that were installed already. I'm using Windows 7, BTW.

I just discovered ComboFix a few hours ago, but haven't ran it yet. I would like everyone's feedback on this program and see if it would reverse this error I'm getting.

  • How do I fix "WININET.dll" error?

Whenever I start my computer and open certain webpages, I get an error that says: "The program can't start because WININET.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

This error shows up for several programs that I have installed already. I can't use Adobe Flash and Reader, Internet Explorer and I can't scan my computer with my anti-virus program. I can download stuff, but I can't install them properly. I'm currently using Google Chrome. What should I do? I'm using Windows 7 if that's helpful.

  • Which version of Microsoft Office can I install in my HP Mini computer?

I already have Microsoft Works, which kind of sucks. Whenever I try to open a Word Processor document, it opens up as a Word Pad document instead.

I have Windows XP if anyone wants to know.
