  • Why won't the front passenger-side window on my 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis roll down?

I am having some problems with the Driver's Door Module, and my keyless entry will not work, but that has been going on for a good while before the window stopped working all-together. Neither the driver's-side window buttons or the passenger's-side buttons work. I removed the motor to test it. I hooked it up to the battery, and it works perfectly fine. I removed the DDM to see if that was causing some problems, but there was still no change (all other windows work fine without the DDM). Any ideas? I appreciate any and all answers.

Also, I recently had to fix the Blend Door Actuator. Is there place where a wire runs through the dash to the passenger door that I may have missed when hooking everything back up? I thought the window worked after I put everything back together, but I didn't make a concrete mental note of it.

  • What's the difference between a bank canceling my credit card and me canceling it?

I know, there's a blatantly obvious answer to the question, but I really want to know how each case would affect my credit. The card was one of my oldest with one of my highest limits, and it was canceled due to inactivity on the account. Based on that alone, I thought it would be worthwhile calling them up to reissue my card, but I figured I should get some insight from others.

    Thank you.

  • Since Chase bought Washington Mutual, can I merge my credit cards?

I'm not sure if they're still separate banks since Chase now owns Washington Mutual or if it would be possible to merge those accounts. Thank you.

  • Will having a Chase credit card help me with getting a decent loan from a Chase bank?

I'm trying to think of any reasons not to cancel my Chase card. Will I have a better chance of having a great rate on a car, student, or home loan if I have a Chase credit card? I want to know if there is a direct correlation, not some indirect connection like my credit score being higher because of more available credit. I did some analysis on different outcomes (longer credit history length vs. decrease in available credit, etc) of canceling different cards, and everything seems like it's a go for canceling the Chase card, and I just didn't know about this one detail.

    Thank you.

  • What's better, a GeForce 8600GTS with 256 MB memory or 8600GT with 512 MB memory?

Assume they're both the same price. I'm mainly going to use it for video and photo editing and website design, but I have game time, too (Halos, WoW, whatever else sparks my interest).

Or do you have a recommendation for a different video card in the GeForce 8 series to accomplish these tasks?

  • Football rules question: Does a football have to leave the endzone completely to avoid a safety?

If Team A is on offense on their own 1 yard line, and Team B sacks the quarterback with the nose of the football barely out of the endzone, is it considered a safety, or does the ball get moved up so it's not in the endzone?

I don't know the answer, I'm just curious.

  • How are Tom Brady and Ben Roth::cough::ger over 100% owned?

    http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl

I assume they ask a few people that aren't in fantasy leagues if they own anyone, and they politely exclaim that they do, in fact own Tom and/or Ben.

  • What would happen if every single team was found to be cheating like the New England Patriots?

Would everybody lose a first round draft pick? Would they start allowing a linebacker to wear a mic so they didn't have to flash the signals across the field? Just wondering about your thoughts.

Note that I said "found to be cheating" because a lot of people think every single team cheats by video taping signals.

  • How do you answer homework questions?

When someone asks a question that is obviously a homework question, which do you do?:

    a) tell them to do their own darn homework,

    b) skip it because the kids usually don't pick out a best answer,

    c) answer it wrong,

    d) answer it correctly because you're nice, or

    e) answer it correctly because you know that if you don't, someone else will and you might as well try to get the points if you're going to answer it.

  • Do RN's have access to anyone's private medical information?

Here's the situation: my wife had a lesbian stalker back in college. The lesbian recently graduated as an RN from the same university's Health Science Center that my wife first saw a doctor for the pregnancy. We never told anyone the due date, but the lesbian called up my wife's brother (lesbian had the number because she stole my wife's phone) and asked if my wife is having a baby in 2 days on August 6th (Aug. 6 was the exact due date). My wife already had the baby, but it was still really weird because we didn't know how she got that information.

My question is this: can an RN look up medical history for anyone they want to, or just medical history from a person at a certain hospital, or what? If so, and if she did that, this is a serious violation, and I want to report her for doing it.

  • Does anyone simultaneously believe in ghosts and evolution?

I think it's impossible to validly argue for both at the same time.

I'm talking about evolution from the universe's 'Big Bang' to the point we are at right now. If the universe was created from nothingness, stars were born, the Earth was formed, life popped out of nowhere, 1-celled organisms mutated into complex beings, and humans eventually became what they are today, where do ghosts fit into the equation?

Evolution is based upon, what evolutionists call, 'hard facts', but how could these hard facts explain the origin, creation, and existence of beings without physical bodies?

  • What is the safest free place to keep my stock?

  • What's the best way to get my yard looking great?

I just moved into a 2-year-old house in a subdivision where most houses are 2 years old or newer. We have the absolute worst yard in the subdivision. It has crab grass patches, areas where johnsonsgrass is trying to grow but failing, thin ugly weeds that I've never seen before, all kinds of problems.

Any tips on what products to use? It's the middle of the summer, and we're close to Houston, which means it's hot and humid and rains a lot.

    Thanks!
