  • Do you have a praise band at your church?

If you do, where is it located during your services? Is it in front on the "altar" area or is it to the side or in the back? Does your praise team "lead" the worship by introducing songs and Bible readings or are they mainly responsible for music?

I'm really interested as our praise team is in a bit of a transition state and we are considering a lot of different avenues. I'm interested to know what other churches are doing. I don't care what denomination you are, I am just interested in your processes. (If you are interested, we are Lutheran.)

    Thanks!

  • How is it that people can rate tv shows on Yahoo TV when the episode hasn't aired yet?

I check my local tv listings...then want to check if the episode is new. So, when I get to the synopsis screen, it says the original air date is today (1/5/07) and people have already rated it! How do you rate it when you haven't seen it yet? Is it just people who like the show rating "tumbs up" because it is a show they like, or do they see it before the rest of us? I like several shows very much, but there are still episodes I don't like! Sheesh! I don't think it has any value if they haven't seen the episode yet!!!!

  • What do little lizards eat?

My son caught a little lizard the other day at my mom's house. She let him keep it as a pet, but we are going to need to feed it. He found a few flies and the lizard liked them....but is that what they really eat? Anyway, I think it might be a chameleon because two days ago it was green, and now it is brown. Or, is it some other kind of lizard, and it is sick. (We live in central Arkansas!)

  • Is it wrong of me to steal my neighbor's kitten?

She is really a sweet kitten. When I get out of my car, she is always there to greet me and she wants some attention. We can't have a cat inside because I have some allergies to cats. (When I pet her I have to go right inside and wash my hands, etc.) Anyway, the neighbors have some kids and they like that the kitten will let the kids carry her around like a baby. So they decided to keep her as an outside cat...they put a collar on her, but they don't feed her cat food or anything....they just let her fend for herself. My child came inside today and asked if we could give her a can of tuna because the kids next door said they didn't have anything to feed her. We have given her some scraps, and she acts like she can't get enough!

Anyway, our vet (we have two dogs) has a kitten adoption program. The neighbors wouldn't know it was their kitten and would never adopt one they had to pay for....should I steal her and take her to our vet who will find her a loving home? I am tempted!

  • Do the questions people ask on here ever scare you?

I mean really....I think some people have no sense of modesty. And, some questions are just a way to get people to tell them what they want to hear...and some are way overboard! It is a lot of fun to join in around here....I could get really addicted, but sometimes....I am afraid! Run! Don't answer that question!!!! Don't ask it!!! I'm embarassed for you!

Anyone else ever have that feeling?

  • What is your favorite finger food?

We're going to a party where we need to bring "finger food." So far people are bringing barbeque hotdogs, chips and salsa, tuna on toast, and veggies and dip. I was thinking maybe bruschetta? What do you think? And, if it is something that has a recipe, what is the recipe?

  • What does my dream mean?

For the last few nights I keep dreaming about doors being locked...when I try to go around them to get where I am going, I go through the "back way" to where I am supposed to be. I mean, man, I have dreampt that I was in the passage ways crawling over water pipes and under hay bales! In the end I do get where I am going, but it can take a long time! I was even at Disney World in my dream crawling over pipes to get out of the park at night!

  • What do the yellow speed limit signs on the road near curves or intersections mean?

Are they actual speed limits or are they just safety guidelines. If they are actual speed limits do they go into effect at the curve or intersection or do they go to effect at the sign? After the curve does the original speed limit go back into force? Can you be ticketed for speeding around a curve at higher than the posted yellow sign? Just wondering....

  • When do pecan trees drop their nuts in Central Arkansas?

We have a large pecan tree in our backyard that is at least 150 years old. It dropped nuts once before, but this is the first year the co nditions have been right for fruit to form. I am anxiously awaiting the tree to drop the nuts and I want to be sure I am ready to go pick them up before the animals hoard them!
