  • Do I need BGP to route a multiplexed dual T1 connection and a cable modem connection from another provider?

I have to setup a dual multiplexed T1 with an incoming cable data line and route them so local user traffic goes out the cable line, but incoming traffic uses the Dual T's. I'm assuming that BGP is not possible because the cable company does not allow it. So I need to route everything for our end statically. What is the best way to do this? Is there a hardware recommendation that you can make that would support heavy business use and support the configuration? I've looked at the XINCOM XC-DPG50, but that seems to be for home and small business use. I need something more robust. I considered having an ethernet wic and two T1 wics coming into a Cisco router/firewall, but I am concerned about how I would address the routing. I'm assuming I will have a cable modem between the cable drop and the Cisco router. I just have no idea how any of this would handle the routing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  • Cisco extended ACL question. How to I limit access to only one host?

I have a class C. Let's call it 192.168.1.0/24. It a live range, the non-routable range is just for example purposes.

The range is broken down into 4 subnets. 192.168.1.1/26, 192.168.1.65/26, 192.168.1.129/26, & 192.168.1.193/26. The FastEthernet port is 192.168.1.254. I have a route allowing anything going from 192.168.1.0/24 through the firewall behind the router at 192.168.1.253. I need to limit the access of one single host that is on the DMZ. It is 192.168.1.252. I tried making an extended ACL, but it interferes with the traffic for the rest of the LAN. What am I doing wrong?

    access-list 110 permit tcp any host 192.168.1.252 eq 80

    access-list 110 permit tcp any host 192.168.1.252 eq 443

    access-list 110 permit tcp any host 192.168.1.252 eq 3389

    access-list 110 permit tcp any host 192.168.1.252 eq 3306

    access-list 110 permit ip any 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255

    access-list 110 deny ip any host 192.168.1.252

    access-list 120 permit tcp host 192.168.1.252 any eq 25

access-list 120 permit tcp host 192.168.1.252 any eq ftp

    access-list 120 permit tcp host 192.168.1.252 any eq 3306

  • If I use the tern 'weight loss', how many URLs with miracle cures will I get? ?

  • Why is it that there are no legitimate ways to make extra money online?

There are so many scams out there, I guarantee that someone even posts a list of URLs with get rich quick scams as an answer to this question. Why is it so hard to make a living now? Even with real skills there is no real payoff. It all goes to living expenses. How are you supposed to save when food has doubled in price and energy is so expensive? How do you tell your retired parents who are now practically penniless that you can't help them because your utilities are getting cut off too? How can you work a second job when your first one makes you work 10 hours a day without overtime?

And who are all these people driving Hummers, living large? What do they do for a living that they have it so well? Do you think that most of them are living beyond their means or maybe doing unethical things to make their money?

  • What is the best cell phone for me on the AT&T network?

What are people's experiences? I had a Treo 650 which was OK, but it was bulky, slow on the edge network and there were some little quirks with Palm applications. I now have a Treo 750. It's cool but Windows Mobile is not entirely stable. I have to reboot frequently. The web browser is just OK, not everything works, but enough does to make it workable. It's a lousy phone though. The call quality is adequate, but half the time it doesn't ring or I answer and it just hangs up. Is there anything out there that truly rocks? Don't just say iPhone without any data to back it up. I'm not sure an iPhone would suit my needs.

    My needs are:

    1) Good phone quality

    2) reliable email and web browsing plus some PDA capabilities.

    3) the ability to use a blue tooth headset and play music through it.

    4) the ability to play mp3s and stream radio

    5) Not having to reboot the phone on a regular basis because some features simply stop working.

    6) a camera

    7) The ability to use the phone as a modem for my laptop.

  • Do women need more sleep than men?

In informal data gathering, I noticed that the female population is more like to feel sleep deprived or look forward to sleeping than the male population. Taking out variables like children, work, and chores, do women have a biological need for more sleep than their male counterparts?

  • Do you stop and go or hold it in?

Don't you hate this? You're ready to go to work or school, all your stuff is together, you're on your way out the door, when *BAM* you are struck with the need to go number 2. You're running tight on time. Do you go to the bathroom and risk being late? Or do you hold it in and wait until you get to work or school and use the bathroom there?

If you have to be either sleep deprived or go hungry which would you chose? Would you starve to get some Zs or would you rather down the coffee and eat up?

  • What is the difference between seed you use for hydroponic plants and regular plants that grow in dirt?

I got this "Space Aged" Tomato and Green pepper kit. I had to sprout the plants in a sponge like medium then plant them in a pot full of inert matter like sand. I ended up using potting soil instead. Will this hurt them? They seem to be growing OK. Should I cut back the amount of fertilizer I give it now or just keep up like the directions say? Also I had sprouted two tomato plants that got the roots got stuck together, is it OK for them to grow together in the same pot now?

  • Why do you think people have always believed in some kind of superhero?

Why do humans seem to have this embedded in their collective unconscious. Is it because something that happened in past? Is it a connection that all people share with the universe that we have a vision of our future potential. Is is a deep seeded need to be saved as a species?

Or is it something entirely different?

  • Wireless/radius server question - I have 5 WAPs and users can only authenticate to one or two...?

I have 5 Netgear WG102 WAPs. They are spread throughout the office, so people can connect their laptops around the office using their domain logins to authenticate. They use WPA Enterprise with a radius server. There's also a guest ssid that users can connect to using WPA personal, with a key. This also shares the same problem. Users can connect to one or two of the WAPs, but when they try a third, it won't give out an IP or authenticate them. It's not the same 1 or 2 that they can connect to either. For example: User A can connect to access point 1 and 2, but User B can connect to access point 4 and 5. However, User A cannot connect to access points 3,4 nor 5, and User B cannot access 1,2, or 3.

I have plenty of IP space on the dhcp server, so I am uncertain why I am unable to get this to work. Is there some kind of MAC filtering involved in radius that I need to know about that's preventing users from connecting the same machine to the same LAN more that two times?

  • What do you actually get for being a top contributor on Y!A? What do you get for obtaining a high level?

What is the motivation for people to answer IDK or some other useless answer here. What do they actually get for gaining point sin Y!A? Do they get paid somehow? Because I don't get it. Why bother going for Y!A points if there is no payoff? Yahoo must be giving something out for having a lot of points, otherwise there wouldn't be so many dorks answering with idk and wasting people's time.

  • How can a small business stay in afloat in this economy? Competition has gotten brutal.?

I come up with new ideas to expand our services, advertise them and a competitor uses the idea themselves and uses their bigger budget to advertise to a wider audience. This have happened on several occasions. I offer a service that none of my competitors offer, days after I offer it, they take the idea and spam the local papers, and other advertising venues and use my company's ideas to make money. With the economy as it is now, I do not have the budget to advertise and rely mostly on web advertisement. For example, I'll post a service on Craigslist, someone will flag it and post the service as their own. The last time, four different people copied my posting then flagged me. I don't know how much more of this my business can withstand. And no, a micro-loan from the SBA is not an option, and grants no longer exist, even for vets and minorities.

    How can I survive this?

  • Why do I get sick when I eat eggs and mango in the same day?

If I eat eggs and mango in the same meal I simply do not digest my food. It just sits there until I puke. It does the same thing with eggs and pineapple or eggs and eggplant. And if I eat the eggs in the morning and the mango, pineapple or eggplant later in the day; instead of just puking I get explosive diarrhea.

What is the mechanism that is making this happen? What about eggs and these fruits is messing me up? I can eat each of things just fine by themselves. It's just the combination that kills me.

  • At the Virginia DMV, they give out tickets, like in a deli counter. What do the letters on the tickets mean?

They give you a ticket with a letter and number on it, like A676, B006, C209, etc. It goes all the way to E or F. What do the letter codes mean. How do they determine whether you get an 'A' or an 'E' for example? Is it determined by the number of transactions you need to do, or the type?
