Does Heaven Have a Sportsbook?
Does God plan to. . . ?
ask why atheists are on the R&S forum and create a rock so heavy in 2012 that he can't lift it????
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoSpiritually speaking, if you were to compare. . . ?
your religious, spiritual, agnostic, or atheist feelings to a Price is Right pricing game, which one would it be?
Mine is probably cliffhangers.
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs this the start of the rapture?
I read somewhere that when YA slows down, the horsemen were going to begin to arrive.
2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoSpiritually speaking, who can listen to this song without crying?

I mean, really. . .
16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoSpiritually speaking, what is the worst condemnation you ever received from someone at R&S?
Don't need to name names, but just curious as to the most bizarre statements you ever got, publicly or privately, from someone who didn't like what you had to say.
Care to tell your story?
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy are fundamentalists using that word to describe themselves?
when the root of the word fundamentalist is "fundament"
And this dictionary link tells us what a "fundament" is
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/fundame...
I'm glad I could help. Please share your thoughts. Isn't this an alarming development?
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs it just me, or is there a sudden injection of fundie "morals" at R&S?
Ok - first off, I made a poor call. I "retired" from here in haste. Acknowledged. Thank you. ;-)
But my question is this - where are the reasonable people. There just seems to be, in simply my first 15 minutes back on here, a real uptick in people shooting down logic, reason, and true personal spiritual sense. To be blunt, it's like a busload of fundamentalists pulled up while I was away. Can someone tell me what happened here?
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat are the "special" rights for gays some religious people are worried about?
So, in a recent question, there was a complaint that stems from what we know about the religious-based battle against gay marriage and civil rights for gays.
So, a few posters in recent questions have cited gays seeking "special rights", but failed to tell us just what constitutes "special rights"
I'd sure love to know what they are. So. . . what are they?
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoSo, for christians, who among you believes Harry Potter ought to be banned or restricted?
I ask this because, if that's so, then you also need to write Nick at Night and get Bewitched banned, also. Your thoughts?
29 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoChristians - Are you aware of why they call it the 700 Club?
You know, Pat Robertson's tv show.
I'm not going to give you the answer yet, but know that even as a christian, I find it disturbing.
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoSpiritually speaking, have you ever drove downtown in the rain, 9:30 on a tuesday night?
just to check out the late-night record shop?
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat gifts should we give R&S people this holiday?
I've already been offered a shamwow and a device that, to be polite, can be described as a plastic stick with batteries.
What would you like to give someone here on R&S you know?
(this should be good)
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat led you to atheism?
Some got there because of dissatisfaction wih religion. I know others got there because they felt there was no viable explanation or sufficient evidence to support the existence of any god.
Sadly, some won't tell me anything more than a rant because they are afraid the thin philosophical ice they already skate on would break.
However, this friendly liberal Christian who tries to avoid needless fights is really interested in knowing how folks arrived at their decisions, feelings, beliefs, holdings, etc. . .
:-)
38 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoCould you name me some good progressive-minded christian denominations, churches, etc. . . ?
I actually am considering going to christmas/christmas eve services.
I won't put up with fundies. . . .
Your thoughts?
(this oughta be good)
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhich biblical figure is most responsible for botching Christ's teachings?
I think it's Paul. I also think the writers of Revelation may not have helped matters.
Your thoughts?
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWould you like to know the acronyms of R&S but were blocked from viewing them?
I respectfully ask this not be deleted. If you don't like what I am doing, my email is open to you to write to me.
Sadly, some of us were forbidden from viewing this information which was updated a few hours ago by a person who did not like my asking questions of them about their group's behavior in an open setting. I fear others may have been affected by this, so I post this here for your benefit. While I disagree with the actions of this individual, I think that I must not be alone in what occured.
My question is this. If I have missed anything, would you like to add something?

10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoA serious question about mormons and the missions young adults go on. . . ?
Why is it that only young men are sent on missions (ex - those whom we see on bicycles) - what about the women?
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat's your best door-to-door religious visit moment?
I think my best were some mormon cyclist kids who offered to help me clean off some written numbers from a car I was trying to sell (after I was finished cleaning!)
What's yours?
