  • Is there actually any way to see the last three or four (unaired) episodes of ABC's recently cancelled series 'Time after Time'?

It *feels* like Hulu, Amazon and some other sites either don't have them available at all or show them as possible choices for viewing but then they either disappear from a list of selections or [YouTube] lead you to a (somewhat shady IMO) alternate site to sign up for a separate membership. One individual posted that they bought the first season series at Amazon Prime but that it only contained the episodes which were already broadcast before the show's cancellation. Then having to argue with a Customer Service representative in order to get reimbursed. I'm looking to try and not take any stupid chances here in a pursuit to view the end of the series.

  • Is there ever any reason good enough for one to feel sorry for yourself?

Yes this is *personal* Something that happened a little more than a month ago and I thought I would have myself a really good cry about it. But that hasn't happened (yet) and now I'm to the point of wondering if it's worth it or not. Given that I feel I possess the full range of human emotions, I've also thought that it's been a really long time too since I had cried. Knowing as well that it can be a cathartic thing. I'm just wondering if I should otherwise let it be.

  • Who are the ten men to win back to back MVP awards?

There were three outfielders. (not necessarily CF, RF and LF) All the others played the remaining positions on the diamond, including pitcher and one who was considered to be a DH/1B.

  • Did Russell Martin indirectly ...?

prove that the strike zone should STILL be up as high as the letters last night? He hit a pitch that was about shoulder high for an RBI single. Something that the announcers of the game thought was so astounding in itself that it ought to make umpires think that batters do legitimately have a chance at the high strike and thus it ought to be enforced as the baseball rule book intends.

  • Don Denkinger, Rich Garcia, Eric Gregg, Phil Cuzzi, Sam Holbrook or Jeff Nelson?

So in terms of postseason games that had controversial umpiring calls who've you got as having done the worst while wearing blue?

Rank them if you want to but have at least one clear choice.

Refreshers as follows: Denkinger called KC runner safe at first in 1985 Cards-Royals Game 6 ninth inning. Royals rally from 1-0 deficit in the game to win 2-1 and tie the Series at 3 a piece. Then go on to win it in the 7th game.

Garcia says no fan interference as Jeffrey Maier pulls Derek Jeter's fly ball into the stands of the short porch of Yankee Stadium during the bottom of the eighth of the 1996 ALCS, Game 1. NY beats Baltimore in 5 games.

Gregg has a strike zone the size of Rhode Island and Livan Hernandez makes great use of it in the 5th game of the 1997 NLCS as he K's 15 Braves in route to a win. Marlins take the NL crown in the 6th contest.

Cuzzi as the left field line ump never claims he lost it in the lights as he calls Joe Mauer's line drive foul in spite of it obviously landing fair in the top of the 11th of 2009's ALDS. In spite of loading the bases then, Twins don't score and Yanks win in the bottom of the frame on a walk off HR.

Holbrook has as much chance of catching the ball as either Kozma or Holliday but signals the infield fly rule in this year's NL Wild Card game. Should the left field line ump be the one making that call ever, or at all? Braves can't come back to beat the Cards.

Nelson believes he sees the phantom tag of Robinson Cano on Omar Infante as the latter tries to get back to 2nd base. Infante was tagged, was out, but called safe and the Tigers go on to add 2 runs in the 8th inning of this year's ALCS game 2. Tigers win the game and eventually move on the the 2012 World Series.

  • So exactly what was it that Nationals fans were cheering about in the ninth inning?

Very presumptuous on their part to cheer when Storren got to two strikes on Molina and Freese. Without strike three (or a flyout or groundout) it didn't matter very much at all. Here's some suggestions: Cheer for a RESULT. Cheer after the fact. Cheer when something ACTUALLY HAPPENS. Otherwise you just look foolish. Said another way "Don't count your chickens before they've hatched."

  • How do I just hate him now?

Ichiro is a D*mn Yankee now and it ought to just be automatic to despise him as much as every other member of that team. But it's almost as though it's through no fault of his own.

  • Was the Wild Card invented because...?

in 1993 the San Francisco Giants finished the season with a 103 - 59 record and finished second in the NL West division by one game to the Atlanta Braves. Somehow I felt that the Baseball powers that be looked at the Giants and said that any team *that* good ought to be included in the postseason somehow. Let's have a wildcard team.

Or was it all about realignment and increasing revenue by having more division winners too?

  • Is it better to be the owner of a lonely heart or the owner of a broken heart?

The band called Yes sang a song in the 80's that included these lyrics and I'm wondering if what they put forth is true or not. I guess I'd need details to convince me and not just merely have this turn into a poll where more people just respond with either, 'Yes it is' or 'No it is not'

  • What constitutes hard-nosed play?

This is one of those things that could be answered as individually as seems possible. Tonight a Cleveland rookie tried to run over KC's catcher and bowled him over in the process (he was still out at the plate) The less than knowledgeable fans at the game have been riding the kid for the rest of the game, despite it being the only sort of thing that he should have done in the situation. So what does hard nosed play mean to you? Does it include brushback pitches or hustling down the line to first on a routine grounder? Or is it more commonly recognized as baserunning that includes contact that's not considered unnecessarily aggressive?

  • Anybody else ever see "umpires" in the stands?

At tonight's Totonto - Cleveland game there were two fans behind home plate in umpire's uniforms. Only one of the guys had the cap on though. Both of them were as animated as could be, pretending to make calls and harassing the home plate ump too. They were clearly Blue Jay fans. It was entertaining and I wonder if anybody else had ever seen this before.

  • When were photographers "removed" from the field?

On MLB network I am watching a game from June 1976 between NY Yankees and Detroit Tigers and noticed that in foul ground there were a couple of photographers on the playing field. Now old Tiger stadium had a lot of foul territory but it shouldn't have been considered safe for these people to be there. I'm wondering when did the practice stop allowing them to go there while the game was being played?

  • Poll: Which song is better? Mostly your opinion?

    Maneater by Hall and Oates

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ap-OO0xqTe4

    or

    Womanizer by Britney Spears

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5N82HiijXlI&feature...

They're diametrically opposed in terms of being about bad behavior by the opposite sex. Which would you say you like. Maybe one makes the point better. Maybe you like Hall and Oates dancing more or the instrumentation that Britney uses. Whatever you think, just make your case. One more thing, this Poll will have results when it finishes

  • How can I do any and everything I've ever wanted for FREE on my computer?

Yes this is the latest in the never ending series of miserable questions of this kind that show up here. And No I'm not expecting any kind of answers that make sense. So practically anything you'd want to say will get thumbs up from me. Within reason that is.
