Hello,

I am in a bit of a pickle and need some opinions and advice. I am 22 years old, I have a steady job which pays around 50k a year. I have money put away that would be a down payment (which is also all my savings).

Here is the issue: I may be leaving Seattle in 2 years to go to law school. I am taking my LSAT this June, and will be sending applications next year for admissions for Fall 2016 quarter. I am going to apply to schools outside of my area. Only one school in my area, UW Seattle, will be on my list. All others will be out of state.

So my decision lies in whether I should invest my money, buy a condo and have tenants or attempt to sell it before I go back to school OR continue renting and not stress. What should I do?

I have so many differing opinions from friends and family that I felt I'd like to get some unbiased opinions on the matter. Anything helps! Thank you!

I found the Buckingham jacket at the boutique and it cost $1495 or so, and then I found the Buckingham online on the Nordstrom website for something around $700. What gives? What's the difference? Am I missing something?

I am waiting for my clarisonic in the mail right now and was just doing some research on what's the best thing to use.

I have some black heads, some really small blemishes, kind of oily t-zone and normal cheeks..

What should I use with it? I heard people use Cetaphil but I feel like when I just wash my face with it regularly, it makes my skin dry and then my skin overcompensates for the dryness with a lot more oil later on. I'm also hoping not to break the bank with the cleanser if possible

Whenever we go out dancing with my girlfriends, I'm always dying of heat, and I get really gross and hot, while they manage to keep their hair perfectly dry. I feel like there might be something wrong because I get hotter than they do by quite a bit.. Like my back and face and chest perspire a lot compared to my friends. It's just really uncomfortable because I can't dance with guys cause I feel like it's gross that I'm so hot and I have to put my hair up after an hour of being at a club even if it's not that hot when we dance.

Is there something wrong? I'm pretty fit, and I eat right, good hygiene.. I can't think of anything that could cause it.

i recently broke up with my boyfriend of 2 years (about a week and a half ago), but it was a long time coming and though I'm upset at how things are turning out (he's quickly becoming a jerk), I don't want him back and honestly cannot list any compelling reasons why I loved him. I guess I'm just really over him and the relationship..BUT it does still bother me that he's being a jerk cause I'd like to stay friends since we were so close in the things that we shared about our families and insecurities..he was like a best friend for those 2 years..

but my question is this..I have my eye on someone, and please don't tell me that I'm a terrible person because our relationship has been fairly non-existent for several months in terms of love and passion (I'd say at least 6 months, but probably more..only passion was sex now and again)..so is it too soon to add the guy on facebook? He's a very interesting guy and I want to get to know him better but I dont want it to look like a rebound (I'd CERTAINLY give it a long time before becoming involved with him romantically at all) but I'm also pretty anxious to get to know him..

so..add or wait a while longer?

My boyfriend and I just broke up after 2 years together..about a week and a half ago..but I think it was a really long time coming and it was painful when we broke up but since then I haven't been feeling as terrible as I thought it would be at all. I mean, yes I cried a couple times, but it wasn't anything that tore me apart. We had a lot of drama and fights and mistrust towards me (that was completely unjustified by anything I have ever done) so we mutually decided to part. We also decided to stay friends and still go to class together (we drive to the University together so we pay less for parking). But since we broke up, my ex has taken down all our pictures, as well as writing some passive aggressive things on his facebook page (he liked a page that said "oh cool you're dating my ex. I'm eating a sandwich, would you like those leftovers as well?") and things of that sort, yet he still talks to me like we're friends (like he asked me how my weekend was).

He's acting like a total jerk online, being very public about being single again, and going out, which I have not done yet..then talks to me like it's okay and I'm not affected by it at all.

I feel like I have moved on from him a long time ago. I don't think we had much of a relationship for the past 6 months, if not more than that..so it's not as heartbreaking as I thought it would be.

so my question is, when can I start talking to other guys? I mean, I don't want my ex to go and bad mouth me to everyone since we have a lot of mutual friends (although most have sided with me cause they see how immature he is online..), but on the other hand, he's a big jerk and I don't want to have much to do with him right now..

what should I do? I'm just confused on how I should act..I don't want to stoop down to his level, because what he's done is pretty low, but on the other hand, I feel like it's because he's hurt, and I want to be friends in the future..

so..help? any ideas, advice, comments? please?

I've been having mixed thoughts on my boyfriend of almost 2 years. I'm 19, gonna graduate college with bachelors degree next year.. and i love my boyfriend.. i do.

but i'm forced to give up certain things to be with him. a) i will never be able to go out dancing with my girlfriends because he doesn't trust other guys around me. he's afraid that they will all hit on me and not leave me alone. b) my life long passion of dancing is out the window. i've been dancing ballroom since i was 6 years old and he won't dance with me even like socially nor will he let me have a dance partner claiming that "i'm not stopping you. i don't like it. and it may be very dangerous for your dance partner." he thinks that it's gay and that all men that dance are gay and that if he were to dance with me, he'd do that, but we wouldn't be able to tell anyone out of our friends or family, meaning keep it an absolute secret.

and he's stopped doing those sweet things for me. we've had fights about him not bringing me flowers any more. i feel like a total b**ch for being on his case about it but it bothers me that before he used to bring me flowers every week and now it's like twice a year at best. he didn't take me out for our year and a half or valentine's day, even though he promised. oh and no flowers on valentine's day either.

he's a good guy though. he has a good future like me. we both go to the same university for business administration bachelor degree, will both graduate probably after spring quarter next year..families love us both, we love each others' families. we've been together for almost two years (June 5th), and I just dunno how it would be if we broke up. I don't even like anyone else around..no one has ever caught my attention since we've been together.

is it okay to give up a few very important things to be with someone? or have I changed myself too far for him and need to stand up for myself?

I really don't want to end things with him because I really do love him. I'm just worried I've lost myself for him or have signed a contract for the rest of my life to be a stay at home wife, not being able to go out with friends ever..

Okay so here's my problem

My hair pulls a really really yellow color when I bleach it. Like to the point where toning it doesn't really work cause it stays so yellow. I can't get past that bright yellow, like a little chick color.

I honestly can't bleach it any more.. I think my hair will fall off if I bleach it any more.. :(

so if I dye it with a box color (or I have access to sally's so if you can suggest a particular product from there that works too) or should I just throw in the towel and dye it back to dark??

I'm just at a loss for what to do with it. I'm afraid to regret dying it dark a while from now..but I'm tired of being this ugly nasty color for the past 2 months :(

here's a couple pictures of what I have right now. These were taken like 3 days ago..and my hair is already more yellow than that. Any toning fades like crazy and purple shampoo doesn't help much at all.

HELP!

well I'm at a loss. this is the second time i've tried going blonde and each time I end up with disaster and ugly-ness. I guess I just need some advice on what color I should do instead or if there is any way that I could make my hair look nice again.

I can't bleach it any more either..my hair started to break off really bad on the ends after this last bleach session so that's out of the question also.

so what should I do?

don't tell me to go to a salon. I'm a college student working just 20 hours a week. trust me, i don't have the money to spend on a salon visit. and besides, i've had pros damage my hair and give me the ugliest colors before so i don't really trust them

I like my hair LIGHT, but i just HATE the yellow and I can't seem to get past the yellow to a lighter blonde..and toning doesn't work even if I use a violet/purple/blue based toner..it makes my hair either grey or green, but if I leave it on for less, it's too yellow. there isn't a happy medium for some reason.

well..any suggestions including extremes like "dye it black or red" are welcome..anything that you feel will look better..

I bleached my hair from light brown trying to go blonde and of course it turned yellow. I tried toner but I don't like the hue it gives it. Kind of green. Anyways I need to fix it. I have access to sally's and what not. Bleach or high lift hair dye? What's better? What's more gentle? What will make me look like a normal human? Any advice is much appreciated

I've been dating my boyfriend for something around a year and 3 months..and it seems like the past few months have had zero romance..it's like he's changed. he used to bring me flowers all the time and be all touchy and kissy without it being "lets get it on".. i just feel like he doesn't love me the same any more..he's not passionate..we see each other just about daily.. i'm really close to his family..i dunno i just feel like he doesn't care the same way any more..like he's just used to me..

he used to just about court me.. dinner, surprises (even small stuff like he got me a pair of hilarious socks once..little things like that).. it's not that i want him to spend money on me, i want him to give me that attention he used to give me..

is there a way to get that back? or why is this happening in the first place?

i really don't want to loose him but i'm not feeling like he cares like he used to.

We have a bull terrier puppy and his rear paws are different in size..the right one is smaller than the left one. Is this an issue?

I am currently finishing up my business management associates..I'll be done after fall quarter. I took a business law class and I loved the subject! I've heard that when you get a bachelors degree in business, you can later attend law school instead of for example getting an MBA. Is that right? Or do you go to law school right after you finish business associates degree??

It seems like I have a weird wheel lock cause it's not what most places are selling.. It has 14 splines, they're pointed, and the splines are on the inside, not the outside..

so where can I get a new key for it?? I've searched everywhere and I can't really find anything that looks like it..and I don't want to pay a ton of money and go to the dealership..I've heard that they charge something like 15 bucks per wheel to take them off, and then you have to buy a whole new set of the wheel locks..so I don't really want to do that..

also I do know that you can remove them by pretty much breaking them off, I don't wanna do that, I want to keep the locks, I just need the new key

I'm in college, 18, got it done last summer so it's been almost a year now..I got it done just cause I wanted to for years..had nothing to do with giving blow jobs..seriously..

So now a year has passed and I've sort of looked at how people react and I really don't like how people think of me now.. I asked my boyfriend's best friend what he thinks about a girl when he sees that she has her tongue pierced and he said "I think that I don't wanna be in a relationship, I just wanna do her and move on" and then we watched a Chris Rock stand up and he said the same thing about it (nice coincidence huh?)

Plus I know my parents hate it, I never asked for permission to do it, I just did it while I was in Russia for a trip while I wasn't under any supervision..

I guess I just want to hear what you guys have to say about it..

I wasn't going to keep it in forever but I feel like I should take it out because of the wrong impression that it gives some people...

I'm 18, female, weigh roughly 150, and I do about 20 minutes of high intensity workouts that are on average 30 seconds of high intensity working out, then 10 seconds of rest..

also, the kind of work out i'm doing is more of like high intensity exercises rather than running or cycling..

I found a 2002 mini cooper for sale with a broken transmission..problem is it's an auto..I'm a sporty girl and I love my manual cars..so I was wondering just how much it would be to swap it..how much work would have to be done and how much you think it'd cost on average..just a guess please..i'd have to buy a transmission and it seems like they cost about the same, manual or auto..

my question is about the actual swap..how much you think they'd charge for it..about..guess please..

I've been dancing since I was a kid on and off. My last dance partner failed because he stopped showing up to class and would blow me off for no reason what so ever.

So my boyfriend of 10 months now (really steady relationship...no turbulance..) said that he would be my dance partner if I want to do that.

He doesn't have any official dance experience but I think he'd learn really quickly.

this is ballroom btw..

so should I go for it and try it out? I just don't want to end up either ruining our relationship or us breaking up and me once again losing my dance partner..

what do you think?

he has one condition though, that we keep it pretty much secret, which I don't think is right because I'm proud to be a dancer and as soon as we go to a competition, both my dad and mom (remarried) will take a lot of pictures (both families have a tendency to have crazy nice cameras) and I will post the pictures all over my myspace and facebook so I don't see how that can be helped.

We decided that I will teach him some basics and then we can go to a couple of these social dances when they give a huge group a 30 minute lesson on a dance and then you spend about 2 hours dancing that dance..just to see if he likes it..

but if he decides he does like it, should we go through with it?
