Greetings, many of my friends call me Lance, and I am here to encourage and bring more information on higher education. I'll do my best, and make my efforts to answer any questions that relate to admission, and university tips. A better chance to receive an answer from me is by recognizing to or thinking about going to college in California :) Experience: Currently attending at Cal State University of Fullerton for Civil Engineering. Have questions about the CSUF go ahead and ask :)
Need new romance/comedy/action shows!?
Hello, I am looking for new shows for me to watch. I am a new to this genre/category of romance, action, and comedy. The only shows I have watch are zero no tsukaima (all seasons), and Shakugan no Shana (all seasons). After watching both of these I believe I know what I want to continue watching. I’ll narrow my search:
My specifics and examples:
Action: The main character is living and chilling in his/her normal life until they are strangely dragged into a new world. In this new world, they learn new skills/techniques to fight for what is right. Spell fighting, or any weapon wielding, I dislike mechs (or whatever those mechanical machines are called that do all the fighting). Both shows mention above did this.
Romance: Like mention, the main characters are pulled from their world and they meet a female character in a new world/location, they don’t like each other at first but they stick together because of a mission and progress their relationship until they finally express their true feelings. At the same time they struggle because of jealousy of other females/males interfering their relationship.
Comedy: Zero no tsukaima did more of this; it has funny moments here and there in each episode. The main character gets punished for being a pervert (not his fault?), or walking in the wrong moment only to see a naked girl.
Era: Any time or setting is fine in any show; as for the anime show itself, perhaps something new that has some good animation. So no stick figures!
I did my best doing some outside search too, but I hope an expert can help me out here. Show me your list or recommend shows, also describe why you like it, or provide a quick introduction about the show.
Thank you for your time!

3 AnswersEngineering9 years agoIdeas on Drinks for New Year's?
So I finally turned 21 a few days ago and I gave it some thought about what kinds of drinks I should have. I was thinking of having wine or perhaps a good start with mixed drinks. Majorly I like mixing soda with Malibu, but i'm open to some good ideas on brands. Even better provide basic recipes on mixing some sweet and flavorful drinks that will keep me awake. Thanks

2 AnswersBeer, Wine & Spirits9 years agoManners/Etiquette 101 requirements for a job?
I will be going through an interview next week, however I am not quite confident on how I should address the people interviewing me. So my question is, how do I properly address someone with a title, such as supervisor or manager, and at the same time gain respect? I have always been taught to use "sir" or "ma'am", yet it may bring a controversy. Calling one "sir" or "ma'am" may offend the person because of his or her age. I'm confused! Help! Any helpful websites are appreciated!
Thanks.

6 AnswersEtiquette10 years agoWhy is reading important?
March is approaching, and I've volunteered to do morning announcements for my high school. Yet I also want everyone to know about the "Read Across America" event during the month. So I came up with an idea on asking people, in their own words this simple question, as stated, Why is reading important to you?
It would also be great if you left your name, or age.
I will be reading some of your answers (as quotes) for the March announcements. So feel free to respond. :)
13 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoInfected finger......?
I recently found out about my middle finger having a slight purple bump on the side. Near the nail there is this white skin, and yea I did pop it not knowing what it was. I think is pus, and it is white, not clear. So is this a sign of a infection? Right now I'm currently boiling water with salt to clean it up with, but don't know what to do, and since some of my doctors aren't available tomorrow and sunday (weekend), what should I do to treat it. Don't have any of that ointment stuff to put after I wash it, and should I bandage it to cover it up?
thanks in advance.
3 AnswersSkin Conditions1 decade agoLittle help with Paul Dirac's quote?
Hello, I've read biographies of Paul A. Dirac, and I'm curious to know what does the following quote mean, or at least a message to say. Of course there's an explanation about it mathematically. But I am really wondering what are your thoughts or views about it mentally?
"Pick a flower on Earth and you move the farthest star." -Paul Dirac
What I think it is about how a small force on earth can really impact a force outside of this planet toward a star. Perhaps how human nature can be strong? I may be wrong, please post some of your views.
Thank you. >.>
2 AnswersQuotations1 decade agoCal State Question...?
Well, I should say questions...
I'm currently a senior, with a g.p.a of 3.3 - 3.4, active in extra curricular activities, clubs, and volunteering.
I meet the A-G requirements, but I terribly slipped on the new SAT test (1250). Will the SAT really change my chances in getting accepted to any Cal State. I heard they ignore the scores, or add them to the specific g.p.a and do some crazy stuff?
I'm also bit confused about how the Cal State eligibility works, for example '3.0 and above qualifies for any score' meaning they will accept my score now, and reject me later? or is it really depending on my transcript? >.>
Thanks in advanced.
3 AnswersHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoCal State Poly Pomona or San Luis Obispo?
I'm very interested in Civil Engineering, and now that the month has finally arrive I get to apply to some Cal States. As a curious senior, I'm wondering what's the difference between the Cal State Pomona and San Luis Obispo? I heard they have the best engineering programs, and are in different locations. I've been researching around, and some people say Cal State SLO has a better program for Architecture, on the other hand Cal State Poly has good engineering with some internships.
Any pro or cons between the two, and about the programs would be appreciated and thanks in advanced.
And yes, I'm considering to apply for both (plus other few Universities) and hopefully get accepted.
