3 AnswersCell Phones & Plans4 days agoChildhood cough WORSE than pandemic?
When I was only 12 I endured a cough that seemed to NOT go away, My mother took me to the family doctor and gave me cough suppresants. Since the cough was not going away my mother tried multiple medicines from many pharmacies. The cough began to be a part of my life, I even tried to learn to live with it. I had no support from ANYONE, not a parent, not a doctor, not a pharmacist, not a teacher, NOBODY! I was scolded and harassed in school by the teachers because of my cough, even through at that time I really wanted to be able to control it and SLEEP at night! I was even kicked out of the classroom multiple times as punishment because of my cough. I endured months of constant cough that was about every minute, even at night I couldn't sleep for more than 2-3 hours and I had multiple awakeanings. I also bothered my family because of my nighttime coughs. At that age I began to lose any hope that I would ever find relief so that I can sleep at night.
It was a pharmacist who thought maybe my cough is actually caused by excess mucus that FINALLY gave me a mucolytic that CURED me in just 4 days! I felt intense joy because after living with a constant cough for about 5 months I finally got the BEST gift ever, the gift of quiet! Even if you are or were infected with COVID, trust me, it's way better to have flu symptoms for a week or two than to live with a cough!
Respiratory Diseases6 days agoShift work problems?
Maybe night shift workers can offer me some advices. I will soon regain my job as a product laberer, second shift, Mon-Fri from 2:30pm to 9:30pm. I usually get home at 10pm then at 11:30pm I go to bed. But although I appreciate the fact that I don't work during the night, second shift has some challanges for me. First my mother is annoying and wakes me up at 6am sometimes when she finds something on Facebook that she wants translated. On the days when she lets me I usually get up at 8am. In the weekends I'm off and I go to bed at 9pm then get up at 5:30-6am. There were evenings when I would get very sleepy at work at around 8pm, especially on the days when my mother would wake me up for little reasons. There was even a time when I felt I would almost fall asleep on my way home in the transportation bus (a special bus for me and my workmates). With my eating habits I am well, I eat a large breakfast, then a snack at 1pm before going to work if I need, I eat at 4pm at work then at 10pm a light meal before bed.
What advices do you have for me so that second shift can be easier for me? Thank you!

4 AnswersFamily1 month agoEU roaming problem?
Hey there, Europeans! As soon as the pandemic starts to be over and things start going to normal I'll have my first trip ever abroad! I have heard of "Roam like at home" and want to take advantage of it but the problem is I have a very low 6 euros phone contract, with 15GB at home and almost 2GB abroad monthly in the EU. Not sure if this low amount of data will be enough for a week or two vacation in another EU country.

1 AnswerOther - General Health Care2 months agoPossible anxiety?
I'll never forget that evening last year on Oct when my workmates just wanted to help me. Me and the others believe I dozed off on my way home and when a workmate noticed I wasn't getting ready to get off the transportation bus she accidentally yelled my name out loud (from what she told me) then I became really scared.
My two workmates who were sitting in front of me immediately grabbed my shoulders (by working togheter) and waited a minute before letting me get off. What were they trying to do I keep wondering. Next day I apologized to everyone for scaring them.

I might travel by plane soon, it would be my first flight of my life but I am worried about my safety after reading stories on the Internet about passengers being locked asleep on planes. Is it really possible for this to happen?

It is said that even in deep sleep we can be awakened when someone calls our name. It took my mom more than 10 attemps to call my name to finally wake me up. How come sleeping persons can't hear anything and just ignore every person around? How come not even hearing our name wakes us up?
