I understand that the Army recently raised the enlistment age to 42 (I am 36) but does that age increase apply to the 11x option 40 contract as well? Is it an across-the-board adjustment, or will I need an age waiver? I can max-out the 17-21 PT test and I'm still in very good shape so I know I'm healthy enough to enlist. Just wondering if the Rangers were biased against the "older guys".

if you all truly care about the saving the environment (trees in particular) why don't you start by making it illegal to fill my phucking mailbox with 50lbs of useless paper??

i saw 2 dudes riding on a nighthawk 750 (or something like that) today and it just looked akward.

my granddaddy used to alway say to me "son, i don't EVER want to see you riding on a bike with another man. and if i do... one of y'all better be holding a gas can".

so anyone on here ride tandem? or even think it's completely normal? and i'm not talking about riding with your 9 year old son/nephew/whatever...

I've been playing baseball since I was born basically. I just joined a coed softball team and have absolutely no idea how to go yard or even hit the gap. Hell, I finally threw a softball for the 1st time in my life last week.

I'm using my regular baseball stance/swing in the box but all I do is pop up. Is there some special way to hit those meat balls? I'm too embarrassed to ask my teamates cause they asked me to be on the team as one of the "ringers".

in light of yesterday's events, and all the pundits talking about how it's still a mathematical impossibilty for hillary to win the pledged delegates, how could choosing her to be his vp running-mate be beneficial?

according to whatever poll you read, obama appeals to the independants and moderate republicans more than hillary. in fact, a lot of moderate republicans (and some indys) absolutely DISPISE hillary. true, it's still early in the game, but mccain isn't exactly feeling the love from the right at this point, and obama is an attractive alternative for some.

so my question is this - wouldn't obama risk losing the important indy/moderate vote if he was to choose the latest incarnation of satan (according to some repubs) as his vp? therefore shooting himself and his party in the foot?

i know of a lot of mods and indys that would vote for mccain in that scenario just because they are repulsed by hillary.

this is contingent upon him winning the nomination of course..

i know, he's the best 2 strike hitter, clutch, blah, blah, blah....

but why does he always hesitate at the plate and look like he just went yard on a single that should/could have been a double?

i'm not a sox fan (or even a yanks fan), but even though he's clearly a badass i'd be pissed at the lack of hustle.

do bo sox fans ever get annoyed? if it were varitek or maybe j.d. would they be vilified? i'm not a troll, this is actually a serious question and i was wondering what the locals had to say about it, or if they've even noticed it.

because the MAJORITY of those dudes are are about as moral and principled as a human can be.

my dad and i are both members of the patriot guard and about 95% of the members are harley riders, most of them veterans themselves. my dad is a 67 vietnam vet with a purple heart (shot in combat) and he rides a harley. i'm a 26 year old non-vet on a crotch rocket, but those guys still treat me like i'm one of them. they are some of the saltiest & toughest lookin' dudes you'll ever see on a bike, but they'd rather give you the shirt off their back than see you suffer.

i guess this is more for my sportbike brethren, but next time you pass an old/true HD rider give him a wave (even though he won't wave back) because he may have put his *** on the line back in the day so you could ride free.

what do you guys think? any haters that refuse to accept other riding cultures?

such a fuc#!ng badass?? i mean, the guy is like 100 years old and has some bizarre bone-eating disease, and yet he still rocks his balls off with some of the sickest licks and solos in the biz.

i know, i know.... he's not satriani, eric johnson, jeff beck, Eddie VH, blah... blah... blah.... but he's still pretty strong for a blues based guitarist playing 80's metal.

i've always wanted to know exactly what it is about a bike that does 170+ and 0-60 in about 3 seconds that makes it NOT a "real bike"... because it doesn't have chrome? because it's not made in america? is a ferarri not a real car cause it's made in italy?

all my friends that ride harleys always have some smart-a$$ comment about my gsxr, but when i ask them if they want to try it out they always look at me like i just asked them to jump the grand canyon on a vespa and just say "no way". i wonder why that is.....
