  • Golf world rankings, how many?

I see where each golfer has a world ranking. Also, the announcers on TV will say this guy is #X on the world rankings. How many golfers are on the list? Who is last on the list of rankings?

  • Custom ball fitting, is it worth the effort?

I have a coupon for a custom ball fitting at the PGA store. All it will cost is the gas to get there and the time I spend doing it. But, I am wondering if anyone has done this and did it help your game? I have only been golfing 4 years and still trying to get better.

  • Iron Distance ...... Learning how far?

What is the best way (besides going to the range) to figure out how far you hit each of your irons? I have been the range, but they keep moving the hitting area and not moving the distance poles so I don't get a good idea of how far I'm hitting.

  • A what if question in a case of illness?

You are a Pro golfer in the lead on Sunday morning. Your caddy calls and says they are sick and can't carry the bag for you. What do you do? Withdraw, ask a buddy, call another caddy from someone who missed the cut? What do you do?

  • Replace long irons with a hybrid?

I was having trouble getting out the ruff yesterday with my woods. I never use my 4 and 5 irons as I don't hit them well. If I wanted to get a hybrid which ones would I get and would they/it help me get out of the ruff?

  • Anyone own Cleveland VP Series Putter?

I am having a lot of 3 putts because the second one just burns the edge of the hole. I have done some research and the Cleveland 'will aid players by getting them into the correct address position time. Using Dual Axis Alignment technology, golfers are now able to determine when their hands move out of position as well as detect when their eyes are not directly over the ball'. If anyone has this putter, did it help with alignment and such? I think I need a shorter putter than I have now and I want and idea of what to look for when I hit go to the stores.

  • Why do some (not all) men not.........?

like to let women play through.

Yesterday, two freinds and I played 18 holes on a municipal course. One lady is 81 and walks the course. She doesn't hit very far, but she is fast. We were behind 4 men who kept looking back at us but never indicated we could play though. There was NO ONE on the next tee box, In fact, the only people in front of them were on the next green and they were women.

This is not the first time this has happened. We stood in the middle of the fairway and watched each one putt out on every hole. We were on the greens, putted out, and headed to our cart and pull cart about the same time they were leaving the tee box.

I did mention it to a Marshall, but he didn't seem too interested in saying anything to them. I am just wondering why they won't step aside. They would have so much more time to fiddle around if they would let other go through.

    Again, why?

  • What is your favorite shot when golfing?

Mine is when I am under a tree and I need a low shot to get out. Mine, I get my 9 wood, choke down with the ball in the middle of my stance and just do a sharp 'slap shot'. Ball stays low but goes a long way to get me out of trouble. I play in a league and nearly every lady who I play with will ask how to do it.

  • Ever had this happen to you?

A friend and I were playing on a public course today. We were on the tee box of the 18th hole, my ball wouldn't stay on the tee to I went to get another one. I didn't get in the cart, but when I got back on the box, there were a couple of guys in the fairway about 150 in front of me from the 17th hole. I have never seen anyone so rude to jump in front of you from another hole. The guy hit and then took his time, I yelled at him that I was gonna hit anyway if he didn't get out of the way. Never a marshall around when you need one. Vent over!

  • Best way to learn Paint Shop Pro 8?

I bought the software some time ago and thought I could learn it on my own. I don't have a clue where to start. Is there a good book with step by step instructions to create a image from scratch. I'm not interested in modifying/improving photos so much as a picture for a website.

  • Wanna buy a mulligan?

If you were in a tournament and had the opportunity to buy 1 or more mulligans would you do it? The money paid for the mulligans would go toward fund raising for a charity. Taking a small poll before I present the idea. Thanks

  • How is this possible?

I see posts here where young teens are scoring in the 70's and 80's. I play golf with a guy in his early 60's who can hit the ball 300 yds with a 3 wood and he scores in the 80's and 90's. He does get into trouble sometimes, but I don't think a teen's shot would have the same distance. What am I missing?

  • Where to tee up the ball?

I hit from the forward tees. Today, the course had the middle tees about 3' behind the forward ones on par 3s. The hole is too close to use my 3 wood and too far to use my 5. So, I back up behind the middle tee and use the 3 wood. This way I am adding additional yardage so I don't over hit the shot. Is this legal?

  • Controlling Mario in the water?

Does anyone besides me have trouble controlling Mario while he is in the water in SMG? It is so frustrating that I can't get him to go in the direction I want him to and it takes many attempts to get the star.

  • Which is better to have coins or star bits in SMG?

I know having 50 coins will earn another 1up, but I never collect that many before I capture the Gold stars. I have spent time shooting the little gold caps or flowers to get the coins to take back to the observatory. I am thinking I am wasting star bits. I see the coins accounted for when the 'score' is being calculated, but that's all. Am I wasting star bits? Thanks
