I've been in critical and emergency medicine for over 10 years now. I've assisted in the treatments of simple lacerations to cracking open a chest from a stab wound to the heart. My answers are merely suggestions based on schooling and experience and are no means considered a cure. However, with experience being my best instructor, my answers should work to your benefit. In the end, always consult a physician.

  • Is a child entitled to new Godparents when the original Godparents divorce, move away and no longer in contact.?

The Godparents of my best friend's daughter have since divorced and moved away. They are no longer in the state and just a distant memory. My friend's sister and myself are the Godparents of his son and remain close to the entire family. We are more than happy and willing to take on the new role and responsibilities, but would like some guidance to navigate through the proper channels.

    Thank you

  • Best camera for outdoor sports photography.?

My son is in cross country and track n field. Currently own Canon 40D and T3i, L series 70-200 f2.8, 50mm 1.4, and 28-135 f3.5-5.6. I have a $3000 budget for a new body and possibly lens. I've borrowed and shot with 70D and 7D and enjoyed both. I liked the 5D with the full frame sensor, but also want to maximize my investment for those high speed continuous shots as well as low light settings when shooting live stage performances when flash photography is not allowed.

    Thanks,

  • My son is 14 and works part time. Can I still claim him as a dependent?

I'm a divorced father and we live in Arizona. I claim him every year and my ex claims our daughter, thus I'm able to file as Head of Household. My son will make less then $3K by the end of the year. What is the best way to maximize my return. Is there something I should do for him?

    Thanks!!

  • RN Trauma Coordinator interview questions?

I've moved up the food chain and now a Clinical Coordinator for the Emergency Dept. We are in the process of hiring a Trauma Coordinator Program Manager. The hospital where I work is applying for a Level 4 trauma designation. The job description has just been accepted and waiting for the posting. I'm looking for a series of interview questions. I've come up with "Why do you want to become a trauma coordinator", "Tell us about your past experience that has prepared you for this position." "Infant / Pediatric trauma: How do you handle the family....How do you handle the staff?"

Now I have "writers block" I can't think of any other questions. Please help if you can.

    Thanks

  • How do I petition for a rescheduled mediation meeting?

A distraught friend missed her mediation meeting this morning due to misinformation from the clerk behind the counter. She was told the meeting was postponed, so she went home. She later received a text from her soon to be ex-husband saying she missed her meeting today and going to lose custody of her son. As a father of two, I can't imagine what she is going through, so I ask upon this community to see what can be done. BTW, she is an Arizona resident.

    Thank you

  • Is there a story in the bible that references borrowing inheritance money?

I have a family member who purchased my mother's house. Her and her husband didn't qualify for the full amount and left her short about $125K. Her response was, "I don't want any money when you pass away." She will also put friends before family. Although my mom has agreed to the terms, the situation has left me nauseated. I would like to know if there is a story in the bible that makes a similar reference.

  • Is cholesterol found in meat or the fat in meat?

Meats such as beef and pork are known to elevate ones cholesterol. Is cholesterol found in the meat portion or the fatty portion of the meat? How about game meat such as elk or buffalo. Butchers say they are very lean and often have to add fat to the ground meat or sausages they make. Are those meats also known to be high in cholesterol?

  • Low light photography and a Canon 50mm f1.4?

Will this lens do well in low light photography, more specifically live theater. Or should I save for the 1.2?

  • Nutcracker photography - Daughter has a lead role - No flash photography. What lens do I use?

Here is my current equipment: Canon 40D, Canon EF 28-135/3.5-5.6 IS USM, tripod. I'm deciding on a lens for my daughter's upcoming performance (She's 8yrs old). I've shot pics in the past using this lens and without a flash. They come out alright, some blurred, which get deleted, and others just fine. Stage lighting has been adequate. I've been shooting in manual mode for the past 2 years and my pics have improved greatly. I'm wanting to get a new lens. Keep in mind we plan on getting seats probably somewhere in the first 4 rows. Here are the top three lenses on my wishlist: Canon EF 28-300/3.5-5.6L IS USM (wanting the extra telephoto for sporting events), EF-S 10-22/3.5-4.5, and EF 50 mm - F/1.4

I'm not bound to these lenses if someone feels I could benefit from another lens.

    Thanks

  • Build or buy a mountain bike?

I've just started researching the market for a new mountain bike. My last one was a Trek VRX 200. It was alright for my needs at the time. I've since sold it and haven't ridden in a few years. I have a 18 yr old diamond back (solid hard tail, no front suspension) that I thought about tearing down and putting new components on it. Plus I want to get into the single speeds. What are my options...do I build it up or save the money and purchase a decent one?

While at work, waiting for our next ambulance run, the question came up, How much is a Butt load? This came after discussing the amount of narcotics given to one of our patents and was still able to ambulate. • Is it possible to qualify for a home loan with 2 foreclosures and a friend with 720+ credit score?

Much to my dismay, I am part of the foreclosure community. After 2 years of perfect payments on rent and car loan, my score has crept up to a 670. Would it be possible to obtain a home loan with a friend who has a 720+ credit score.

  • Does Prop. 13 protect against property gains taxation?

In Calif, my parents purchased their home in 1970. They wish to sell it and move to a retirement community in which a property there will be purchased for much less then the value of the current residing home. When sold, the property gains will far exceed $500,000. Will they be subject to propery gains taxes, or does Prop. 13, the Jarvis tax bill of 1978 protect them?

  • Escrow overcharges to seller, can they charge the buyer?

Escrow closed on our house about one week ago. We got a call stating they overcharged the seller. Escrow put a stop payment on a refund check that was sent to us. Furthermore, because of their miscalculations, we owe a little over $600. With all the docs signed, escrowed closed, keys in hand, and living in the new home, can escrow come back and charge us the extra $600?? My feeling on this is escrow made the mistake, and they should refund the seller $600.
