Complicated

I know work is not supposed to be a party, but have just been put in a new team with two people I never really liked, but would never have dreamed I would have to work with. They are total dorks and talk about machines and things all day long. Some other colleagues who work in another area have told me to buy ear plugs,which I did, but it's not much fun. Shall I just quit? My boss says that I should confront the situation, but I think life is too short. One of the colleagues has a mental illness and is quite difficult to handle and I know this isn't that person's fault, but I never know what they are going to do next. Any help would be great, thanks

I have a dilemma and it's driving me mad, so I thought I'd share...I thought for the past 8 months that I was going to lose my job in November. I applied for some other jobs doing something I have always wanted to do...the money is lousy and the accommodation is awful and I met a guy there previously, but don't want him, but am worried it will be awkward as it will be a small community. Yesterday, instead of receiving a redundancy letter I received a 20,000 dollar pay increase to be in line with what everyone else is getting in the new merge of councils. What do I do? Follow my dream, which is not a permanent job, but is a start in the area I want to be involved in or stay where I am living a money obsessed life doing a stressful job I have no passion about....??

I met a guy a few months ago. He seemed quite lovely and he's got a cool life and then he broke up with me because I didn't agree with everything that he said. I know that this is the best result and that he wasn't perfect, so why do I feel lke crap now?

I think the scenary is awesome and the people are amazingly friendly, on the whole. I sometimes get sick of being called a pomm. I miss the castles and churches in the UK. Whenever I point out the brilliant things about the UK I get totally slammed and am told that New Zealand is better. New Zealand also has the same problems as most developed countries, in terms of a huge migrant population, which sometimes has problems integrating into the New Zealand way of life. They also have a crime and a drug problem. I suppose I was surprised.

Anyway, I will be interested if anyone can help me, it's driving my crazy.
