I'm new at quilting and need some help. I'm getting ready to make the strip pieces and for the most part get what I need to do but I have a question. In the videos I watch they say to fold in half then fold in half again but it always looks like they are using about a yard of fabric, so my question can I use more than one yard to do this say like 3 yards as long as I make sure it is folded in half nicely?

My husband is going to Afghanistan in about a month and I want to send him with a camera. I need a point and shoot camera that takes great quality pictures (also decent video) while being able to withstand the elements especially sand. My price range is around $250. Thanks for the help!!!!

My baby is now engaged and I was just wondering for fun (I know it won't tell me when I will) how many weeks you ladies were when you felt your babies engaged and how many weeks you went into labor?

Ok here goes, In the last few days my baby boy has become engaged. I get low pressure most of the day and even though this is baby #3 for me, I don't remember the other two becoming engaged before labor. Well now that he has dropped I have been feeling weird, it's hard to explain. Like my stomach doesn't feel as big and even though he is still moving it feels so much different. I feel less pregnant and I have to go on a road trip (midwife said it was fine) tomorrow for 3 days without my husband and this weird feeling is freaking me out. Has anyone else just felt different after baby dropped? Any thoughts or advice would be great as long as helpful :)

your baby became engaged. I have been feeling really low heavy pressure but it seems to come and go. With my first two boys I don't think baby became engaged until labor. Boy #3 though might be different, when I stand up or have to pee there is this really low heavy pressure and I have been feeling it a lot today. Thanks in advance for your help :)

First I just wanted to say that I had a scare about two weeks ago but two days ago I went to see a specialist who clear the baby saying that everything looks great (they thought maybe cystic fibrosis) and I just need to tell some people (we didn't tell our family and friends).

Ok to my question I'm 30w3d and find myself hitting the point where I feel like it is still forever. I know I'm so close. When I say only about 9 weeks left it doesn't sound to bad but when my husband say only about 2 months left, I feel like it's never going to happen. So what have you guys been doing to help you though these hard patches?

I went for a 28 week ultrasound due to the fact that the babies kidneys were swollen at his 18 week ultrasound and they wanted to check and see if the swelling has gone down. My doctor just called and said that the ultrasound showed that the kidneys were more swollen and that the bladder and intestines might have problems. She also asked if I have ever been tested for cystic fibrosis. I'm now being scheduled for a high risk ultrasound in two weeks. My doctor said she didn't want to talk about what it could mean because she doesn't want to freak me out but I'm scared anyway and have two weeks to wait. I know none of you can tell me what it is. I was just wandering if anyone has gone through something similar and what it ended up being for them. Just some idea of what could be going on. Thank you!!!

I had an ultrasound today to find out what I''m having, I'm 17 weeks and it's a boy. I knew before the tech. said anything, I have two boys already and know what to look for. This was a one of those places you pay for not a place your doctor sends you. While doing the ultrasound the tech mention how there was a large black mass in the lower abdomen that she has never seen before in other ultrasounds she has done. She also said it could be the bladder but it looked like it was taken up about half the stomach. I started thinking about it and I never have seen anything like this in the other ultrasounds I have had with my other boys. Does anyone know what this could be, I'm going to call my doctor in the morning but help please does anyone have any idea or been through this themselves. Oh yeah and I know that she said it has to be fluid filled.

Ok this is my fourth pregnancy but at the end of Nov. I had a miscarriage and ever since I have had trouble not worrying which I didn't do when I was pregnant with my two sons. Ok to get to the question. I started to feel the baby move at about 12 weeks. Then at about 14 weeks I felt the baby moving like crazy, he or she had the hicups twice and was flipping all over the place and all of this happened in thirty min. I was so happy to feel it like that, it was three times as strong as I had felt so far. Now I'm 16 weeks and ever since that one night I can hardly feel the baby, it seems like it should get stronger. I hope this question makes sense. What it really boils down to is should I be worried that it's not getting stronger.

Ok so this is my third pregnancy that has made it past week 12. With my first two pregnancies I started to feel the heavy, pressure feeling late in pregnancy and could tell it was the baby's head. With this pregnancy I'm already feeling something like that, in fact I had forgotten all about the feeling until it started this time. But I'm scared because it seems way to early to have that feeling. I had a miscarriage in Nov. and for the first time find myself questioning the way I feel in pregnancy. So to get to my question is it normal to have this feeling so early or is it something I should be worried about? My friend said it could be my cervix opening up. Any advise would be great thanks in advance, oh yeah and I'm planning to call my doctor in the morning, just wanted your guys opinion.

Ok so I had my first ultrasound at 6 weeks and they told me that the baby's heartbeat was a little slow 80 bpm. I recently had a miscarriage so this freaked me out a little but my doctor told me not to worry. Well today I had another ultrasound at 9 weeks and the heartbeat was 185 bpm. My doctor won't call until tomorrow about it but I just wanted to know what you guys know or think, Is this a normal healthy heartbeat for a 9 week fetus? I just need some words of advise, thoughts or feelings. I just found out I'm Pregnant. I had a miscarriage 7 and half weeks ago and just found out I'm 6 weeks pregnant. My husband and I are very excited but at the same time I'm scared to get excited. I have had two health pregnancy's and this was my first experience with miscarriages. I'm just wondering if you guys have an words of advise or thoughts or anything that can help us though the next few weeks, we are trying to wait for the first trimester to be over this time just in case the something happens this time we don't have to go though what we went through last time. Help or thoughts please?

I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks. That was seven weeks ago. Then about four or five days ago I was sure my period was coming. I wiped and there was some light bleeding but really light, also the next morning I had some discharge but not much, then nothing, no period. I have also been having pregnancy like symptoms for the last couple of days. Feeling the way I did when I was pregnant the last time. I just took two pregnancy test and they turned positive right way! What do you guys think any chance I'm really pregnant or still trying to finish this miscarriage thing :( I'm going to call my doctor but just wanted to see what you guys think, Thanks!!!

My husband's army graduation day is coming up and I was wondering if I need to let them know I'm coming or if because I got the letter with all the info that I will be fine to just show up. I don't want to get there and be told I can't go because I didn't do some step! Help Please and Thank you!!!

Ok so I'm about five days late on my period. I took a test but it came out negative. Now I have started to spot. Its really small amounts that are hard to see, except for two time where it is like clear CM with blood in it. This is not like me, I have a bleeding disorder so when I start its all systems go. I have never even spotted like this before. Sorry if this is to much info. The things I'm wondering are 1.Do you think I could still be pregnant? 2.Will the spotting interfere with the HPT? and 3. I know this seems random but my breast feel like they are knotting up is this a pregnancy sign? Anyone experienced this before?
