4 AnswersGrade-Schooler1 decade agoChildren and BAD TV NEWS?
Do you let your (under 12) children watch the news when it is covering stories like the children incinerated at Waco, the children Bombed in the Oklahoma City office building, and the nine year old who was shot and killed last week in Arizona?
6 AnswersGrade-Schooler1 decade agoAt what age should children be considered adults?
The age at which this Country (USA) makes children face adult charges for crimes is decreasing. In Pennsylvania they tried a child of nine for "molesting" his seven-year-old brother. They charged a 12-year-old for murder in Florida.
I have my own "opinion" but I want to hear what others have to say on this matter.
ALSO when is a child too young to be charged at all (The statutory age was once universally seven.)

1 AnswerCivic Participation1 decade agoHow far do you let your sub-teens wander without parental supervision.?
I grew up in New York and my parents never had limits on my travels, I started going to Staten Island beaches (from Brooklyn) by my self when I was 9. By age 12, I had traveled as far as the subways would let me, and by 14, I was going to Jersey to Palisades Park.
Has the world changed so much?
3 AnswersOther - Pregnancy & Parenting1 decade agoShould a boy of 10, who claims to be transgendered be allowed to use the girls bathroom at his school?
the Maine Human rights commission says yes, but many parents here are uncomfortable with this arrangement. The school attempted to accommodate the child (and his parents) by arranging a special bathroom just for him, but the parents sued, and the school was forced to allow this intact male to use the girl's room?
