when is the best time to trade in an older vehicle?
I own a 2007 jeep patriot with 110,000 miles. I have not taken great care of it and I'm wondering when is the most economical time to trade it in. I do not want to wait until it's broken w/an expensive fix to trade it in but I'm really enjoying no car payments. If I had taken good care of the car w/frequent maintenances, oil change, parking in my garage, etc I realize this car could have lasted much longer. As I did not do this I'm just wondering if I should trade it in before it gets to a broken down point so I have some trade in value. Any thoughts from more car knowledgeable folk than I?

3 AnswersOther - Pets9 years agoshould I feed my rabbit papaya?
I just got a jersey wooly bunny and am a first time bunny mom. I read about wool block and that papaya supplements can be given to prevent this. Should I get this? If so what brand is the best?
3 AnswersOther - Pets9 years agoShould I be cleaning my rabbits eyes?
I just got a jersey wooly doe and she seems to have nearly constant irritated eyelids. I took her to the vet and they diagnosed her with conjunctivitis. Sometimes it looks better and sometimes it still looks red. I wonder if to prevent recurrent infections and irritation I should be cleaning around her eye? Her fuzzy wooly hair seems to be constantly touching her eye.Someone told me to use unscented baby wipes but I don't want to use anything that will irritate. Will it hurt her at all to clean around them once or twice a day? I also wonder if I should try to trim the fur around her eye or have a groomer?
2 AnswersOther - Pets9 years agoWill I feel numb after taking prozac?
My physician just put me on prozac. I feel that I need something but I'm not suicidal or anything. I'm just afraid of being on anything that is very strong. I read "Listening to Prozac" in college 17 years ago and the lady in the book described not feeling suicidal but then again she didn't feel much at all. I don't want to be numb or a zombie. I have been on lexapro and cymbalta before and I still felt things just not as intensely. Any experiences from others who are taking prozac?
3 AnswersMental Health9 years agoHow do I get my dog involved with hunting trials?
I have a bluetick hound and we are very happy together but sometimes I feel bad because I think he's probably bored. He used to be used for hunting but I got him through a rescue so he knows his job I just don't know mine. I know there are hunting trials where the animals are not actually killed the dogs are just timed to track them. (i know it's probably girly, too city, goofy, or whatever but I do not want to actually kill anything) I just want to give my dog a chance to use the nose God gave him. I'm just not sure where or how to get started. I live in Ohio so any ideas would be greatly appreciated especially local ones.
2 AnswersDogs9 years agoHow do I get my dog involved with hunt trials?
I own a bluetick hound and we are very happy together. BUT, i feel like he is bored. He was used to hunt I know but not sure what or where exactly. I know that he can do it but I don't know what I"m doing. PLUS, i know it's girly or city talk but I don't actually want to kill anything. I don't disagree for others mind you just not my thing. I just want to give him a chance to use the nose God gave him and get involved with activities we can do together as I love the outdoors. I know there are trials where the hunted raccoons are not killed I just have no idea where to start training or entering as a novice beginner. I know my dog knows what he's doing I am the one who needs trained. I live in Ohio any locals would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
2 AnswersHunting9 years agoWhat is the difference between a walker bluetick and just a bluetick?
I was told my dog is a bluetick but all the pictures he appears a little different. He is mostly white with black ticks not the normal revers of this. Someone on here told me he was probably a "walker bluetick". Thanks!
5 AnswersDogs9 years agoWhat can I do with my bluetick hound?
I have a 6.5yo bluetick hound and I'm sure that he is bored now that he doesn't hunt anymore. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas on some activities that I could do with him that doesn't involve killing anything. (p.s. I'm not getting into any hunting arguments it's just my choice and opinion and I understand others have different views which is ok.)
4 AnswersDogs9 years agoHow easy is it to be a traveling nurse w/pets?
I'm moving to NYC this summer and have a 75# dog, 2 birds (doves), and 2 cats. Will travel companies laugh at me when I say I want to move with all of this? I'm certain that manhattan is outof the question however didn't know if it would be feasible with in the burrows (queens, brooklyn, bronx, long island, staten island, etc) Any ideas from other traveling nurses or people who live in NYC?

I know Manhattan will be pretty much out of the question however didn't know about any of the burrows. Any traveling nurses have any insight? Thanks!

My dog has had itchy pink inflamed spots on his groin off and on for some time now. I switched his food and we did a course of steroids by the vet and they got much better and resolved but now they are back. His coat is very shiny and the itchy dandruff is gone but the little spots to his groin are starting to bother him again. He is eating blue buffalo long life fish and sweet potato but someone recommended premium edge skin and coat or taste of the wild fish. Anyone have any ideas or think any of these foods are the best?

2 AnswersAlternative Medicine1 decade agoWhy does my Oriental Shorthair cat vomit her food? Most importantly how do I get her to stop?
My cat has done this for years and it is usually after she eats and just whole pieces of food.(she doesn't chew her food.) I put little rubber balls in her food bowl to force her to slow down her eating. It seems that she is puking worse now and more often. (although like I said this has been going on really for years) I just feel bad for her and can't think that the acid going through her esophagus could be good for her. Not to mention that she is very vocal and it is HEARTBREAKING to hear! Our annual vet visit is coming up but have mentioned it before and they don't seem too concerned and just reccomend felilax which she doesn't really like. (nor is her vomit hairballs.) Just thought someone might have an idea.
5 AnswersCats1 decade agoWhy is Obama getting the Nobel peace prize?
Don't get me wrong I voted for him and all but I don't understand what he has done that is soo great in less than a year to deserve this. I mean he just committed to sending more troops to war, he tip toed (somewhat understandably) the human rights/Tibet issue with the Chinese, and he refused to meet with HH Dalai Lama. This just doesn't add up to me.

4 AnswersDogs1 decade agoWhy are born again Christians close minded?
Seriously, other religions are willing to accept another way of thinking even if it isn't what they believe. So, why are born again christians especially unwilling to even consider that their might be another way?
