Can someone help me prove this geometry problem?
Two straight lines parallel to the base of a trapezoid divide each lateral side into three equal parts. The entire trapezoid is separated by the lines into three parts. Find the area of the middle part if the areas of the upper and lower part are S1 and S2, respectively.
The answer is 0.5(S1+S2). Help will be much appreciated.

Leo,Ian and Mia were born in the same date in different years. Leo's age is Mia's age squared + Ian's age squared. When Mia was born, Ian's age was one-ninth of Leo's. Five years from now, Ian's age + Mia's age will be 16/25 of Leo's age. Find their ages.
1 AnswerMathematics4 years agoHow can I master English's past tense?
I consider myself to be fairly proficient in English, but I have difficulties in understanding English's past tense - as in, when should I say "I walked", when "I have walked", when "I was walking", when "I had been walking" etc. Can someone explain when should I say each of the above-stated examples? Thank you very much!

The line y=dx+e is a tangent line to the parabola y=ax^2+bx+c
Prove that: (b-d)^2=4a(c-e)
1 AnswerMathematics4 years agoCan you help me with a calculus question? I didn't manage to solve it.?
The parabola y = k - x^2 intersects the Y axis at point A, and the X axis at point B (point B is in the first quadrant). A tangent line touches the parabola at point C which is in the first quadrant. Point C's X-coordinate is 1. The line AB is parallel to the tangent line. Find k.
2 AnswersMathematics4 years agoWhat would you do if your bully would ask for your help?
What would you do - if a person that mentally tortured you for years, made you feel worthless and turned everyone against you - without ever suffering for it, would ask you to donate money for his cancer-ridden mom? They say she has to undergo a special treatment in less than 2 weeks or she dies - what would you do?

4 AnswersMathematics5 years agoMy laptop was hit by a phone charger and stopped working. What should I do? (Details inside)?
So I used my laptop (a lenovo) and he worked just fine and all until, long story short, my sister dropped a phone charger on its screen. Ever since the charger hit the screen, it looks likes this:
https://s31.postimg.org/ux8y3f363/20160617_175236....
It happened a little bit more than a hour ago and nothing has changed. I tried to turn the computer off and when I turned it on again the screen just looked the same (like the picture that I've sent)
Should I take it to a computer lab or can I fix this by myself/wait until it will just get back to normal alone? Great thanks to helpers!
2 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks5 years agoI lied to my parents that I have an important test so I wouldn't have to go to a school trip. They found out, what do I do?
So today (Wednesday in my country) I was supposed to go on a school trip. I hate trips, and I feel very tired and stressed lately so I thought I could enjoy from a nice vacation day instead of going, so yesterday I told my parents that I have an important math test on Thursday and that I want to stay in home and learn (Technically, there was supposed to be a test, but it was postponed some days ago).
About an hour ago (9:00 AM in my country), my mom called me and told me that my teacher called her to ask why I didn't come, and she told him about the test. He told her that the test was postponed for technical reasons.
She told me to call him and check what happened.
What do I do now? She'll probably want answers when she'll come home. While it will probably be easy to make her believe that the test was postponed, my father is far more skeptical and untrusting than her. What do I do now? If they'll discover that I intentionally lied to them they would take my computer and cellphone for some time as punishment, and they will not trust me! How can I convince them that I didn't know the test was postponed (I really do intend to practice math today through, because the test is scheduled to be in the next week).
4 AnswersFamily5 years agoMuslims, what do you think about gays and lesbians?
Hey,
I'm doing a research about homosexuality in the middle east since the middle ages, and I wanted to ask some muslims here (especially from the Gulf and the Levant) what do you think about gays and lesbians? do you think that homosexuality is a sexual perversion or a normal sexuality? do you support gay rights? do you have any biases about gays? do you think homosexuality should be an official crime punishable by imprisonment or death, or you think homosexuality should be legal?
thanks :)
4 AnswersUnited Arab Emirates7 years agoDo you support or oppose the death penalty?
I had an argue with my friends about this question :P
Some said that there is no difference between execution to murder, and that death penalty is just a legal murder, and the other said that a human who killed another human has no right to live, because he took this right from someone else, and the death penalty is helping to get rid of dangerous criminals and mobsters and prevents them to kill more people.
I wanted to know what you think and why.
thanks :)
10 AnswersPolitics7 years agoCan I visit Arab countries if I will give up on my Israeli citizenship?
I'm a Jew who was born and live in Israel.
I always wanted to immigrate to Norway, and according to the norwegian nationality law if you became a norwegian citizen you have to give up about your previous citizenship.
If I will give up on my Israeli citizenship and get a Norwegian citizenship instead, will I be able to enter to countries like United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Lebanon and another countries I couldn't visit because of my Israeli citizenship?
