So today is my birthday and my boyfriend hasn t even acknowledged it. He gave me a gift a few days ago so I don t think he forgot...but I m hurt he didn t say anything today. Mainly because no one has but I just thought he definitely would. I know birthdays aren t a big deal in his family but I just think it s weird he said nothing. Am I being overdramatic? What should I do?

I am going to be a junior in high school and I m concerned about getting my gpa up in time for college applications. My gpa isn t awful (3.05), but I would feel more comfortable applying to colleges if it were closer to even a 3.3. I take a mix of different level classes. (AP English, two advanced advanced history classes, advanced science, college prep math and foreign languages). I know gpa isn t the only deciding factor in a college s decision to accept you, but I know there is a big difference between earning a 3.0 and a 3.3/4, at least on paper. My freshman year was the primary cause of this. I was going through a hard time with my family and I developed depression and an eating disorder; school really stopped mattering to me and I stopped putting in the effort I normally would ve. I turned things around my sophomore year and brought my 2.7 up to what it is currently. I m just looking for advice as to what I can do to keep my grades up to leave as many options open for colleges as I can. Thank you!

So I ordered a package that arrived this morning at 11, however I was at school. I wasn't aware that a signature would be needed as I have ordered a computer previously which hadn't needed a signature. Hi! so I'm looking for a good drugstore foundation. I just purchased the trublend by covergirl and I am not impressed. Contrary to the name, it wouldn't blend with my skin, it just sat there in patches. I have very fair skin (I'm usually the lightest shade) and dry skin. I've heard nice things about the covergirl outlast stay fabulous foundation, and the fit me foundation, but is it worth the hype? Hi! so I am 5'3 and I wear a size 4 in skirts, and until recently, all the stores I've been to had sizes like: 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 etc for jeans or pants (I usually buy an 8), but I've been eyeing some pants at Banana Republic and their sizes run differently like: 22, 24,25, 26 etc, and the 26 and 27 for example, fits my legs but is far too tight in my waist. I'm currently in the eighth grade and I've been thinking about going to a vocational high school instead of the regular high school in my town. I'm planning on studying Graphic communications and then going to college and majoring in journalism with a minor in photo journalism to make the two connect. I've always loved writing and photography so I though this would be a good idea. However, I've heard that colleges are more apt to accept kids who have gone to a traditional highschools. I really want to go to a good college, not a community college. My dad has a friend who went to brown after attending a vocational school but I don't know if this is a rarity or not . So, what should I do!? Please help. I've become really worried.

I'm in an eighth grade advanced English class and we have been assigned to write a fall poem, the main focus being imagery and other poetic devices. A Wordy Explanation for Why the Trees Shiver

We awe at the fiery, vibrant red and yellow leaves. Christen them with names like beautiful and majestic. Yet when they break and tumble to the ground, we step on them.

We yank out the interiors of pumpkins and still force them to smile. Carve new faces on to them because we think they weren't good enough just being themselves.

I think black and blue would be more appropriate colors for Halloween because the autumn is as bruised as the apples left on the ground to rot simply, because they did not meet your standards.

This is why the trees shiver.

Year, after year the leaves fall for the ground; they desert the trees.

No, they don’t just desert them. They dance their way to the ground. They swirl around and gloat to the trees how happy they are on their own. Leaving only a chilling, goose bump inducing emptiness where the heart once lied.

We expect trees to be strong, sturdy, stable. Expect them to stand tall and proud even during hurricanes.

But you know, even the Redwoods burn sometimes. Become engulfed in flames. Maybe we’ve been mistaking the dying creatures for the leaves, flaunting their brilliant hues. Isn’t it funny how travesty and magic can look the same?

Just like monsters and children become one on Halloween.

I’ve been thinking. I rack this eternal filing cabinet I’ve named “mind” for the answer to why we have hurt autumn so much.

Maybe the leaves have accidently kicked us too many times while they were cartwheeling about.

Or maybe we are still bitter from every time the wind has left our hands raw and numb. I honestly think it was just trying to show us how it always feels.

So Ive always thought hair color didnt matter to guys, but after looking at some of the questions on this topic, Ive noticed a pattern. Several of the answers said things like "blondes are for play, but brunettes stay" meaning who ever wrote this views blondes as easy, and brunettes more as a partner. Im justcurious to see what you think. Im blonde and I am not at all easy, and I get good grades in school. I never thought hair color mattered, does it?
