Hey, so I m giving blood this Saturday and even though I ve done it before and I m not worried at all, I was wondering what might make for a better donation, and alleviate my after-donation symptom of being REALLY sleepy. Not woozy or dizzy, but sleepy.

Obviously getting a good night s sleep will help, and I know to eat a good breakfast, but is there anything I can do the night before? Or even during this week?

I already take a daily multivitamin. I eat eggs for breakfast most mornings and some sort of meat for dinner, so I have the protein. Are carbs a good idea? Natural sugars? Gatorade before/during/after? Let me know.

Hey, so, a friend of mine bought this wooden ring for me online a while back and it was great. Fit well, absolutely gorgeous color, but I ve only worn it a handful of times and the varnish is already crackling off. I swear they used nail polish or something. I have really fine sand paper, but as I was reading up on the best ways to sand things, I came across wet sanding. The sand paper I bought CAN be soaked, but should I?

And any ideas for the new varnish? I bought both spray-on sealant and pour-on gel, both with great reviews that I ll try on a piece of scrap first, but any advice would be great.

Okay, so, I m a writer. I ve got this huge idea and the plot is working and the backstories are coming together, but I have a big problem. One of the main characters has Fugue Amnesia, so he can t even remember his name and has no ID on him. If he walks into a police station and asks for help, what happens?

Do they take finger prints? Check for tattoos? Send him to the hospital? Make him take a psych eval? Call a news station? Where do they put him?

If they do check for prints and they re not in their system, do they send the prints to a bigger facility? He s a retired marine (even though he doesn t know it), so yeah, his prints register SOMEWHERE, but how long is it going to take to find that somewhere?

I'm conducting a scientific experiment in which 2 medications are used to accelerate healing. I pinned one against the other to see which would work more effectively. I know the definitions of both words, but I can't figure out what the independent and dependent variables are. Salve one? Salve two? The cut? The fact that it heals? What?

So. I have a best friend. Let's call him Sam. Sam is... a pretty huge part of my life, obviously. He's... he's the most amazing person anyone could ever meet and I honestly feel sorry for the people who don't know him. And I guess that's part of the problem. I'm... for lack of a better phrase... in love with him. And that's bad. Maybe. I don't really know.

We met as freshman through a mutual friend but we didn't really get a chance to talk (at all) until sophomore year and we had two classes together. One of them constantly had partner projects so we just went with it. By the time second semester started we had already decided we liked to talk to one another, so we did. Every morning and chance we got during class. Waving was a common occurrence in the halls. I hesitate to label anyone as a friend but we just... clicked. When Junior year started, we didn't have classes together, but we still met up at my locker, between classes and before I grabbed the bus. Neither of us really like technology, so there was never really more than that. I thought we were just really good friends. I mean... duh, but I was writing him a letter for his yearbook cuz I knew I wasn't gonna be able to write everything in 5 mins and I just realized that I love him THAT way. I've been fiddling with that for a month now and I'm more nervous than anything, but 2 days ago we had an hour long phone conversation and... I can't lose him. Which means I may not get to have him. Which is worse? What do I do?!

I have just acquired braces and my mother bought me a waterpik. My orthodontist quickly remarked that it wouldn't be enough, and that I should floss. My question is, how often should I floss instead of using the pik? Thank you.

So I have this friend at school, and he's a really sweet, nice guy. He's always there for anyone who needs him, and he can be counted on for a hug at any time of day. where to begin? I'm 15, and i'm stuck. next year, i'll be a sophomore in hs, but i'll be taking anatomy and physiology, algebra2 with trigonometry and advanced english 2. i haven't taken an IQ test before, but since first grade people have been telling me i'm brilliant. i'm scared. i'm not sure what i'm supposed to do. am i supposed to go to vet school in Madison WI like everyone, including myself, wants me too? or is there something else out there? am i supposed to be something more? or, maybe not more, just different? as i sit here typing i'm afraid to go to school in September, and i don't use that word lightly. i hate this feeling. i've always been able to concur fear. always. i'd learn the facts, think through things. but the future... the future is illogical. i can't figure it out! somebody please tell me what i'm supposed to do! please don't mistake this for whining. i'm very grateful that i'm intelligent and have had the chance to nurture it, but i just don't know where to turn anymore. my parents are hopeless, neither of them understand. my father is a jerk accountant who, in my personal impression, is a self absorbed idiot, and my mother, though a certifiable genius (IQ test by real physiologist is 146) didn't go to college until she was 46, she was too busy taking care of her five kids. they just don't get it! does someone else? please... i'll take anything at this point.

i live in a child filled subdivision and a man down the road wrote sexual comments on his car (such as i like your 8 inch penis, a horney man lives in this house,honk if that made you horney ect.), which he parked on the street. i was wondering if this is legal or not, so i know whether or not i should warn him about myself calling the cops unless he washes is car or parks it in his garage. again, there are little children (ages 5 and up) that see that when they ride their bikes and i'm concerned that they might pick something up.
