I'm going to be a college freshman this year and need a good laptop that will last me for the next four years. I wanted to get the best laptop possible so that I don't end up encountering problems and having to buy a new one. I just want a solid laptop that I know will last. I did a lot of research and came across a hard decision, as many others probably have, with choosing between the HP Spectre x360 and the Dell XPS 13. I choose the Spectre. The only problem left is, I'm planning on buying the i7 8GB 256GB SSD one but its a solid ~$1200 US Dollars. I'm planning on babying this laptop so I'll probably get a case, screen protector and keyboard cover as well, which will probably end up totaling to around $1350~

My only problem is that this is my first time buying such an expensive laptop, my past ones amounted to $500~ at most and I thought that was a lot of money already. This new laptop I'm getting is a laptop I'll be buying with the money I personally saved up, that's why I want it to be the best one possible so it can last me four years without me regretting it. I specifically want to get it with those specs because I might end up wanting to go into video editing or such, and want to leave possibilities open for myself.

So ultimately the question is... Should I buy this laptop? Or get something cheaper? Is it worth it? Thank you in advance!

I've been looking for a good laptop to buy for quite a while now but cant seem to find one that fits perfectly.

I'm looking for a laptop that can suit my student needs as a college freshman, but at the same time it should also be able to handle some casual gaming, have a clean design and generate pages quickly. Games wise it should handle League of Legends at medium settings and Minecraft with no lag.

I don't care about the battery life, and can overlook things like no keyboard backlight or a shitty touch pad. It would be a plus if the screen was touch though.

My budget is around the ~$1000 US dollar range. I've already looked into a few laptops, the Dell XPS 13 and ASUS ROG series being among them but they were too expensive.

Desired Specs

Processor: At least an Intel i5, but i7 preferred. But if the difference between the two is a huge price difference in exchange for a small performance drop, then I'm fine with the i5.

RAM: At least 8GB, but up to 6GB is fine. The more the better.

Hard Drive: 256GB SSD minimum. Less would be okay depending on the laptop.

Screen size: 13"

Weight: Under 3lbs. A little over is fine.

I've found one laptop that was absolutely perfect for all my needs, the ASUS UX305. However one of things that is making me reconsider is the Intel Core M processor because I'm not sure if it can handle the games I want to play. I've looked in several sites but they've all given me mixed answers.

To start off, I'm a junior in Southern California. Second semester is ending in two weeks, and my grades are definitely not looking good. This semester alone I have two C's - both of which are staying C's - in my two AP classes. The remainder of my classes are regular, with three B's and one A. So as of right now, my gpa is a 3.17 weighted, 2.83 unweighted. I might be able to raise one of the B's into an A, but its not guaranteed.

My total GPA is a 3.16 weighted, 3.09 unweighted. Its probably going to go down or remain the same after this semester ends. Throughout highschool I've only taken two AP classes, both from this year. I managed to get a B in both my AP classes first semester, but the tests second semester pretty much killed my grade.

Both my parents are highly expectant, and have been expecting me to get into a UC of some sort since high school pretty much began. And to be perfectly honest - I dont think I'll be able to get into any.

The main reason is that I have no extra curricular activities done. I've taken one performing arts class, but that was because its required to graduate. I've had no participation in clubs, sports, or ASB or anything. I'm planning on taking Yearbook senior year, but doubt that'll do much.

I heard about going to a regular collage for the first two years then transferring, but I haven't heard enough about it to consider it.

Someone, please help? Will I be able to get into a good college?

Hi, its like a hundred degrees where I'm at and my room is the hottest room in my house. I have one fan in my room as well as a ceiling fan but they're both no help at all. I tried closing my windows and closing my doors, but that only seems to make my room hotter. I need to study for upcoming finals, but my brains melting and I cant seem to concentrate. Any tips on how to make my room as cold as possible? I'd actually like it to get cold to the point where I can wear sweats, but I know that's not happening...

We actually do have an AC but my dad doesn't let us turn it on because the filter isn't changed, and he's not showing any signs on changing it soon. He usually gets home at night, so he has no idea how hot it gets in the afternoon.

Is there anything I can do to cool down my room considerably? My room itself isn't that big, but it has three giant windows that just let heat in. Its also carpet floored, and the windows are covered white white blinds.

Please help!

The answer is:

I just need to know how it got there. I know for sure that the order of subtraction in the integral should be top minus bottom, but I checked the graph and even plugged points to find that the top graph should be y=2x. Is it just a mistake on my part calculation wise, or did I copy the wrong answer?

So far in pokemon black I'm about to go up against the elite four. So all my pokemon are lvl 40~50 ish. Currently on my team are:

Jellicent(44)

Scrafty(50)

Serperior(42)

Fraxure(41)

Darmanitan(43)

Eelektrik(41)

I want to add in a Rufflet/Braviary into my team. I'm thinking of replacing Serperior since it hasn't really been helpful unless its against Water/Ground types, and Darmanitan as well, though his performance was more satisfactory than Serperior's. The reason why Scrafty's level is so high compared to the others is because I decided to level him up ahead of everyone else to beat the 8th gym leader since at the time Fraxure still hadn't evolved yet, and was quite weak. Jellicent and Eelektrik are also crossing my mind since they're not really taking hit wells at the moment (especially Eelektrik, though I expect that to change when I evolve him sooner or later). I'm regretting not starting with Oshawott since Samurott seems the better choice over Jellicent and Serperior, but well yeah. So any suggestions?

My sister stepped on our German Shepherd's tail not too long ago, and its been crooked ever since. Its not really noticeable when you look at it, even from up close, but when you touch it you can feel it. Its crooked around the middle. He's been wagging his tail fine as if there's no problem, and he can lift his tail when going potty, but sometimes, when he sits down, he yelps loudly like he's in pain. Not sure if its just because of the pain or because he whines a lot (he whines loudly all the time, since way back before his tail was crooked) and he only yelps ever once in a while. We cant go to the vet since there isn't one nearby and my parents are really busy.

Is he alright?

Before anyone says anything about homework, I've actually been racking my brain for an answer for quite a while now so no, I'm not trying to get anyone to do my homework.

Socialism just isn't a philosophy that I find represented in Grapes of Wrath at all. From what I know, the beliefs of Socialists is that everyone should be equal, isn't it? Grapes of Wrath is like the exact opposite, the classes of landowners and migrants are set so far apart that the landowners are filthy rich while the migrants are starving to death. I dont see where in TGOW there could be an example of socialism.

Sorry if my tone is a bit rude, or if it seems that I'm just not thinking enough. I've already had to rack my brain for examples of Transcendentalism, Naturalism, Romanticism and Realism in the book, and to say that they fried my brain would be quite the understatement hahah.

So we've had this female chihuahua mixterrier (6months) first, and have had her for two months before we got this new dog. She's already gotten accustomed to the house, and it was all really fine until the new dog came along. Our new dog is a male German Shepherd (3months) and he's already double her size, and still growing. Our chihuahua doesn't really take lightly to dogs that are bigger than her, and tends to provoke them and start fights, then run away barking. Our GSD keeps trying to bite her(or nibble whatever it is), and chases her down, frightening her in the process. We tried leaving the two in a room for a bit (with us supervising of course) and weren't quite sure whether or not they were fighting. We pulled them apart the moment we saw their teeth bare. The entire time though, our chihuahua had her tails in between her legs quite literally, and looked like she had no tail. It was looked as if she didn't have one.

At the beginning we thought she had interest in him since she kept wagging her tail, but are also quite aware that wagging doesn't necessarily amount to happiness or excitement.

When they first met, too, it wasn't on neutral grounds but on the chihuahua's home ground(parents insisted that we were wrong when we tried to tell them, they're way too stubborn for their own good), and our chihuahua has pretty much gotten her bed taken away by him. The bed had been hers through the entire stay, until my parents decided to give it to our GSD because he needed a bigger bed. We do feel pretty bad for her, but she's got priviliges to the entire second floor while the GSD hasn't.

Also, our chihuahua is an indoor dog, while we're planning to make the GSD an outdoor. Of course, that doesn't mean that he wont be able to come inside at all.

Someone please help us with this issue, the two need to start getting used to each other soon but we dont know how long it'll take, or if they'll get along at all

Oh, and for the record, its the second day since the GSD came in.

Just a quick survey to see which family one would prefer, and I'd be grateful if you added in an explanation. And of course, I mean born into the Naruto world during Naruto's time. Also, the Senju family wont be having any bloodline limit. There wont be any bloodline limit involved whatsoever, just which family you would rather be born to.

There's this paragraph I'm typing that needs to have a hurt tone. I find it easy to write sentences that have a certain tone with other words, like joyful or peaceful, but hurt is another story altogether. I keep racking my brain but I cant think of anything.

Can someone please give me an example of a sentence that has a hurt tone so I can get an idea?

There's a paragraph I'm writing, and it has to have a hurt tone. Like the tone has to be hurt. But I really cant think of any. Most sentences that have a tone dont use the certain tone word, but convey the tone through the use of other words. I cant think of how to do it though.

It doesn't matter if it varies from black hair to brown hair, as long as its a character who's hair covers them like that. It would also help if the character had many different types of faces, like in an anime or a manga. And the character's body cant be too slim either, like normal size, or thicker in build. Thanks!

I heard that one shouldn't pop a blister from a second degree burn, so I told my mother not to, but now there's a small hole in the blister and liquid is falling out?

My mom got the blister two days ago, from keeping garlic on her skin for too long. We heard that applying garlic on the skin helps bug bites go away, so she tried it, but after leaving it on for a few hours she got a burn and a blister formed. The liquid in the blister got bigger and bigger until it was full, and now it seems a hole of some kind formed on top of the blister and liquid is oozing out. Is this a good thing? Bad thing? What should we do?

For a while now my tooth has been on and off with pain. The pain isn't that bad, its actually more light a light throb every now and then but it was the same roughly a year ago, before I crowned it. I remember I ignored it back then, and a few hours later it started getting worse and worse, until it became the worse toothache ever.

Because of that I'm really wary of my toothache this time around, but I'm wondering if going to the dentist is a really good idea since it usually costs a lot. I took Ibuprofen already, have been for the past two days, but the occasional pain is still there. Almost as if the medicine wasn't affecting it at all.

So should I visit?

I remember back around a year ago, I had the biggest toothache of my life. It hurt so, so bad that I was taken to the dentist immediately and treated.

The toothache was a throbbing kind, where there was a throbbing pain on the tooth that occurred spontaneously, each more painful than the last (in my experience). I remember in the first few hours it didn't hurt that bad, it was just an occasional throb, but then it started getting more repetitive and worse, until it was unbearable. It was at the lower right back tooth, not sure if its my wisdom teeth or not. But it hurt like hell.

Now, a year later and after getting it crowned, its starting to act up again. It doesn't hurt as bad, but I remember it was like the beginning stages of the last, and I'm really dreading it. Like I'm really, really scared. What's wrong with my tooth? Is there anything I can do to get rid of it while its pain is still little before I go to the dentist?

Krookodile - Ground/Dark

Hydriegon - Dark/Dragon

Ferrothorn - Grass/Steel

And for my starter its gonna be either Oshawott or Tepig. I'm still trying to decide. The four pokemon listed above are my most definites, especially Krookodile. However, feel free to recommend anything, like what pokemon i should add to strengthen some weak points, which pokemon I should take out, and most importantly, which starter i should choose. I want my team to be pretty well rounded and to be able to take on anything that comes along. But I'm still not sure which pokemon I should add and delete. Thanks in advance.

I used to be a complete pokenerd, knowing every single pokemon and its weaknesses and everything back during the diamond/pearl days, but i stopped playing after losing my ds. So i finally got a new ds last week, and am planning on buying the good ol' pokemon games again, but am also on a low budget. So i can only buy one game for now. I haven't played pokemon black/white yet, so i was planning on buying black when i saw that pokemon black/white 2 was already out. So my question is should i buy pokemon black/white first, then buy black/white 2? Or are they like the same thing and should I just go for getting black/white 2? Give me your opinions. Thanks.
