  • Are solar flares a very real danger to humans?

First, I apologize in advance for any errors in spelling and punctuation. I happened to come across an article about "doomsday preppers" and how those individuals go into the top five diasters that 'will' happen. One of these being solar flares striking earth and wreaking havoc on electronic devices and life as we know it. This is a reason they go to lengths to build bunkers, store food and weapons, water, and endless supplies. They have claimed to download an "app" telling them about solar flares and preparation. Ive tried to look information about the threat or danger or possibility of this happening, but im getting no definitive answer. It would be much appreciated if anyone could give me an explanation please. I don't know if this is nonsense or if I'm "an ignorant sheep" (as the article mentions for those of us not spending money to prepare.) Are solar flares a very real dangerous threat to humans and could it cause an "apocalypse?" Thank you all for your time. I realized I have written quite a lot. Please serious answers only, I'm only human.

  • Where can I find the syringe gel bait for roaches?

Hello. I would like to know what stores and aisles I would find the syringe gel Roach bait. Also, I would like to know the name(s) of the product. In addition to that, where should I place the bait? Please, any tips or quick lasting results would be a great help. I have seen one Roach in my utensil drawer in the kitchen which was thin and light brown. I killed it of course, but I am now very concerned there may be more. I have an exterminator spray once every 3 months, its the raining season; I live in Florida. Have not had any problems like this before. Except with a few palmetto bugs outside, but that's it. Please helpful and serious answers only. I appreciate your time.

  • How did astronauts know what to wear in space?

I'm curious to know, before they made their first space walk or first landed on the moon, how is it they knew what to wear? How did they know if it would be hot or cold? How did they know about the moons gravitation? How did they know what to make the suits out of? How did they know about the radiation levels? How did they know what type of materials for the rocket would withstand all the intense changes, speeds and everything? I'm very interested to get the answers to these questions as well. I have been reading and have not really come up to anything that would indicate just how they knew this stuff in advance. Perhaps I have overlooked something? Please serious or thoughtful answers only. I appreciate your time into my questions, I am only human.

  • Have the planets changed since they were first discovered & documented?

I apologize if my question is not worded properly for the question I'm asking first off. I have done some research online about the planets of our solar system, but I can't seem to find out if the planets have changed. E.g. weather, atmosphere, pressure, air,volatile/calm storms, ice melted, dust settled, or something to that effect? I have not been able to find very much stated about change within the planets, only their respective moons. I wonder if maybe one day in the way distant future if another planet will become like earth, (habitable?) I do not claim to be the smartest, but very curious; please thoughtful or serious answers only.

  • My washing machine is not functioning properly?

Its a used heavy duty maytag washing machine. When its on spin cycle it violently shakes. After it fills up on 'rinse' cycle, it does not do any other function until you open and close the lid or move it manually to the next cycle. I do small loads and know how to use a washing machine as well. Any suggestions please? I really hope its not a expensive problem. Much appreciated.

I've had bad heartburn on and off the past few years. Tums and Rolaids do not seem to work anymore. I've taken the generic brands at walmart as well. Nothing seems to work or be continually effective. I don't want to waste money on the expensive pills, so please a few suggestions or feedback would be much appreciated!
