  • Should I accept this trade? I give up Freddie Freeman and Hisashi Iwakuma. I get Masahiro Tanaka, Dallas Keuchel, and Matt Cain.?

We start C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, Util, Util, SP, SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, P. It's head to head roto scoring with 7 hitting categories and 7 pitching categories. I have 4 1B's: Jose Abreu, Joey Votto, Mark Teixeira, and Freddie Freeman. Abreu is a stud, and Votto and Teixeira are hot right now. Freeman is doing solid, but I don't really need four 1B's. My pitching is a little weak. Iwakuma was my first pitcher in the draft, and I have as my other SP's Sonny Gray, Edinson Volquez, Odrisamer Despaigne, Mike Leake, and John Lackey.

  • What foods are being eaten in these Oscar nominated movies?

Every year, we have an Oscar meal with foods that were being eaten in the best picture nominated films. Usually, we're able to see all the movies, but this year, we aren't able to see four of those movies. What food(s) were eaten in the following movies?

    Amour

    Django Unchained

    Les Miserables

    Zero Dark Thirty

I'm looking for foods actually eaten (or even mentioned or featured), not simply "inspired" by the movies. For example, for Silver Linings Playbook, one of our foods will be Raisin Bran for the scene when Patrick orders Raisin Bran at the diner so to send a message to Tiffany that this wasn't a date. Also, we have crab because Bilbo, Latham, and Stephens were eating crab when Bilbo smashed his with a hammer. Because there are nine movies, each food doesn't have to be huge. It can even be a beverage. Please mention the food and the scene it was in. Also, my wife is vegetarian (except fish), so if we could keep it vegetarian, I'd appreciate it. Thanks! (I know I'm so demanding) ;-) Here was our menu last year:

The Artist - Black and White Popcorn

The Tree of Life - Mashed Potatoes

    The Descendants - Pina Coladas

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close - Apple Juice

The Help - Chocolate Creme Pie

    Hugo - Croissants

    Midnight in Paris - Bouillabaise

    Moneyball - Cracker Jacks

    War House - Jam

  • 2004 Pontiac Grand Am Problems?

I have a 04 Pontiac Grand Am. Yesterday, I started my car and it started fine. It also drove fine. However, all the interior accessories didn't work: speedometer, odometer, radio, power windows, A/C, etc. The turn signals worked. After a few minutes, everything came back on. Recently, I've noticed that while driving, the A/C and cruise control will kick off momentarily, and then turn back on. This doesn't happen often, though. On five separate occasions, my battery has run out, but a jump will fix it. The battery problem hasn't happened since this new problem of the interior accessories, and I don't know if that's related. Last time I got an oil change, they tested the alternator and battery and they were fine. That was around 2-3 months ago.

  • Has any movie grossed more money in the second weekend than its opening weekend?

Typically a movie's highest gross is in its opening weekend, but has it ever happened that a movie's box office gross on the second weekend exceeded the box office gross on its opening weekend?

  • Who should I start at RB?

I have Marion Barber (@ GB), Michael Turner (vs. KC), and Reggie Bush (@ DEN). We start two RB's. Which two should I go with?

Michael Turner is going up against a very week KC team, but stalled last week. Reggie Bush is catching a lot of balls for a lot of yards, which makes him look good against Denver as Darrren Sproles torched the defense in return yards and receiving yards. Marion Barber runs like a linebacker and seems to be a lock for a touchdown or two. I'm split.

It's a more or less standard scoring league (i.e. 1 pt per 10 yd. rush/rec. and 6 pts. of TD).

    Thanks!

  • Verifying statistical identities.?

    Verify the following identities

    sum of (-1)^k * (n choose k) as k goes from 0 to n is equal to 0

    sum of k * (n choose k) as k goes from 1 to n is equal to n * 2^(n-1)

    sum of (-1)^k * k * (n choose k) as k goes from 1 to n is equal to 0

Assume that n is greater than or equal to 2

    Any help is much appreciated.

  • Martha Stewart on the Today Show?

I've got to say that I love it when Martha Stewart is on the Today Show. Not because of her craft ideas or anything like that, but because Meredith Vieira tries to hide her contempt for Martha. It's hilarious. Here you have Martha Stewart that has less pizzazz than a Stepford Wife making perfect little crafts and Meredith grinning through her teeth to try to convince everyone that she actually is enjoying doing the segment with Martha. I saw one particular one where Meredith said after she was having trouble with a craft, "...But it's okay to make a mistake." And Martha replied, "No it's not." The look on Meredith's face was awesome. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone else picked up on this.

  • Fantasy Football trade.....should I do it?

I give up Marion Barber and Joey Galloway. I gain Kellen Winslow, and Laverneus Coles. My other receivers/tight ends (we start two receivers, one tight end, and one flex WR/TE) are Jason Witten, Andre Davis, Donald Driver, Roddy White, Braylon Edwards, and Antwaan Randle El. My other running backs are Thomas Jones and Joseph Addai. (We start two running backs.) I'm torn because Laverneus Coles and Kellen Winslow would upgrade my receiving corps, but I'm not sure if I'm willing to give up Barber for it because even though Addai will be consistent, Thomas Jones hasn't found paydirt yet this season.

  • Remember those grid art activities in elementary school?

What are they called? The teacher gives you a grid with letters and numbers, and an instruction sheet. The instruction sheet has coordinates telling where to put certain designs and shapes and colors. For example, the sheet would have "I2" and then a box with what you are supposed to put in that coordinate. At the end, it made a picture. Where can I find them on the Internet to print out?

  • What's this movie?

When I was a kid, I saw this weird movie. It's from the eighties or the nineties, and the only clear thing I remember is that someone was making a statue out of chocolate pudding. It's one of those movies that is a horror comedy for kids.
