  • New to investing. Where to start?

I'm beginning to have interest in investing my earnings to something profitable. In particular, I just started to noticing the popularity of online trading (stock, forex). The problem is I'm new to all this, and completely ignorant of all the jargon and how the system works.

I don't want to recklessly invest my money without understanding what I'm doing. I also don't have that much money to invest yet. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Where should I start? Is online trading advisable for newbies like me? Does it make a difference whether you sign up for the services of an international company, or am I better of finding one locally (Australia)?

    Thanks for all your advise.

  • Are PC games going out of style?

I just noticed that there seems to be more console games in the stores nowadays. In most Gamestop and EB Games stores I've been don't have and PC games anymore. Has there been any news somewhere that gaming companies are moving away from PC games?

I'm just wondering whether it's worth upgrading my laptop to max for games or should I just put the money on buying a console?

  • Winter trip packing tips?

I'm leaving in two weeks for a winter holiday in New York. I'm practically clueless about what to pack, as I grew up in a tropical environment, and now live in Australia, where the coolest temp I've ever experienced is probably 4 oC. Also it's summer here now. Where do I buy winter clothes in Perth?

Tips and tricks anyone? Will really appreciate it...thanks in advance.

  • rust-like stains on slate tiles?

we just moved in a new home rental. There's a huge area, particularly in the kitchen/dining room, that has slate tiles. Apparently the previous tenant(s) didn't bother maintaining the floor, so now there are patches of red-orange, rust-like stains on the tiles. Does anybody have any idea how to restore the beauty of the slate flooring?

    Much appreciate any help.
