Y/N: The Beatles are woat?
(for all you uninformed people, woat=worst of all time)
they pretty much paved the way for all the gay boy bands of the past few decades that got by on their good looks alone; except ringo, he's a ratchet. and they are not nearly as revolutionary as everyone claims to be and their fans are dumb.

**** all the rest
1 AnswerRock and Pop9 years agoHey R&P, are you bored and looking for something to do?
Then come to our super-awesome fantabulous chatroom, where we discuss and discover music and (sometimes) cause a ruckus. It's pretty great.
(pretty please, we're really bored!)
obligatory music question so there won't be grounds for deletion:
In the Aeroplane Over the Sea or On Avery Island?
2 AnswersRock and Pop9 years agoR&P: ARE YOU SCARED ?
6 AnswersRock and Pop9 years agoWhat were the last five albums you bought or put on your music device?
I asked this question a few months ago and now I'm asking it again. I'm bored.
Electric Version- New Pornographers
Carnavas- Silversun Pickups
Civilian- Wye Oak
The Sunset Tree- The Mountain Goats
Black Foliage: Animation Music Volume One- Olivia Tremor Control
BQ: Have you ever listened to any of these albums? If so, what did you think?
17 AnswersRock and Pop9 years agoAnyone else think it's hilarious when people use the "rap/hip-hop is all about drugs and sex" argument?
Specifically when they're trying to explain why rock is supposedly better. Yes, there are rap/hip-hop songs that are about drugs, sex, violence, etc. But these are also common themes in rock--where do you think the phrase "sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll" came from? It kinda amazes me how ignorant some people can be...
10 AnswersRock and Pop9 years agoAt one point does a band become mainstream?
"Katy Perry mentioned Radiohead in one of her songs. They're not indie."
-my best friend
can't argue with that logic
9 AnswersRock and Pop9 years agoSo what do you think of this year's Bonnaroo lineup?
Anyone planning on going??
I would since Manchester is only two hours away from me, but tickets are kind of (a lot) expensive. At least I'm already seeing Radiohead this year.
6 AnswersRock and Pop9 years agoCan you think of any cover songs that are more famous than the original?

That's the best one I could think of.
15 AnswersRock and Pop9 years agoDo you know of any children who were named after a song or musician?
A friend of my family named her daughter after this song.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVQN8oz_nYY
Apparently, Jude Law was named after Hey Jude (you probably guessed that one).
Would you ever consider naming one of your children after a song or musician, and what would you name them?
17 AnswersLyrics9 years agoWhat's up with bands not putting spaces in their names?
playradioplay, iwrestledabearonce, nevershoutnever, blessthefall, etc.
It looks.....stupid. I just don't understand.

9 AnswersRock and Pop9 years agoHappy birthday, David Bowie?!?!??!1!?
aka Halloween Jack, Major Tom, The Thin White Duke, Aladdin Sane, Ziggy Stardust, Thomas Jerome Newton, and so on...
I could go on some long-winded rant about how much I love him; instead, I will just ask you to leave a few of your favorite Bowie songs/pictures/interviews/whatever. Thanks!
5 AnswersRock and Pop9 years agoI got a record player for Christmas. How many hipster points do I get?
I'm just kiddin'.
How was everyone's Christmas (or whatever it is you choose to celebrate)? I hope it was fabulous!
10 AnswersRock and Pop9 years agoHow do you respond to the following statements?
Some of these would probably be considered stereotypes, but others are things I've heard/seen said on here and in real life.
1. Rap is all about bitchez and hoes and drugs and partying.
2. If you don't listen to classic rock, then you have awful music taste.
3. Metalheads are generally angry and aggressive people (this could also go for punk fans, I suppose)
4. Writing pop music does not require talent.
5. (insert genre here) is not real music.
6. Electronic music all sounds the same.
7. Insulting a musician means you're jealous of them.
8. Male Justin Bieber fans are gay.
9. Being a fan of mainstream music makes you a mindless sheep.
10. Being a fan of "indie" music makes you pretentious.
You don't have to do all of them, of course.
28 AnswersRock and Pop9 years agoIs my avatar still Nicolas Cage, or am I just delusional?
I've been trying to change it for the past fifteen minutes or so.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about then please continue on your merry way.
