  • A few questions regarding electric circuits (calculations)?

Could you provide working out too please? Thanks :D

Q1. Find the current in the 20Ω and 5Ω resistors in the following circuit:

    http://i28.lulzimg.com/22c6123200.jpg

Q2. In the circuit below, the reading on the ammeter is 3.2 A.

    http://i28.lulzimg.com/77e1d039ac.jpg

    Determine:

    a) the reading on the voltmeter

    b) the potential difference across the 40Ω resistor

    c) the current in the 40Ω resistor

    Q3. http://i28.lulzimg.com/7d19d5dcbc.jpg

    For the circuit above:

    a) Determine the total resistance.

    b) Find the reading on the ammeter.

    c) Draw a voltmeter in the correct place to measure the potential difference across the 0.3 resistor (you can just describe it)

    d) Draw an ammeter in the correct place to measure the current in the 0.3 resistor (you can, again, describe the location instead)

    e) Determine the readings on the meters mentioned in parts (c) and (d) above.

    Thanks in advance!

  • [Mathematics] Measurement Question?

Find the capacity of a tank 20 m long, shaped like a cylinder with hemispheres (diameter 4 m) on the ends.

    Cylinder volume: V = π*r^2*h

    Capacities: 1 m^3 = 1000 L

    Answer: 234570 L

I'm getting a different answer. Please provide the steps.

    Thanks!

  • Is it compulsory to have a puppy vaccinated or is it just reccommended?

I'm planning to get a puppy soon and it's my first time.

I'm still a little new to this and wasn't sure if puppies have to get vaccinated or is it just recommended.

Also what kind of vaccines a puppy needs. And how much will it cost?

If puppies are purchased in pet stores are they already vaccinated and microchipped?

  • Programs for Mass renaming files?

    Hi guys!

All I want to ask is that 'is there a program that mass rename files in this format?:'

    01.jpg

    02.jpg

    etc...

    09.jpg

    10.jpg

    11.jpg

    and etc..

I've downloaded a few, but I don't know how to use them. Could you please provide step-by-step instructions for renaming bulks in that format? By the way, I want to rename the entire file's name (i.e. e.g. 'Picture234-sdsd.jpg' to '55.jpg')

And please don't answer with just a link to download a random program. Instructions and details are preferable.

Thanks, and I apologise for my selfishness.

I have done some research and the recommended ones are:

    ------------------

    Section 6: Scale

    Scale 3: Quad

    Q9x50: Tcase Max 71c, Stepping E0, TDP 95W, Idle 16W

    Q9x50: Tcase Max 71c, Stepping C1, TDP 95W, Idle 16W

    Q9400: Tcase Max 71c, Stepping R0, TDP 95W, Idle 16W

    Q9300: Tcase Max 71c, Stepping M1, TDP 95W, Idle 16W

    Q8x00: Tcase Max 71c, Stepping R0, TDP 95W, Idle 16W

    Q8200: Tcase Max 71c, Stepping M1, TDP 95W, Idle 16W<--Q8200

    Q6x00: Tcase Max 71c, Stepping G0, TDP 95W, Idle 16W

    -Tcase/Tjunction-

    --70--/--75--75--75--75-- Hot

    --65--/--70--70--70--70-- Warm

    --60--/--65--65--65--65--Safe <--

    --25--/--30--30--30--30-- Cool

    Tcase = CPU temperature

    Tjunction = Core temperatures

    --------------

It occasionally reaches 90-98 degrees Celsius. Why is this the case?

I usually can leave it on for 15 hours without it overheating and I have had this computer for almost 2 years.

All fans are working, like they do per usual.

I'm actually using a big fan cooling down my computer (without the lid on) but it seems to have no affect.

    Any solutions guys?

Could someone also define the word overclocked? I don't really understand it. I'm horrible with computer colloquialism.

  • Copy and paste text in Adobe Photoshop (CS4)?

There's a problem that's really frustrating. Copying texts in photoshop doesn't work. When I right-click and click copy or Ctrl+C, it deselects the text layer. It happens every single time. However, sometimes I select a small portion of the text and it works; can anybody find a solution?

    Thanks.

  • Is Microsoft SQL Server 2008 necessary and what does it do?

I've been cleaning my computer and I've realised I have a lot of unnecessary programs.

    - Is Microsoft SQL Server 2008 necessary for any program associations?

    - Is it essential for the computer to run?

    - What does it do?

    - If I was to remove it, what will happen to my computer?

    - Also, is 'sqlservr.exe' needed to run on my computer?

Could you please explain it in 'simpler' terms because I'm horrible with IT terminology. Wikipedia didn't help :P
