  • How would we be affected and remember Hitler if he did not include genocide in his agenda?

If everything else happened as normal, i.e., if Hitler still attacked Poland and Russia, the Allies still initiated D-Day, etc., how would history be affected if Hitler did not include killing Jews and other, in the Nazi's words, "inferior races" in his agenda?

  • What more can I do about how I am feeling?

I am 19 and for a long time I have felt like nothing.

I felt that my life was not worth living and that I did not want to do anything.

I know I have great potential and that if I just looked for an opportunity I would be able to get better, but at this moment I have no desire to do anything.

    I feel like nothing.

I would have killed myself a long time ago if it wasn't slow or painful.

Instead I settled for becoming addicted to the internet: spending hours playing online games, mindlessly reading random articles, and watching and masturbating to porn. It started becoming really bad in college when I would stay up all night and stop going to classes.

When I did not have access to the internet, I would drown myself in fantasy novels. Reading for hours on end, burning the midnight oil, and neglecting basic bodily needs like going to the restroom or eating and drinking.

Now, I have moved back home with my family and they are helping me get back on track. I have stopped going on the internet to play games, and whatnot.

I have also began meeting friends in my hobby of Parkour again.

However, I wish to know what I can do to further facilitate my desire to live productively.

  • Does this look like a genuine person who will pay me back?

I am a college student and I am probably getting suckered out of cash.

This man, dressed roughly, came up to me and told me a story about how he had brain damage and malpractice that damaged his chest.

That day he asked for $20 to get on a bus and the BART train from Berkeley across the bridge to San Francisco or Oakland. He said he would return at a time of my choice with money to pay me back, around 3-5 thousand dollars.

this morning, he did arrive, but he didn't have money. He said also that he lost the first $20 because of a hole in his pocket. He had papers though, rough but legit looking ones. They detailed that he was a victim of police brutality and that he had suffered brain damage. He had received a grant for his troubles of 10 thousand dollars or some amount.

I gave him another $20 so he could take the bus and get a ride. That way he would not have to risk getting hit by a car on the street and dying.

He promised that he would come again tommorrow at 3pm (I designated the time).

What I wish to know is, is he legitimite? Will I actually get money back? He promised he would return again tommorrow, but I am not sure whether he will actually pay me back since he didn't bring the money today (although his attorney did say something about the money arriving in the person's account this morning).

What do you think? Do you think I will actually get paid back, or do you think he'll come and ask for more money?

  • How do I deal with being a bigot towards bigots?

I will lay it flat for you: I hate bigots. I think they should burn or at least become more tolerant somehow. They should not think to irrationally beat up or shout at people who happen to fall under a certain group. How would they like it if they were subjected to that kind of treatment.

Ok, now that that's out of they way...

How do I make myself less bigoted? Most people would look at the above quote and see it as ironic.

Me, I think I am being a hypocrite.

    What do I do?

  • How to deal with burnout with midterms coming up?

    Hello,

I am in college right now and I am afraid that I have burned out.

I was working on an essay for all of last week. I ditched classes and everything to work on this essay.

Now I learned that I have a midterm this following week (on friday) and I have done barely anything this weekend to study besides do homework and stuff.

I also have another midterm in another two weeks (time to study I guess, but I have a midterm this week to).

What can I do? I am burned out from that essay I worked on for all of last week and I want a good grade on this midterm. plus I actually need to know the material from the classes I ditched (though I can get notes for them), and I am not confident about the other midterm.

  • Missed opportunity for love?

I don't know if this really is a missed opportunity, but I just want to ask.

I was out with a few friends, and I saw this girl. She was looking at me and smiling, yet not saying anything.

It was a lot like a phone commercial that involved some another woman looking at a guy from out of a train window, and that guy switched trains, sat next to her, and eventually they had a kid who became president.

Unfortunately, I was not brave or energetic enough to go to the person and say hi...

Was this really a missed opportunity? Am I just being a hopeless romantic? If I did miss the opportunity what should I do next?

  • I have this problem (men only please)?

I'm a 17 year old guy and I've stopped masturbating for three days now and my mood has (to use a cliche) taken a turn for the worse.

I feel as though all my motivation has disappeared and like there is nothing really worth living for. No I have not become suicidal (yet), but it's hard to make myself move like an animated human being.

I've have not had too many thoughts concerning sex, interestingly enough, and strangely, the opposite has occurred. I have practically no desire for it. I still enjoy looking at breasts and stuff, but for some reason I can't muster up an erection unless i really look at porn. My libido has completely disappeared.

I don't know what to do and i just want to know what's going on. Maybe i'm addicted to masturbating, maybe i'm secretly a hedonist with no other life goal, I don't know. I just want to know what the hell is going on with me!!!

  • Why did i suddenly get the urge to eat after masturbating?

It happened after I had one of my three-day "breaks" from masturbating daily.

I had ejaculated when suddenly it felt like the bottom dropped out of my stomach.

And when i was eating, i didn't get full, so i could continue eating. Like I couldn't get full.

Note: this feeling is NOT similar to the feeling one would have after repulsing a disease.

  • Why do certain situations bring out the best and worst in people?

Why is it that ordinary people suddenly become heroes in some disastrous situations and other people become villains in other situations?

    (and just for myself)

Why do i sometimes become more efficient and focused after talking about having "a job to do"? How is it that i can become like this after many moments of self-pity and resignation?

    How is this possible?

  • Can HIV/AIDS be passed on through Mosquitoes?

Ok, it's like this. Mosquitoes drink blood, and thus this provides a stable environment for viruses and bacteria to thrive correct? So, does this mean that mosquitoes can transmit HIV through carrying the virus in their bodies and passing them on to the next person they penetrate?
