I bid and won a Maxi Cosi infant car seat in a color that I've been searching everywhere for. When the item arrived last night I opened the box and it was not the color specified, it was a discontinued model that has been selling for the rate that I won it for $100. The color that I was looking for is valued at $170 and is in high demand. I'm not certain if truly a mistake, or if this was an attempt to get rid of the item by the seller in deceptive practices. When I called they told me that they could either discount it, or I could return it by taking it back to FedEx, I would have to pay for shipping, and they would to reimburse me the cost of the product and shipping both ways. I told them that I'm pregnant and that I wouldn't be lugging a massive 30+ lb box to FedEx for their mistake. Customer service was rude and snippy and finally told me that they could have the item picked up from my residence.

I'm guessing I should wait to leave feedback until I have my money in my account, but based on said service and situation, I'm very unhappy, especially since I had some gift cards and coupons that I could have used toward another car seat that have since expired. I also really do feel that they were trying to pull one over on the winning bidder by listed the highly sought after item and sending the one that's being clearenced out everywhere.

Would you note this on feedback or just say that the matter was cleared up?

I'm looking for a christening gown for my infant daughter and don't like much of what I see out there. It's just too...much. Way over the top and too busy. I like more understated things. That said I'm torn between these two. One is a more traditional long gown and the other is a sweet and modest one that seems slightly more informal to me -- which isn't necessarily a horrible thing since it will likely be closest family.

Asking because a man said this to me, and it's got me slightly paranoid as I don't think I'm overt in my sexuality. I'm certain he thought it was a compliment and didn't think anything of it. So...did he just call me a slut?

So I have an older Viper alarm on my car and I'm having trouble getting into my vehicle. (Squared two button remote)The remote lights up when depressed and the red light on my car is lit, but nothing happens. The doors remain locked and to make things even more awesome, my buddy was doing something on my vehicle and accidentally pulled the valet switch off entirely. Pretty cool, huh? So I'm slightly screwed. What can I do to drive my car?

So I'm trying to be conscientious of everyone and their budgets as I register for our first baby. I am currently listed for 2 (Target and Babies R Us) in hope that it makes for more convenient shopping for everyone involved. I'm having 3 showers (his family, my friends since I don't have family in the states, and work). We make more than his family, or mine and I want everyone to feel comfortable making purchases. I also don’t want anyone to feel as if I’m asking for too much. It’s a delicate topic. SO… Is this a good amount of product or too much? Is it realistic? Too expensive? If you were a guest coming to one of the showers would you feel as if I were being too greedy?

Just curious because it's been 2 weeks since my Quad Screen and about a week since my ultrasound. Do I have to wait until my next appointment for results, or do I call/wait to be called by the office? I just want to make certain that the baby is healthy of course, and having no results yet makes me nervous. What did you guys do? Thanks in advance for your help!

As luck would have it, I was leaving my last job when I found out I was pregnant. I ended up taking advantage of my insurance and went to an 8th week visit and a 10th week ultrasound. Since I wasn't in any high risk categories, I then waited for insurance with my new employer. I made an appointment with an ob gyn and as you ladies know, it's never an immediate thing. So I have two more weeks to go until I get to my 2nd real appointment, at which point I'll be 22 weeks.

Will the doctor likely back track and do any testing that might have been required in the past months, and can I expect an ultrasound as customary with 5 month appointments? Is this something I have to request or will it be implied.

I anticipated a little bit of...anxiety? Friction?...due to the fact that I've only worked for my current employer for about 2 months and I'm at 20 weeks (-ish? Can never get it straight...). I told HR and my boss, and it went amazingly well. They were excited and genuinely nice. Now I'm not sure how to tell everyone else. Should it be more formal or do I tell everyone individually? Do I even say anything at all? I don't want to hide it, but I'm not good at going out and initiating news like this. Thanks for any comments or suggestions...
