  • teenage girl with hemorrhoids?

Hi, I'm 17 and I think I've been getting hemorrhoids. I don't experience any pain or itchiness, but there is blood when I have bowel movements sometimes, especially if the movements are hard/firm. One time there was so much blood on the toilet paper that I thought my period started. I don't really know what a normal anus is supposed to feel like, so I'm not sure if it's swollen or not? I do ride a stationary bike quite often and the seat is hard even though I put a pillow on it, could that be the problem?

If you do think it's hemorrhoids, any advice? I'm not going to stop riding the bike because it's my only effective way of a good exercise, so should I just use Preparation H every single day to keep them at bay?

  • My kitten has green diarrhea?

I did switch her cat food from a cheap one to 9lives, but I started to mix them before completely switching over. She does have worms, but I gave her wormer about 5 days ago and will give her the second dose in 5 more days. Could it just be the new food and the worms? She's fine otherwise, drinks and eats well, plays, purrs. She breathes quickly but I read that that's normal for kittens and her resting respiratory rate is about 40, which I also read was normal. What do you think?

  • I brought in a stray kitten from outside 6 days ago. Does her stool show that something may be wrong or is it normal?

I brought in a stray kitten nearly a week ago. She was wild, so of course it's taking some time to get her used to everything and she's been pretty stressed. Before you jump on me, I took her away from the outside & the wild because we have a lot of neighbors who let their huge dogs run around freely, and they've been known to go after neighborhood cats. I didn't want her to get killed.

Her stool has been runny & the other day there was some blood in it. I haven't been able to see if there has been any more blood because she uses the litter box & covers it up. My brother has had many cats & said that since she was stray and is getting used to cat food, and because of how stressed she is in a new environment, that could be the cause of it. Could it be? She acts fine otherwise, eats really well, drinks well, she's even been playing with a fuzzy little cat toy. She seems fine besides the blood thing. She doesn't get sick or anything. She does breathe a little quickly, but I'm wondering if maybe that's just normal or if it's because she's scared sometimes? Does anyone know?

I know I should probably take her to the vet just to be safe, but we just don't have the money to. Taking her to the pound would be no help because they don't take their animals to the vet and they have such bad living conditions for their animals. All I'm asking is if the blood could be because of the stress and getting used to cat food, and if the kind of quick breathing is normal or because she's scared.

    Few more math questions?

Sorry for the bother but I just can't figure these out. I've answered some of them but I'm not sure if they're right. If you do answer, can you explain how you did it?

    B) about 737,954

    C) about 1,007,042

    D) about 1,701,000

I divided the numbers in the graph and found they were multiplying by 1.4 and so I did that until week 22 but my answer wasn't listed.

  • How much can I raise my GPA in two years?

I screwed around freshman and sophomore year. I'm a junior now and my GPA as of last year was a 2.2. If I get A's and B's this year and next, how much would it raise to by the time I graduated?

(Please don't say "hah you deserve not getting to go to a good college" or anything like that. I'm a kid who never intended to go to college until late in the high school game. I made a mistake, like most teenagers. Be polite please.)

  • Momma dog doesn't want to feed her pups?

So my dog had puppies and they'll be 5 weeks old tomorrow. But for the past few days, momma dog hasn't been wanting to let them nurse. We have to practically force her to stay laying down to feed them. She had mastitis at the beginning after they were born, but her breasts feel completely fine now. She eats, drinks and everything else well. We feed her cottage cheese twice a day as recommended by the vet. We've started to give the pups softened puppy food now.

So why isn't she wanting to feed? Is she just getting tired of them? Or perhaps their teeth hurt her too much?

  • Should I squeeze the pus out of my dog's infected teat?

I took my momma dog to the vet today and was told she has the start of mastitis/milk fever/eclampsia (why are there so many different names for one condition) and when I got home, I was checking to see if her teats were still producing milk like told to do by my vet, and discovered yellow sticky pus coming from the teat she said to watch for. I've been applying warm compresses like instructed, and I've also been squeezing the pus out. Should I continue doing that or will it only make the infection worse somehow? I guessed that it would help get the infection out, but I don't know.

  • Could I have an anxiety disorder? Are these panic attacks?

I've always been a worrier, over-thinker and basically just anxious about everything. And I'm an extremely creative/imaginative person, so I come up with ridiculous scenarios in my head that would probably NEVER happen, but I still worry about them for no reason. Any time when I'm in public and hear people laugh or whisper, I automatically think that it's negatively pointed towards me. I think if I don't say be careful to my dad or mom when they leave to go somewhere, that something horrible is going to happen to them. I can't stand to be in a fight with someone for more than a few hours or I'm afraid something is going to happen to one of us, such as dying, and there will always be that regret of not making up with them.

I don't have panic attacks, at least not the kind that everyone talks about where you can't catch your breath and your chest gets all tight. But I do have times where I get this feeling of impending doom, where I just /know/ something bad is going to happen. My throat begins to feel kind of cold and I become very aware of my heartbeat and breathing, though I can still take deep breaths. I just start to feel physically sick, every time I get worried. Could that be a type of panic attack?

I don't want to have an anxiety disorder, and I really just don't want to worry as much as I do. But I feel like if I'm anxious about stuff, thinking of the worst, somehow I can be more prepared for it or even prevent the bad things from happening. It's hard to explain.

  • I have some questions about my nursing dog. Is the breathing normal? Her firm abdomen? Her temperature? Behavior?

First off, I am 16, so please don't rant at me for irresponsible breeding and not being able to take her to the vet. I cannot afford to do that because I don't have a job, and my dad won't because of financial issues. My brothers were too stubborn to not get their male dogs fixed, so please only nice answers.

She gave birth to 6 healthy puppies the night of July 3rd into the 4th over the span of three hours. Today is day 5 of the puppies' lives. All of them lived and are eating perfectly well. For the first few days, momma dog did not have much of an appetite, but she would drink perfectly well. She would however pant a lot and when she wasn't panting, she'd breathe quick and shallow. She's not panting anymore, but her breathing is still heavy, quick and shallow. I fill her food bowl up all the way every meal time (I soak dry food in water to make it soft and then mix in half a can). She's drinking fine, going to the bathroom fine and running around and barking when she's outside. But when she comes in she is very calm and just wants to lay there. Her discharge is the normal brownish color, and there's not excessive amounts. She's caring for her babies very well and is super protective when it comes to the other animals getting near. She's had diarrhea, but I read that eating the placenta causes that. I'm not 100% sure if all the placenta came out or not, because she wouldn't let me get that close and was very focused on licking herself (continued in comments)
