  • Believers and atheists: How do you convince an agnostic?

Most people believe in the existence of one or more gods, and some people believe there are no gods. I have seen no evidence to convince me one way or another; and in the absence of such evidence, I consider religious (or atheistic) proselytizing to have about as much meaning as secular advertising.

In light of all of the competition, how would you try to convince me that your concept of a creator is the correct one?

  • Intolerance of the intolerant: Hypocrisy or not?

People who believe we should accept cultural diversity (race, religion, sexual orientation, etc.) and not discriminate are often accused of hypocrisy by those who feel that certain groups are immoral or inferior: The accusers complain that they themselves are victims of intolerance, as in "How come you don't accept *our* cultural identity? You're all a bunch of hypocrites!"

Are the cultural-diversity supporters hypocrites? Are their opponents hypocrites? Both? Neither? I'll choose the best answer in a couple of days.

  • Deniers: What would it take to convince you?

A few days ago, someone asked what it would take for "believers" in global warming to change their minds, and I responded with a couple of examples. I thought it was an excellent question, one requiring an answer based on science and not politics, and I'm curious to see some similar answers from the opposing point of view.

I am therefore asking the "deniers" the complementary question: What evidence would you have to see in order to accept that you are wrong and that human activity is indeed warming the planet? I'll choose the best answer in a couple of days.
