I have an old nikon fe and have been trying to get it working, but when I tried to take a picture the shutter was not open nor would open, I took the lense off and saw the foam arounnd the mirror had decayed and that it was sticking, I researched that could be the problem so I covered the sticky are with cello tape on the mirror and the area above (obviously not covering the mirror) then I realized there is a metal switch in the left that moves up when then mirror comes down, and the only way to keep the mirror down was to manually push this lever up, then when the lens is on you can see through, but when I press the 'take' button it goes back up but not back down.

Could anyone shed any light on what is wrong with it and whether it can be fixed?

I am just wondering as i cant seem to find a job that isn't a full midwife, does such a specific job exist?

About 7 weeks ago I was feeling a bit different, my stomach seemed to be quite bloated, and I had a few other symptoms which I can't exactly remember now but I looked them up online and they seemed to similar to pregnancy symptoms at 4-5 weeks pregnant, I was really worried and took 3 pregnancy tests, all cheaper rather than brand names and they came back negative.

after that I calmed down a bit, I'm on the pill and have still been getting a withdrawal bleed every month, however they have been all over the place, last months it started two days early, this month gone it started three days late, and i recently read you can still get a withdrawal bleed even if you're pregnant.

So any way as time past my stomach started to change, I was thinking maybe it was me getting fatter (I'm a little bit podge as it is) what was happening was that the area generally above my belly button area seemed to be getting larger, as well as the (roll) underneath the belly button.

I never really have had morning sickness, although I've woken up and felt a bit queasy some mornings, and I noticed blue veins on my breasts being more prominent but again I know that the pill can do that, other than that I have not had many signs, then yesterday morning I woke up and the area above my pubic hair line was rock hard which completely took me off guard, I thought it must be my bladder, went to the loo but it was still there, it was there all day and is still here this morning, I looked up my symptoms online and could find nothing about bladders, but instead women talking about their uteruses moving up, they talked about a ridge, which I looked for, which I THINK I can feel but I'm not 100%, what's more, they said this happens from 12 to 14 weeks and I think if I was pregnant I would be about 13 weeks.

But yesterday I took another pregnancy test, again drugstore brand and it came up negative, and I took another this morning which was also negative. What does this mean, I'd not know what I should do, any similar experiences or guidance would be appreciated!

Over the last 2 or 3 weeks I've noticed my stomach getting bigger, and more recently my boobs also seem to be getting bigger, I was a stone heavier last year but my stomach is the same size now as it was then even though it had been much smaller up till now.

I also took a pregnancy test today which came up negative, as my nipples also seemed to be a bit more sensitive than usual, and I seemed more tired and peeing more frequently so I was actually surprised it came up negative, as i could explain the larger stomach off as bloating, but now I'm not sure what is going on.

I have also been on the combined contraceptive pill for 4 and a half months, but as this is a recent development I'm not sure it is related, if anyone could shed light on this it would be much appreciated!

I really just need someone else's perspective on this as I'm not sure whether I am simply being selfish or there is something else to it.

Last year my boyfriend and I (both at different colleges at the time and before we were in a relationship) didnt do well in our exams and subsequently both decided to retake the year. We're now at the same college, the problem is that since January he has been working and revising towards his AS exams, which is pretty impressive, but it also meant that if ever he stayed over he had to go home very early the next morning to revise, which was a bit annoying but I got used to it. In the last two months though things have been really hard.

For the last two months he's been studying continuously, tending to block me out, and being vacant, he says he still loves me and I don't doubt it, the problem is that he won't even spent more than 3 minutes talking to me on the phone or stay 5 minutes after an exam to talk about it before he's off home to do more revision.

I kind of feel a bit like a toy thats got sat on the shelf, and although I understand both our exams are important I still find it hard that he won't donate ANY time towards me, please let me know if I'm wrong here, because. Could be, I'd just like someone elses perspective, thanks x

I'm 18 and my sister is 16, almost 17 and we've been fighting with each other every since we could talk more or less. My sister is my mothers favourite, and she's even admitted that to a certain degree, and my mother and I have a rocky relationship, so if my sister and I ever argued (or still argue) she will always aim scolding at me first even if she doesn't know what the situation is. I thought that our relationship might improve as we got older, but he problem with my sister is that she is very over sensitive, she gets upset easily by not very big things, and the other problem is she is a record grudge holder and will hold on to any arguments and thing I've ever done to her and uses it to fuel other arguements about how horrible I am, where as I usually forgive and forget and block out the bad arguements even if I try and remember them. So when it comes to defending my self in these arguements all I can say is 'stop always bringing up the past' but that never does any good. My sister and I barely talk, if we do it'll start another arguement. Up until about 2 weeks ago before we went on holiday together and shared a room for two weeks I thought that one day she would just get over all the grudges and we'd be able to get on like my friends and their siblings, but afterwards I actually realise how passionately she hates me, and I don't think we will ever have a relationship.

My sister and i have not spoken in about 3 days, not because of an arguemtne, we just havent spoken, today my sister was doing artwork on The kitchen table and I went to the fridge and sow some chocolate brownie things she'd made, I asked her if I could have one, she said no, I asked why and she said because you're a horrible person.

She doesnt forgive, I don't know what to do, she just makes me so angry, if someone has a similar experience, please share what you did to help, thank you.

My boyfriend and I had sex about 2 and a half weeks ago we used a condom but I don't remember whether I checked well there were any tears or anything, I had this nagging worry in my head that I could be pregnant about a week after we did it, I haven't had any spotting, or headaches, I felt a little ill one morning, but I didn't throw up, and now since about thursday i've been getting cramps around my abdomen and tender boobs, although my nipples feel normal, i'm just worried because my period is usually pretty regular but these pains are about 4 days earlier than normal, I have had early periods before, but i'm really concerned this time, any contributions would be most appreciated

My Boyfriend and I have been sexually active for about two months now, I'm 18 and he's my first boyfriend. Today he suggested that as we're probably going to be doing this a lot it would be worth using another kind of contraception as well as just condoms but i'm worried about the side effects and how it will affect me biologically, if could someone with experience of the pill help me out it would much appreciated.

I have recently been selling my parents records and found that the beatles white album can fetch quite a lot depending on the serial number and the condition, my record has the number 0313857 and has all the posters and inner sleeves inside, could anyone give me an idea of how much it would go for?

I have a sony ericsson xperia x10 mini, I recently added a number onto my phone and texted that number for the first time two days ago, it sent fine and i received a text fine, but then today when i tried to reply to the text I received it would not send, I tried again, i re-wrote the message, i turned my phone on and off, I took the sim out and put it back in, but it still would not work. I can send texts to anyone else and it will send but just not to this one person, would could be causing this? please help me

My friend has been telling me she is getting strange texts from a blocked number, is it really possible to text with a blocked number as I thought it wasn't, also, is there any way of finding out who's sending the texts if she is receiving blocked text as she says she is?

I'm so stuck! Any advice would be very appreciated!

So right now I'm at a very big 2000 people sixth form college which I hate, I've been there for a year now, and it hasn't got any better, I didn't know anyone when I arrived and was too shy to infiltrate anyone's friendship groups (most people came with their friends). Because of this and some other reasons i'm really not happy where I am so I am definitely moving colleges next year but I have two options and I have no idea what to do

The first choice is my old school, it's much smaller than where i am now, i think the sixth form has about 30 people in, and I know a good lot of the people there, the problem is I think the dynamics may have changed a lot since I left, people are different, and new people have come and new friendships made, I just feel like I won't really fit in there, I've kept in contact with a few people, and I was quite well liked when I was there, I just don't know if now it would be too weird and different for me to go back there.

The second choice is a different sixth form college, it's also smaller and I don't know too much about it, it seems nice enough, and also my best friend from my old school who also moved to a college may be going there, but it's also expensive (yes its a private college, so is my old school, please don't judge me) whereas my old school is less expensive, and i'm not sure whether it's a little too prestigious, they'll probably care about my grades (which aren't great), where as my old school will likely take me back Straight away, I just don't know what to do, any advice would be completely appreciated

Recently, although i'm not sure for how long this has been going on, but at least 6 months, i've been itchy everywhere, all the time, its worst when i'm wearing jeans at college, I have to scratch the itch with a pen, who know what I look like i'm doing! But I get it everywhere else too, it doesn't leave any marks and I don't have any skin condition, and I don't think i'm allergic to anything, it's just getting really irritating now, and I would really appreciate if anyone could shed some light on what this might be.

Recently, this past week, some really odd things have been happening to me, I've had paranormal things happen in my house before but they are usually very spaced out and not so obvious, but this past week, one or two things have been happening everyday, its started on wednesday at 12.00 am or so, where the manual radio with (quite resistant) dial turned itself on and started tuning through all the radio station and then turning the dial back to off again, then i felt like i was being watched in my room, and i've heard noises like a cat is walking around the room when my cat is next to me asleep, and then a box i use to prop my door open so my cat can come in and out moved so that it was vertical against the wall, I tried and I found it was impossible to move it from lying on the ground to vertical on the wall by just kicking it or slamming the door too hard, then on friday I came home from college for an hour or so and watched some tv and I SPECIFICALLY remember turning it off but when i come home again at six it was on just showing white noise, then today I came home and the lights in my bedroom were on, and I know for sure I didn't switch them on, and no one else has ben in the house but me, and now, this evening I was sitting in my parents room watching tv, and i felt this thump against the bed like my dog had layed down next to the bed and had sort of jolted it but there was nothing there and then my other dog who was on the bed with me started breathing heavily and following something with his eyes, even when i called his name he was reluctant to turn away, I told it to go away, but the thing i'm scared of is that it seems to be following me everywhere i go in my house, i thought it might just stay in my room and the room i watch tv in, because nothing has ever happened in my parents bedroom, but now i'm worried it's doing it specifically to me, nothing's happened to any one in my house but me!

Last night I was was standing outside my bedroom at about 12 o clock, just about to switch the light off to go to bed, when (and this may or may not have anything to do with it) I noticed that a sticker i'd stuck on the door of my sister's room months ago that i'd got out of a magazine was actually a pentagram the wrong way up (as in it looked like a normal star) and i'd just recently watched a video on youtube about if you have pentagrams and gargoyles and things around the house you are welcoming bad things in. Any way the second I noticed that I heard the fridge beeping downstairs, that noise it makes when you leave it open, although it does just sometimes beep out of the blue and i was just going to go down there to see if it was open, when the manual radio started playing in the bathroom along the hall. The radio is a small battery powered shower radio, and you have to twidle the dials in oder to switch it on. The radio sounded like it was sweeping through all the channels, not that fast but not too slow either. I just freaked out and ran into my room, and then in the morning i asked my sister where the dial had been on the radio that morning (she'd used the radio that morning) and she said it was on a radio station that i hadn't set it to, infact it was one right at the point where the dial can't go any further. Do you think this could be something paranormal? Other strange things have happened in my house, In fact I saw a ghost when I was six, what do yuo think this could be?

We've had our unneutered havanese male dog Harley for about 3 and a half years now, since he was a puppy, and we also have a flatcoat/labrador mix female spayed dog, Willow who is almost 7 and we also look after her brother while his owners are at work, who is neutered and is also 7 called Flash. Recently out of the blue Harley has started constantly sniffing flash and 'air humping' (i think thats because he can't reach) it seems to be pretty constant, I don't see how it could be a dominance thing as they've known each other as long as we've had Harley. Is it possible that Flash is giving out female hormones that Harley is attracted to? He is not at all attracted to Willow.

I dyed my hair bright red a while ago, and now the roots are starting to show through, how can I re-dye the roots? will I have to bleach them and leave them for a week or so (looking a bit strange with red hair and blonde roots) or can I do bleach it and then dye it red on the same day?

Almost exactly two years ago I found out my mother was having and affair, I picked up the house phone the same time she did, but she didn't realise I was on the line, I was going to hang up until the man she was talking to started asking really strange questions like 'where are you, what does your bedroom look like what colour are your curtains' etc and then went on asking the weird questions that got more personal until I started to become really suspicious, in the heat of the moment i went down to my dad and told him that my mum was talking to someone funny on the phone, he didn't seem particularly bothered but asked me to try and find out who it was, so i picked up the phone again and they were talking about meeting up and my mother saying how she would try and get away. I put the phone down and went to the outside of he bedroom door, she heard me and pretended to be talking her elderly friend. But at some point during all this she realised i'd figured it out, and called me to her room. She told me it had been going on for a long time, she told me that part of the reason is that my father is impotent and that was part of the reason why, and she told me to never ever tell him..or anyone. I asked her to stop, she said she'll have to now, after wards I went down to my dad and told him that i had been wrong about that person on the phone, i'd got it wrong. Every thing settled down after that I didn't want to ever mention it, because it was too awkward and I tried to take her word for it she'd ended it. But then recently I was going to a concert, and i wanted to record videos with good sound Quality because neither my phone or camera have good sound quality for things like concerts, only my old phone which is now my mum's phone, so i took it with me, she seemed okay with that, but when i went to send a text from it to my sister i saw a name in her inbox that i didn't recognise, it was a girl's name, Louise, and i couldn't think of a louise she knew, I opened it and found these explicit texts, they almost made me physically sick, and things like 'great seeing you last night', and 'come and see me when i'm alone at work' and some other sick sexual innuendos, but I also now know that they see a lot more of each other than i ever thought they did, and whats more my mother goes out 3-4 evenings a week to play card games (bridge) and what disturbs me is this guy, i've discovered from the texts, plays bridge with her, so when we think she's out at bridge she's really with this man. I've tried to act nomally around her again but its really getting to me, and now my sister is the same age i was when I found out (15) and i'm wondering whether she deserves to know or whether it would be crueller to my father if he's the only one in the family with out a clue, what should i do?
