Evolution of God
When will religion just admit they want nothing to with fact based epistemologies like science?
That making claims that make them feel good is what they prefer and discovering the true roots and causations of life and the universe is not a priority for them. When will religion who claim it is a sin to lie finally admit they want nothing to do with epistemologies that have been proven to work instead of lying and saying that science "proves god" and "my book is flawless, science is a conspiracy against god"? That is the equivalent of saying that facts and reality are conspiracies against god.
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoDoes it upset christians that atheists and gays have the same exact rituals for getting married than christians do?
Kind of takes out the marriage between god and the 2 people if atheists and homosexuals are doing it too. I would think if you wanted god to sanctify your marriage you would develop a different way of getting married.
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoDo christians realize that if people rely on faith that christianity, scientology, astrology, jediism, islam are all equally as credible?
Don't act like you have some more to offer (like evidence) because you don't. Noahs Ark, Tower of Babel, etc... have all been disproven. There is no reason to accept the word of the rest of the bible when we already know that the writers were willing to put lies and false stories inside it. Besides if it were the real word of god then people would not have 10,000+ versions and self-appealing translations of it's writings.
16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoWhy are creationists so against the big bang theory?
We all know creationists accept science when they can mold or retranslate the bible to fit science or in the very rare case that the bible did get it right. Why don't creationists claim that "of course their was a big bang, we would expect a massive bang when god spoke all matter into existence". Why do they completely dismiss it when the bibles words could very easily be molded into the same thing the theory suggests?
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoIf a christian decides to be recruited by a gang of gay people cause he wants to know what another man tastes like does that mean all gays?
choose to be gay? Do all gay recruits squeal their first time and get the nickname "pig"?
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoI'm seeing a lot of atheistic ad hominems tonight but why no logical reasoning or evidence for god, does nobody have any?
I would think if christians had any good reason in believing in jesus or santa god that they would put them up instead of attacking what makes me conclude, a completely rational position of atheism. Don't christians want to shut us up for good or do they just only have fallacious arguments that does not hold any value?
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoThe scary part about what literal bible interpreting christians say is not what they say but that they seem to actually believe it is true?
It is scary to think that civilized, evolved people have discovered so much through science and other forms of knowledge and that there is still people who believe in these old books written by people who were attempting to answer a lot of the same questions we have figured out since and it seems that just because they put some razzle dazzle magical wizards and his zombie son into the mix and add in a few sprinkles of eternal torture and now all of a sudden it is supposed to have some kind of credence to the claims made by the authors. It's disturbing that people in this day in age still have the same superstitious thoughts and beliefs that people also had when bronze was just being made. If you thinking I'm ranting on or just plain wrong please give me some factual information about your reasons for believing these things are true in Old and New Testament. It just seems to me that some people are so worried about being tortured by this evil devil in a pit of fire forever that you will claim that you believe, you believe, just don't torture me , I believe. This should not the basis of believing something.
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoAny discoveries this week in creation science?
When will creation science be as respected as real science?
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoHow can people who believe in god still consider him supernatural?
The claims are that god has always been here and there was nothing else around besides a god. That would qualify him as the most natural thing ever, something that doesn't need a creation. And in turn, that would make Earth, humans, plants, the universe and everything else in existence, supernatural since it was not made naturally and it had to be created by a deity. So why don't religious people say we are the supernatural and god is the only natural thing instead of the normal "god is supernatural and unknowing" as a lot of theists claim?
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoWhy is it so important that we believe in a god (from a religious standpoint) while in our very limited time here on earth?
If god is going to make an eternal afterlife, then we have an eternity to know him and half a relationship, why is he so hung up on us knowing (more like having faith that he exists) about him in the 60-100 years that we are on earth. And if he wants this short relationship with us before the "real" relationship starts in the afterlife then why does he hide himself so efficiently and allow a 'devil" to basically have free range to confuse us in every possible way that he wants to. And he still really expects us to have faith that he exists? That's ludacris and insulting on a rational person intelligence.
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoWhy do creationists act like they are the leading experts of biology and come up with all these reason why evolution is impossible?
When in reality it's obvious they don't know $hit about what they are plagiarizing or mouth mimicking from other dumb@sses like k. and e. hovind, ray cumfart, and other equally brain dead idiots that don't even know that Type II B receptor proteins like tyrosine phosphatases (RPTPs) have both adhesive & catalytic properties that produces a homophilic trans dimer that is unyielding and has a dimensionality that exactly match the cadherin-mediated junctions of intercellular distances.
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoDoes god have the power to end world hunger but instead decides to watch me masturbate?
Billions of people don't see anything wrong with this and worse this is what they worship, praise, and call perfect. You wonder where I get my morals from, thankfully it's not from some pervert, made-up god(s).
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoChristians do you realize that if you condemn gay marriage you are going against god?
This isn't the old testament that you feel obligated to ignore but the new testament, absolutely with out a doubt inspired by the word of jesusgod.
22 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoCan someone explain to me why the clause about equal rights for all in the 14th amendment wasn't intended for homosexuals?
Conservative bigots keep saying that it doesn't include homosexuals but I can not find anything in the constitution that explicatively goes against the equal rights of homosexuals. You can say that homosexuality is a life-style choice but then so is heterosexuality but anyone who really understands knows that most people are born with desires for love and reproduction some people are not born with these desires and some other are born with the desires of the same sex and some born desiring both sexes. You can't choose what you desire anymore than you can choose what gender or race you are.
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoIs it ok to offend peoples beliefs, even if they're deeply held religious beliefs?
I personally think yes. But it is certainly not acceptable to believe that you have rights and privileges over someone because you believe your imaginary friend is against something that you also believe he created and love anyways, yeah I'm talking about homosexuals.
