My 2 yr old momma cat Kinker has a vet appt at 10:30 am in the morning first of all, before any *** holes go harping on take her to the vet get her spayed blah blah blah...I was just wondering how I would be able to tell if she has mastitis or if she got bitten by a brown recluse. If any one has any suggestions I would be very greatful. Also, should i put peroxide on the area or leave it be.

  • Need helping with my nursing momma cat...ASAP!!! PLEASE!!!?

This is Kinker's (momma cat) third litter of kittens. Normally she has only 4, but this time she had 6. She was doing a wonderful job with her babies like always, but yesterday she disappeared for a little while (which isn't out of the ordinary for her) and when she came back she was walking very very slowly. She came straight to the bedroom (where her food and water is) and she sniffed her food, but wouldn't eat, and she drank some water. Then she disappeared again, but she is going somewhere in the house. A couple hours later her babies began to cry and we were unable to locate her, then she all of a sudden appeared in the bedroom only drinking water and I picked her up and took her to her babies (which normally I dont have to do, because every time her babies cry she always takes off toward them like a bat out of hell. She is a very protective mommy) When I took her in there she would let them come to her but when they would reach the nipples near her back legs she would jump up and very slowly move away. Well still today she is acting the same way hiding and only coming out to drink water. She looks extremely sick, her milk is filling up, no sores on her nipples, slightly warm (but im guessing its cause of the milk production), and she is only drinking water and not eating any food, she is using the bathroom normally, and there is no signs of worms. Is there any body who might know what could be wrong with my baby, she has been with us for nearly 2 years and she normally always sleeps with us at night or with her babies, and now she isnt. Before any smart asses decide to start harping about responsiblity and vets blah blah blah, not everyone has that kind of money, but have really big hearts and cant stand to see an animal suffer (which is what the case was when we took Kinker in). Please any advice and help would be greatful. Since her illness began we have started feeding the kittens (3 weeks old) can food, and milk replacement. Also, should we apply warm or cold compresses to her nipples to help dry up the milk and relieve the discomfort for the milk production.

  • Guppy Fry Curved Spine, Moma guppy swimming head down tail up?

3 and 1/2 weeks ago my blonde female guppy gave birth to 15 fry a week later the moma began to swim head down tail up, she eats fine. I did some research and learned I should remove her from the tank, place her in doctoring tank and add salt and fast her for a couple days and then feed her a frozen pea (after thawed) everyday I clean the tank and every 3rd day I add salt. I am now only feeding her once a day, but she is not showing any improvement. Could this be a deformitiy? Also one of her fry, 3 weeks after birth, developed a curved spine. What is the cause of this? Also I read that it might be best to cull it. Should I do that? Please help me make the right decision. Thanks.

  • pregnant canine in labor?

at 3:30 pm yesterday her temp was 98.5, 3 am this morning 98.4, 6 am 98.3. She has moved around with very little pacing, while lying down she will wimper at times, she is also panting and shivering at times. I am concerned something is wrong, around 10 am this morning she sat on her butt for 2 hrs without moving, but when i would approach her she would like my cheek or my hands, at 1 pm she got up and circled a couple times and then layed down. Can anyone help me? I am afraid something is wrong and all vets around here are closed at this time. Nearest emergency vet is far away. If anyone can let me know about how long it will take for her to deliver so I can sleep and quit stressing I would be all so greatful. Thanks for any helpful suggestions.

  • do i have a female and male tetra, and why does one stay in the bottom corner?

i have two neon tetras. One is more fatter than the other and stays isolated in the bottom corner of the tank where the other is slimmer and swims around the tank. The fatter tetra only comes out when i feed them and when the light is off. if the fatter one is a female could she be pregnant is that why she is staying isolated? Thanks looking forward to some helpful suggestions.

  • My female is cat is a year old, her actions are changing. Can anyone tell me why.?

My 1 yr. old feline is doing several strange things. She is meowing loudly and constantly all through the night and day. She runs around the house clinching onto furniture. She will jump on the arm of the couch if im laying down and starts rubbing her nose and cheeks against my head, then she will start pawing my hair then comes the licking. Sometimes after she does these steps she will like dig her claws into my head as if it was a toy. LOL! Sometimes she acts as if she has been dipping in someones stash, lol. So why does she meow like she does and why does she just out of the blue start darting across the house and playing with my head?
