Let's say that God exists. What reason do you have to believe that he is anything like your religion tells you he is? Do you believe your religion tells the truth just because your religion says it tells the truth or do you have another reason to believe that god is like you think he is?
Have you ever thought about it that even if there is a God, there's a good chance he's very different from the way your religion portrays him? Have you ever thought about it that maybe there is a God, but no heaven or hell? Have you ever thought outside the frame of your own religion or does your religion forbid that?
Atheists and theists who have no particular religion need not reply, I know your stance on this.

I am trying to understand you better and I think it's good for the mind to ponder on some things, so I was hoping you would too so you'd maybe understand others better too. I am not labelling you as non-thinkers or trying to convert you or belittle you, so please do not label me as a bigot or anything else for that matter for asking and wanting to understand you.

Hey there, yes, he may well be different from the way I perform my religion. But for me that doesn't matter too much, the point is that I try live my life to the best of my ability.
There are a few choices of religions in the world, but I happen to believe that the Christian way may be closest to the truth. That doesn't mean everything Crhistian it an absolute certainty, but isn't it the best alternative to live as you think is right ?
Have you ever thought it might be totally true? What if we are right and you guys are really attacking God and will have to answer for it some day soon.
Listen, what you don't understand it that we don't have our faith in a bunch of words, or some guy that died a couple of thousand years ago.
We have a living Lord and a living Word of God, the Bible is not just a Book it is the Word of God and it speaks to us with the help of the Holy Spirit. This Spirit is the Spirit of Truth and gives us understanding.
Some day you will know the truth, I hope it's not to late. Please consider the opposite of your question and think about what you will say when you stand before Jesus.

Yes, I think most people question their beliefs. In fact, as a Christian, I have asked myself every last one of those questions you posed (what makes me think my religion has the truth about God over others). It really is quite a straw man when non-theistic folks characterize theistic folks as non-thinking (though I'm not saying you have fallen into that trap).
The reasons I believe are based on both experiential knowledge that I couldn't expect anyone else to understand because such knowledge is subjective, but it's also based on logic.
I dont go to church or my religion because of what they tell me, Instead I go to learn more deeply what I already know. When u know God exist, and u have felt his pressence so deeply that then u wonder how u've ever lived with out him. Its pretty difficult to explain how I feel. And yeah of course no one religion is right to its fullest, it is impossible, but god sees us for what we know individually not as a unit. I know that if u try asking God in ur mind for a sign that he exist, U name it, anything weird, he will make it happen for u. and u will have no doubt about it. I did it and, now I believe.
Certainly GOD exists as all I have to do is look out the window and see the glories of nature. the way GOD exists is up to the individual as even in the same denomination of any religion there are going to be differences in belief. GOD is to big to be in just one place or in any one particular religion. this is why there is free will and freedom of choice in how one worships. respect all religions and take what one believes to best the best from each and abandon what one believes to be wrong might be one solution in my personal opinion.
