How, mathematically, is it possible for Richard to be the leader in Yahoo Answers?

OK, he's been a member for a year.
He has 220,000 points.
he has answered about 6000 questions, with best answers for about half of them (which is impressive). That's 12*3000+2*3000, or about 50,000 points.
He has not asked too many questions
Say he logs in every day. That's 365 points, so now he has 50,365 points, approximately.
Say he votes for 100 best answers a day. That's another 40,000 points. Maybe that makes 100,000 points.
Where did the other 212,000 points come from?
I'm not trying to get anyone in trouble here, but I'm kind of obsessed.

When Y! answers started you did get points for giving a thumbs up or thumbs down, and you got many pounts for getting thumbs up. Once I got about 100 thumbs up (and 100 extra points) for a single best answer. Now I think they limit the number of thumbs up that give you points to 20 or so. And because he is the points leader many see his answers and give him thumbs up.

For starters, your last question should be:

Where did the other 120,000 points come from?

Not

Where did the other 212,000 points come from?

Because 220,000 - 100,000 = 120,000

So that correction alone explains 92,000 points.

Perhaps he got 212,000 thumbs up?

I have no idea, really... I have wondered the same thing about some of the leaders.

He needs to get a job. He obviously has too much time on his hands...

I'm impressed, though. This is how the system works. I think the 50% on the correct answers must've been hacked into somehow. Nobody gets that many "Best's".
