A Greek Culture Question....?

I just watched the movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding". What is the liqueur served after dinner?

They said it tasted like liquorice but I didn't think it was Sambuca, since this is Italian.

Thank you.

OUZO

Ouzo (ούζο) is a Greek anise-flavored liqueur that is widely consumed in Greece. It can be drunk either straight or mixed with water.

Tastes similar to Sambuca but not as sweet it has a more intense liquorice flavor
