MAnual and Automatic transmissions in cars. can You Drive both and Which do you Prefer?

Because i can drive both, but i stall alot, so clearly im not great with the Manual, though i never grind gears, i just always shift too late and it stalls... so Automatic for me.

My Girlfriend's car actually has something called a Dual Clutch., she drives an M3.. it has both, Man and Auto... ive never driven it in Manual gears, but ive always thought that was weird, that a car can have both.

Driven both, owned both.
It's not a factor in buying a particular car for me.
But a manual in big city traffic is horrible.
Parking in a big city with a manual is horrible.
Mountain driving with a manual is horrible.
Automatic is just easier.
I have an automatic now.
But I don't know, with the $4.00 per gal gas prices in Chicago now, a manual would be cheaper.

That depends. I live and work in a country where hills are very common. Even though I am also living and working in a rural area, the country where I am is so overpopulated that the traffic flow is more densed than in Australia or North America, especially when you go into a small town. If you live in North America on flat lands, Australia, or South Africa, driving manual is better (but not inthe big cities). If you are in South Korea, drive automatic.

I can drive both, but I prefer the automatic. Too much stop and go traffic to really enjoy the advantages of a stick. However, if you were to get me on the open highway without restrictions, then I love the way the I can control the vehicle.

I learned to drive both Manual and Automatic transmissions. I do both well!

The one thing I can do better than my husband is drive a Manual trans.

I can drive both. I taught myself to drive manual, which I prefer. When you're driving manual, you feel like you have more control of the car. Plus, it's better on gas.
