Mr. Mark Taranto(Ranto) and everyone else that wants to answer!!!?

Hi Mr.Taranto

I am one of your favorite fans on Yahoo Answers and have read many of the answers that you have wrote to the questioners. Personally I also have a couple of question that I would like to ask as well. So whenever you have time please answer these questions. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Also anyone else that answer your answers will also be greatly appreciated.

1. I live in Ontario Canada and am currently in my second year of high school (Gr.10). I was just wandering how many students from Canada applies to the Undergraduate Wharton program each year and how many are accepted?

2. For University of Pennsylvania (Wharton) does IB students have equal amounts of chance of making it, in regards to AP students?

3. You once said that extra curricular are easy to pad therefore they are not as important as everyone believe so. Can you elaborate on that a bit as to the order that University of Pennsylvania places extra curricular activities and perhaps academics. Ex/ 1.academics 2. volunteer 3. test scores etc...

4. Can you perhaps look at my chance of getting in. Although some of the things below have not been accomplished I will list them anyways and please give feedback on where I can improve and the areas in which I should do more.
- IB program (will continue and finish)
- 6 and 7 scores on the IB test (hoping)
- SAT Reasoning will be above 2150 (hoping) and perhaps a 35+ on the ACT, also great marks for the SAT Subject test
- Have my own small business which is a non-profitable organization
- Have volunteered in the area of business (accounting, finance, human resource) Names of company are Moneris and GSP corp.
- Also volunteered at other places (non-profitable organizations)
- Numerous Club leaders at my school
- On the badminton and tennis team
- Hoping to go to IDCD for DECA, made it to the top 10 of my respective catergory in my previous year.
- Lastly I do hope that I can write a very convincing essay

Finally I just want to say thank you if you were able to take the time and read my questions and your feedbacks will be greatly appreciated. Once again thank you so much!!!

1. I have no idea how many Canadians are at Wharton. I had at least one undergraduate student from Canada and at least two Canadian MBA students when I taught there.

2. I know absolutely nothing about the IB program.

3. I have no first hand knowledge about what they do. The comment on extracurricular activities is (to me) just an obvious truth. How could they attach a lot of important to something that is so easy for someone to lie about when there is no way to find out the truth?
