Fellow Jews and Noahides, which translated (on-line) Tanakh do you find to be the best?
I've switched from JPS (http://www.hareidi.org/bible/) to Mechon-Mamre (http://www.mechon-mamre.org/), but I'd like to know which YOU prefer and why.

Don't let Schmo hear you say that - he's proud of his Noahide involvement!

I like what Chabad has online because I'm so familiar with it and it has the Rashi commentary. I've been using it for a long time now because of those great daily emails they send out.
Edit:
Your links were broken so I'm adding them in my answer:
answer: certain, we commonly echo Jewish ideas. at the same time as it includes abortion and contraceptives that's a own decision as to what you experience and what you inspire or strive against for. something that has been frequently happening in Judaism is abortion contained in the circumstances of rape, incest or if the existence of the mummy are threatened and the fetus isn't achievable, like ectopic pregnancies. Layla - respectfully, Noahides are those who experience a kinship with Judaism yet have not lengthy handed by a conversion procedure yet or won't be able to at this element of their lives. case in point, someone who's interested in Orthodox Judaism yet is married to someone who isn't - they could be a Noahide, adhering to the 7 guidelines.
Both use JPS; at least, that's what M-M says on its website. And I think they're both the 1917 translation, which is kinda OK but not great. The best print translation I've seen to date is Elliott Friedman's "Commentary on the Torah" although it only covers the Pentateuch.
For example, both online versions get the verb tense of Genesis 1:1 wrong, which is the first thing I look for.
I'm neither but I do like to research stuff myself, so I hope you don't mind the jump-in.
Personally I like the Judaica Press at Chabad. You can see the verses alone, or turn on Rashi's commentary right along with it here: http://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/63255/jewish/The-Bible-with-Rashi.htm
