Three kittens (two female, one male) were abandoned at approx 3 weeks of age. Its hit or miss usage and I'm not positive who is and isn't using the box. Typically Mom shows them these things but as Mom was hit by a car, that's not an option.

If you find poop or urine outside of the litter box, immediately clean it up and deodorize it, because when cats need to use the restroom, they always go in the place they used the last time. This way, the kitten won't know where he pooped/peed last, because he won't be able to smell it. If it is poop that you are cleaning, take the poop in a paper towel and drop it into the litter box. I know this sounds weird, but it will make the kitten smell his own scent in the litter box, and he will use it the next time he has to go.
as long as she's making use of it 2-thrice an afternoon she's unlikely everywhere else. they frequently do no longer bypass plenty greater desirable than that cuz they do no longer consume that plenty while they are kittens. i've got consistently had indoor cats so the single ingredient I did learn replaced into do no longer make it too some distance removed from thenm in the beginning up--often times they forget approximately the place this is placed--stable success!
as soon as you see them scratching at the ground gently pick them up and place them in the box. i had a kitten too and that was a definite sign that he had to go. also make sure that the box is not to high for them because after a good 10-30 minutes they'll try to climb in themselves.
place any droppiings into litter box & place them in one at a time.. so they know what its for ...the mOm cat never could show them...so you have to-its not natural instict..
