I'm a 16 year old male. I'm going to begin singing lessons soon. I have 7 years of drum experience (i know that won't help), and 1.5 years of guitar experience. If I practice how long should it take me to be able to carry a note and sound pretty good. Not anything special, just good enough to sing a melody and sound good. Please no answers like, "depends on how hard you practice" or "depends on how good your teacher is".

Singing teachers will cost money and can be expensive so they're not for everyone. Singing can be learned so it's not an "either you have it or you don't" kind of thing.
Whether you sound like crap or you're decent, I recommend this singing course. It's one of the best methods to learn to sing well in a short amount of time. It's all about using efficient techniques that work.

i kinda depends on your talent..really you could pick it up in a year and be great or you do it for ten and be good buy on a regular prob. 2
