I really cant see this been correct ........ however with saying that, Stoner does not like the GP10 and he was very close to Livio Suppo who is now at HRC, so you never know, the rumors might be right.

The last line is where its at "This is the problem with having two weeks between races. It leaves journalists with too much time on their hands..." Far too early to be thinking about next year, especially with the bikes (perhaps) changing. Though if its true, I think its a good move by Stoner. getting in quickly instead of hanging around. I remember the thinking Pedrosa had nowhere to go. If Im right and Lorenzo and Rossi are fighting for their seat. This Factory Yamaha team. (Ben) Pedrosa's best bet is staying with Honda and has to finish ahead of Dovi. Nicky will keep his ride if he continues the way he is. So as far as I see it there is only the Stoner Rossi swap available. If Ducati are determined to have Rossi I think Stoner either has to be fit enough to fight him or move. Honda may be back and Ducati may be going backwards. I think they will wait a few more races before signing anything.
Edit @ Ashlee, thats a fair point about Marlboro getting upset with Casey. But he is still the only guy out there who can consistantly ride the red beast. Their sponsorship money wont get as much airtime with a mid pack rider. and there is nothing to say the great Rossi can ride it either ......(yet) Rossi would have to tempt Jerry to move with him, and he wants to retire. more food for thought.
Livio Suppo said that people may be taking but no one has signed anything yet. I can't believe a rider like Casey would sign 2 races into the season. I don't think anyone will sign until June at the earliest! Unless it is someone like Hayden or Dovi. I do think though that they were talking about a possible switch to Honda as Casey's Dad was there and apparently doesn't go to many of the races. The fact Livio was in Casey's motorhome for an hour or however long it was I wouldn't say that it is a big thing apart from the fact that his Dad was there. Hmm I think that it could be very possible that Stoner could move to Honda next year but I think he would be very stupid to do so. I know that he was upset about Ducati trying to get nearly every other good racer to sign with them while he was a way but it wasn't for his seat at the end of the day. They were signing the new rider as Stoner's team mate. Hayden made it obvious that it was his job on the line. I don't see why he would swap when he is on a good bike and number 1 rider. I think if Hayden beats him a lot this year then maybe that might push a swap a little more. I think you need to ask me this question again in 2 races time.
Food for thought though. What is Marlboro don't want Casey as one of their riders anymore? Marlboro pay Casey and Nicky's wages and I know they were very annoyed when Casey went off sick last year. I think they were the ones pushing for Lorenzo to come over more than Ducati were to be honest. He also doesn't like to do all the PR which is really important. So what if Marlboro don't want to pay for his wage anymore? Also with Hayden doing well they will also have more of a reason to say that he is no longer needed. Only food for thought.
I must have been watching another race.... It looked to me as if he was on his own and lost the rear. A cold tyre accident. as for being fast - I agree with that. At Qatar he was almost 2 seconds a lap quicker (in the race ! ) here he was definitely catching the leaders and was probably the quickest on track at the time. I still think he knows how quick he is, and how quick the bike is. he is just too impatient and goes too early before everything is settled in. In his defence, you have to think all these guys are running on the edge. a fine line between on and off. the cautious inevitably dont usually win. I think his statement may be taken out of context. he may just be pointing out he "is" going quicker and therefore pushing the envelope that bit more. I never really take after race interviews seriously. there is still too much adrenaline flowing for real reactions. I just hope he gets it together again quickly and makes the Yamaha boys fight for the wins. I also hope Nicky keeps getting better too. Edit.. from the MotoGP website. Casey's comment :- "I went through that corner and lost the front about halfway through it, and it’s not really a corner where you are pushing.” Show's I was watching another race. I saw him lose the rear... ? Edit 2.... Comment from Nicky .... Best view right behind Stoner A I mean, I seen it right ... it was right in front of me. I seen the front - well, yeah, I seen the front go a little, and then I seen his left foot come off. I was right there. I know it always looks like slow motion, but seemed like forever. The front was gone, and he was on his elbow, and he was trying to save it, and I couldn't open the throttle because he was staying on line. And I was thinking, "I'm about to, the guys behind me are about ..." It seemed like a long time. I don't know. But anyway, I was waiting to open the throttle, and he just ... when I passed him, he was still had it on his knee. That was it. I seen him, I'm not sure what. Lost the front. I need to watch it again. im certain the back comes round.
