What foods would you like for bedrest?

Unfortunately I have to be on bedrest for two days this week, so I'm going shopping after work tomorrow and then that's it for food until Friday night after work. Don't worry, it definitely doesn't have to be healthy at all. I love cheese, need (seriously) fatty foods, and don't care for sweets at all. We can't afford delivery or takeout.

But if you had to just lay there on a couch/bed for two days with someone else making food for you, what are some good ideas? My husband will be cooking for me, I already have one of my favorite breakfast hashbrown casseroles on the list.

Throw any ideas out there, he's a good cook and I'll be in pain and hungry!

When I'm ill I like soft boiled eggs over diced, buttered toast. I think nice hot and thick stew would be nice, and chicken stew with dumplings.

chinese hot and sour soup or thai tom yum soup is good.

With no idea what is wrong with you then their should be no reason why you can't eat whatever you wish.

I was in hospital for 8 weeks and I could have whatever was on the menu. I always found there was never enough and actually ate a cooked lunch and a cooked dinner once I worked out how to fiddle the daily menu order forms.

I generally got out of bed for a few hours to eat and have a nap so I wasn't ling in bed all day, but I always stayed in bed for breakfast just to have "breakfast in bed". LoL

I feel that since you are bedrest, you should prepare something easy. Spagetti is too difficult to eat when someone is on bedrest, what about pasta :) Nachos with cheese? Ask him to get you some soup :)
